    You lucky Thunder fans… Lol alright y’all let me know what you think of OKC going into this year!
    Side note… am I the only one that thinks they need to clean up their branding? Low key bad uniforms and logo IMO. Gotta be something better out there.

      A lot of us OKC fans hate our branding. I’m one of the few that likes it how it is. Those charcoal jerseys should stay though.

    as a raptors fan i watched your raptors preview yesterday, and have been slowly watching a bunch more. Love your vids! the spreadsheet is nice, your voice is very balanced your clearly not bringing in personal feelings about players in, and your knowledge seems to be super deep. I'm fairly new to basketball (7 years since i started watching again) but I love to engage with nerdy content and learn more about the game! so excited for this season! would love to come join the discord! GOOD PREVIEWS!

    Big Thunder guy here. Honestly love your idea on Joe starting. Everyone is saying IHart or Caruso but Joe might be the best fit like you are saying. It’ll be really interesting what Mark will do but I’m excited as ever to see what this team does this year

      @@jackswanson8236 You lucky Thunder fan lol. I’m very envious. Yeah it’s interesting that the lineup data is so transparent about Joe being the key piece. I wonder if we see it in action.

      @devxplayerdevelopment หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@_AVC_You’ll see Joe along side SGA a lot, but it will be more when SGA is running the 2nd unit. Having Caruso in there to start is the perfect fit. Can close with any combo of the Big 3 and literally anyone else in the top 9.

    • @_AVC_

      @@devxplayerdevelopment I suppose that’s the hope! I don’t know if he’ll have the same gravity that we know Joe has but Caruso does just tend to play winning basketball so it probably doesn’t matter too much.

    Great vid!
    1. I am very high on Topic, he can be the “Maestro” of the second unit, and play next to the starters.
    2. Loved the “lineup utilization” part. I think OKC will have the ability to be the most versatile team in the NBA. They will be able to play against every team - run 2 bigs (like Minnesota), run Chet at the 5, run so many defenders, it’s unfair. They are thinking about the playoffs…
    The most amazing thing is that they are so young. With only players on the roster, in 5 years they can have:
    PG: SGA/Topic
    SG:Wallace (a Kentucky guard so I am high on him)/Joe
    SF: Dort/Wiggins
    PF: J Dub/Dieng
    C: Chet/Williams
    That’s without Caruso and Hartenshtein, no draft picks, no trades… that’s amazing!
    How to draft well, develop young players and build a team 101

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LiamEdelshtein Yeah this team is just playing this game the right way. Emphasizing a good culture and internal development is a sure fire way of doing it. They seem to have figured out the unlimited draft picks glitch as well haha!

    • @LiamEdelshtein
      @LiamEdelshtein 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The perfect example is Chet - was hurt during his “first season” and look how perfectly he fits in…
      That’s a sign of the system and the team around him…
      That’s why I am high on Topic.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@LiamEdelshtein Yeah I hope he gets a good chance to build some confidence and get stronger! They don’t seem to miss on picks very often so I’m inclined to think something good will come from it.

    I love the idea of Joe in the starting lineup but I think we put too much of emphasis on being a starter but it may just be a matter of which particular lineup is able to give us more of what we need at that point, which generally could be to come out strong offensively at the jump. Similar to how Hartenstein would be favoured to be in the starting lineup in a matchup against the Nuggets and Jokic.
    Outside of the core 3, I think everyone else is matchup dependent.

    • @_AVC_
      @_AVC_  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@chinhong4578 I actually totally agree with your statement about the emphasis of a starter. It really shouldn’t matter that much. I will say though, in my time as a coach players definitely care about it haha. Players also value consistency in that stuff so it can be tough to balance. But I do agree it should be a more dependent variable for them.

    Hi thanks for the analasys. OKC's stars will have team friendly cintracts for 3 years . That's why Presty gave Hartenstein 87 mln for 3 seasons. But he can't shoot. And OKC throw threes. So a lot will depend on Holmgren's progress. On the otherr hand, they have undersized 1st unit.
    So... what about a trade of Dort+ pick/s for Jaden Mcdaniels. It will save Minnesota some taxes. But i doubt if they avree to strengthen the rivals

    I'm guessing they'll address their Wing problems in the next draft which is LOADED with talented wings. Esp with the thunder having like the clippers pick which could be sooo useful and if the clippers really do stink and not even make the playoffs... that could help this thunder team land HIGHER in the draft and maybe have a shot at someone like Ace Bailey, Hugo Gonzalez, or Drake Powell which are all TALENTED WINGS that if the thunder can land? I'll prolly stick with the picks instead of trading them away just to get a DFS or Kuzma who tbh aren't really intriguing.
