    Will this method (roughly) work on a fiber HDMI cable as well? Or are those just easier to replace?

    Thanks for the video, I tried the first method where you screw the wires to the adapter to connect a 10 meters hdmi cable to connect my projector to the AV receiver. All the connections where made well as I tried it with a tester, but It doesn't work. Surprisely this cable works if I connect the AV receiver to a TV. I thought that maybe the cable is too long and it looses quality that the projector requires. I tried to do another test connect the connectors to a short cable only 0,5 meters long. It happens the same. Now I will try the 3rd method and hope it will work.

    Can the ground wire go into any empty terminal?

    How did you knew what cable(the colored ones) go with each pin of the HDMI port? With the multimeter, but what should the multimeter say? Thanks

    Hi friend, which wires in the HDMI cable are responsible for carrying the video signal? I have a working smartphone screen, and I have a board similar to yours, I would like to use this screen on this board.

    Do you have links to: adapter did you use with your multimeter, iron you used to strip data cables, n clamp you used to hold the connector in place, tiny wire cutters you use with the green handle?
    Thanks.

      This is common tools and you can use any equivalent to them, following description below:
      - alligator clips(included in multimeter kit) with a piece of thin copper wire;
      - 5v/8w USB soldering iron;
      - 150mm (6'') spring clamp;
      - 4.5 inch precision wire cutters.
      There are a few reasons why there is no links in the description.

    Hello, thank you for the video.
    Why did you decide to cut off 20cm of the original cable? -- Where do you recommend I buy the replacement HDMI connector? -- Thank you

      Hi! I used that peace of cable for further inspection and soldering practice, you can see that on the video(15:00).
      The best place to get those connector is local DIY electronics stores and suppliers which have them in stock, otherwise, delivery time is unpredictable.

    Desde el puerto HDMI hembra se puede sacar un puerto USB? Es para conectar un panel táctil del mismo puerto HDMI, he reciclado una pantalla de laptop con su panel táctil y quiero que cuando conecté el HDMI me reconosca el panel táctil?.

    If it's this tedious to fix why not just buy a new one lol

      - Cable runs in the wall;
      - Cable cost is very high ;
      - Reducing e-waste ;
      - etc.
