1) show not tell by giving examples
2) explain passions
3) tie all activities back to degree
4) look up what each uni wants
5) state why you want that degree upfront
6) big your extra curricular stuff up-“humble things that are amazing”
7) read it out loud so many times
8) your first draft is never yours first draft.
9) don’t lie- be able to talk about what you write irl

Well, it's not necessarily an academic study, but people who aren't Japanese who watch anime could count as appreciating other cultures.
Watching subbed anime also requires you to read quickly while also consuming what's going on in the screen. That could count as multitasking (and also literary skill).
These are just from the top of my head. You may have been joking or not even wanting a response, but if you dig deep enough, I'm sure you can turn around anything and make it sound academic. Good luck, everyone!

As a 33 year old nurse with 2 kids under 3, I am attempting to get onto a masters programme at my local university. I can’t remember the last time I had to submit a personal statement and I didn’t know where to begin! What a wonderful, intelligent young woman! She was born to teach, this was so helpful and has really helped me think ‘outside the box’. I hope I get onto the course to better myself and my children! I wish this young lady every success! Writing my personal statement when I was applying to oxford and Imperial the other year was long but I loved what it was talking about so it was fun.
Oh my God girl . You can tell that you've done research and really shows your passion .i've watched so many of this kind of videos and let me tell you i think your advice about not being wishiwashy and being straight forword about your passion is the best advice ever.
Your tips were extremely valuable to me. Got accepted in a top program in my field of studies!

@@yadandiaye4897 Trust me, you wouldn't. Personal statements are so subjective, I sent mine to 4 different teachers and all of them disagreed on where I'd done well and what I could improve. It's annoying as hell.

I'm from Germany and applied for Unis in the UK. I mistakenly thought that I had time till August to apply so when I found out in mid June that I had till the 30t to write a personal statement without any prior knowledge about it I had to rush. Had my englisch teacher and an international students council service look over it.
Got declined by Aberdeen and accepted by Exeter and Lancaster 🎉

I am studying social work and getting into the course at the uni I go to was not easy because you need a loooot of social engagement. Now I was just thinking about applying for an "advanced training" for 4 weekends in Cologne at Unicef, but I thought "wow there a so many requirements and you might be overwhelmed with the responsibilities afterwards" but now I am so motivated that I am going to apply 💪 thank you Vee💗🌸
