You're actually supposed to use that Parple Rupeu to buy the Blue Dimond. Then you use the Blue Dimond to unlock the black tunic, which lets you fly. I know this because my uncle works at Nintendo and he told me.

On my controller I basically can't scroll very slowly (on N64 emulation only) so I was wondering if you can fix that via software, else I would need to buy a different controller for OoT/MM randos. Thanks in advance if anyone should reply.
It's because of emulation. Emulators suck for first person movement. He's on console which helps a lot and also has an adapter for even finer movement.

I know this game about 90% if we count logic stuff and I still get anywhere between 5 to 10 hours, you should seriously 100% the normal game before trying the randomizer out

Yes, this is possible. I think that's why he made the rules to require 7 dungeon rewards, allowing I think for 2 hard locked bosses. I'm not sure what the statistics are here, but I think it's probably very rare for more than 2 to be hard locked.
There's 361 item checks in OoT, according to the rando website (not counting potsanity which IIRC is like 1.2k). One boss reward being its own key is therefore 1/361, and two is 1/130,321. Assuming ZFG takes approximately five hours on average to do a randomizer (and that I'm doing my math right), it would take ZFG an entire *lifetime* of nonstop rando streaming to find one seed that locks two boss keys behind their respective bosses. (Approx 75 years)
He did have a seed where he had two bosses which required skips after he implemented the rule. One was a boss key was that boss' reward and the other boss had SoS but then its boss key was behind a SoS grotto.
I haven't been into OoT speedrunning since 2019, but ZFG was moving incredibly fast at some points in this run. Is there some recent new tech that allows you to move faster with hover boots or something? Or am I just going crazy lol
