I live near your Marietta Ga store and I’m looking for a new bcd & octopus. Are there any holiday sales going on or coming soon?

Get a backplate and wing. It's a lifetime purchase.

      I second @TravisKersting statement. Get a wing.
Here you have a text wall now. 😆😆😆
In 2024 and for 2025 you really cant go wrong with XDEEP. There are many other brands that compare and I would not say pick this over them or them over this. XDeep is just another really good brand with really good products and they will last you many years if not a lifetime. It does not matter if you are the top tech diver or a brand new open water diver, they are a good fit for all and everyone across all types of diving use them. Hollis is another good brand although right now Xdeep has the best backplate with the "NX" line IMHO. But that plate and harness works with Hollis and other wings so you can always mix and match as an "upgrade" in the future. Whether its an upgrade is up to you I am just making the example. But there are many other great brands to go backplate and wing.
As for the octo, get whatever brand matches your first stage. I know there are some case you don't have too but stick with the same brand just to be safe. Apeks, Scubapro, Halcyon, Dive Rite... Take your pick. They are all great and you cant go wrong with any of them tbh. You can also go dual second stages but your going to spend a little bit more cash getting a higher end regulator that wont free flow or that you can tune out. I currently use dual Apeks MTX-RC regulators in a DIR setup and have never had an issue. They are kind of heavy though and there are better and much cheaper options.

@@TravisKerstingVery good recommendation. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t regret going with a traditional style BCD after trying out a backplate and wing.
