Another great video! After finding your videos about a year ago I've tried a few times to do hc ssf. I've always just played online, but yesterday I beat the game hc ssf for the first time. It's such a fun way to play. Thanks for the content and for introducing me to this style of playing the game.Can't wait to see more videos!

@@thenuclearrabbit So amazing. The x series was so much better than the regular one in my opinion. I tried 11 lately and it got some aspects from the x series. I recommend you try it.

Another great video. Every time I watch your video, it motivates me to do a new run in the classic version. My own experience of playing the classic mode in the remaster and watching your videos makes me think seriously. Did we really need an addon? The balance of the classic version seems clearer and fairer, and is more comfortable to play with most classes. I think at some point the original Blizzard North team took a wrong turn and even the new team's work on the resurrection didn't improve the situation much. :\
Thank you! The addon is just a very different experience and I honestly think both are enjoyable in their own way. The biggest issue with the full game for me is that the difficulty spikes are insane for melee builds. Classic is a much more consistent experience. Assassin and Druid have the same fluidity in the full game as the other builds do in the original. So they definitely knew what they were doing with the balance. It's just a preference thing I think in the end

I will definitely try the Classic one someday. By the way, you said that you plan to record the walkthrough with all possible builds. How many are there in total? Has anyone even tried to count them?
My excel sheet is up to about 300. And I'm sure I'm missing a bunch.
Your videos are great. I think a cool series would be to try and do these builds but without changing away from Players 8. Players 8 Hell run with a Frenzy Barb sounds impossible lol.
It's not impossible but it does sound very tedious to be honest. It gets requested a lot though, so I might just do it at some point
I'm selfish because I'm on my 2nd attempt with a Barbarian and I've gotten stuck in Hell Act 1 both times... I need tips and tricks haha.@@thenuclearrabbit
Yeah no that sounds completely as I expected it to go and exactly why I'm not really into it. But it's a very popular request so I'm gonna do it at some point. Not for a while though.
Strat wise. Farm the dungeon next to blood raven cause it's relatively safe. Get up to lvl 85+ (for chance to hit) and use the biggest weapons you can find.

I could not for the life of me get into PoE. It was just to overwhelming. But I will be checking out PoE 2 :) Diablo 2 will always be one of the GOAT games though
So classic with a controller basically always had the "quick cast" that was introduced in d2r? Some classes and builds it hardly matters but I wouldn't want to play some of my more complex builds without it. I've never playd d2 on consol, let alone a controller so I'm curious, seeing this.
I've never played true classic only the remastered version. They did bring along playersx and other QoL stuff so I'm guessing it was a part of that. Playing on controller is just a matter of getting used to it. I prefer it cause it means I don't have to use a mouse and keyboard for everything I do. It also means my recording sessions are just chilling out in my living room instead of at a desk :)
I can say that tal ammy does not exist in LoD either 😂 picked up maybe 1000 ammy with none being tal
If I wasn't on single player I'd just give you a couple of them. I have... more than 1 lol. Just keep picking them up you'll get it :)
So, Classic WW Barb is one of the best builds in the game, but Full Game WW Barb is just fine, Classic Summonmancer is like sh1t while Full Game Summonmancer is one of the best builds in the game. But Hammerdin is like OP in every version, and every patch in the game.

Hammerdin is garbage in expansion for 1.07-1.09. Also, classic 1.07 and 1.08. Classic 1.00-1.06 and 1.09, it's usable but pretty underwhelming.
Lvl40 in hell, how come?
You can just do that in Classic. I think with a bit of practice I could clear Hell at lvl 45-46ish in Classic.

"and we just kill him because we are a hammerdin and the rules of the game do not apply to us" 😂😂😂... a lot of truth to that... i have a lvl 65 zon on ladder hc pre expansion and its really disappointing the lack of gear she has and the damage she can do. yeah you can clear the game but farming it? barbs can do it better, hammerdins can do it better, sorcs can do it better, necro can do it better... i think zon may be the worst class pre expansion and that really blew my mind.
I didn't know. I haven't done Zon in classic yet. To be fair though, I feel the same way about Druids and Necro's in expansion. Once you beat the game with them they feel kinda done. Which is a shame cause the Poison Nova Necro and the Fire Druid are some of my favorite builds.
