I have severely alkaline soil but I am going to try the container idea. Can't believe your raspberries mine don't even have leaves yet. What a beautiful place you live in. And your gift for nurturing and appreciating beauty has always inspired.

I planted blueberries in an area with alkaline soil, so I added lots of peatmoss to the soil. Two years later I dug them up and gave them to friends that live in an acidic soil area. The plants were smaller after two years than when I planted them. I didn't think about the alkaline water that I was giving them.

Hi from Canada I have just discovered your fabulous channels Your information is incredible and easily understood. However I think it would be tremendously helpful if you could state the zones where the featured plants would grow successfully.You are based in Arkansas so the plants featured would be unlikely to flourish in my zone 3.

I got Babycakes Thornless Blackberry last year from Lowes. I LOVE the bloom! It looks like Clematis. I had to check the stem to make sure. Upon reading I found out that the blackberry is in the Rose family with (5) petals. I found out that I can propagate my blackberry and I want to add other varieties. With which blackberry are you most pleased? I live in Pittsburgh, PA zone 6. Do any of your blackberry flowers have colors other than white. How do you care for your blackberries? Where is a good nursery to get blackberries? Your strawberry lemonade really looks refreshing.

How beautiful - all that fruit!
This year my Strwberries have failed utterly. Plants I put in several years ago, gave more nd more fruit - and baby plants - througj last Spring. We had another miserable wet cokd Winter and most of the Plants in the geound died, and rhose thst survived - a handful - have produced about a dozwn Berries. Total. I ordered more Bareroot plants this Speing and put them all in Pots, but agsin, though the Plants have grown - almosy NO FRUIT.
It has been the wettest year on record here in Pittsburgh, muxh colder thsn normal and virtually NO SUNLIGHY.
My Raspberries on the other hand have gone crazy - THOUSANDS of Berries attempting to swell and ripen. Bees and other insects are hovering around them. IF it gets warmer, MAYBE I will have a nice Ceop!

I have a question. I have about 6 raspberry plants.I I would like to build a 4" raised garden for them since it gets very wet after rain. Can I build up the dirt around them or will It kill them.? Should they be dug up and replanted. They are about 2 years old.

Allan: There are wild blackberries growing on my property- I’ve done all I can to discourage them. ( no roundup- Have Honey Bees ) They are back & in full bloom. Can I just eat them ?

Yes. Most wild can be a little seedy though. Good in a tart or pie.

I’m wanting to add some berry bushes in my Arkansas garden. Did you add something in your potted blueberries to get the right ph?

Just make sure it’s slightly acidic. Check your fertilizer or there are other organic matters you can blend in.

Those ripe raspberries didn't look like heritage red, too small and too shiny. He should talk more about the health and environmental benefits of organic farming since he supports it.

Horrible lemonade recipe. 1.5 cups added sugar in approximately 7 cups of lemonade. Over a fifth of a cup of sugar per 1 cup serving.

You've got to consider this show is quite a few years old, and there wasn't much awareness regarding sugar back then.
