    I mixed the Emergence demos with Fables & Lores and they work well together. Both minimal textural libraries. Easy to overdo it. Beautiful for sure!

    I enjoyed your introduction to Viola Textures, Jonas. In particular, you showed me I'd missed the Multis!!! Must see where they're hiding😊. This really is very special, isn't it .... Emergence Audio libraries ooze emotion. I really love the sounds and they suit my music well - I hear it as textures rather than melody+harmony+structure, before it emerges into existence.

      Thanks @kaysmusic5865 ! Their libraries are really fantastic and just as you said they serve a unique purpose of creating textures and soundscapes rather than the traditional melody and harmony patches. I’ve really been enjoying them

    Hey Jonas! I know you’ve been busy with projects and that’s a good thing. But when you make your return to TH-cam, I was wondering if you could make a video about the different platforms composers use. Specifically which platforms to use for live online spotting sessions/video reviews with directors, or live Cubase sessions online with other composers. That sort of thing.

    • @jonasfriedman

      Sure thing 🤘I believe on one project we used a software called moxion - on others I’ve used zoom and the game I’m wrapping up uses Google meet and discord - it’s pretty straight forward where someone ( usually an editor) shares their application with video and audio for everyone else to see and hear. Will go into more detail when we’re back up and running

    Oooo me like!! I’ve been using Crow Hill’s String Murmurations and Small String Gestures which are similar but not as intimate. These could be a great accompaniment.

Kind of reminds me of String Murmurations by Crow Hill, you should check out that library too, great aleatoric style string patches!

    Wow - that was really amazing, thanks for the great review. question: is it possible to also solo-play an instrument with faster tempos'?

    • @jonasfriedman

      with this library you're not going to be able to play fast lines - it's strength is in long, held out sustain for textures and sound design and I personally use it to blend with slow moving emotional strings.

    Do the presets match across the violins, cellos and violas for a section sound?

    • @jonasfriedman

      The presets in the instrument are more creative based, so they are different for each library as each instrument has different sonic capabilities. I don’t plan to personally use these as a traditional ensemble library but instead a textural library that can be blended with lots of other sounds to either create more realism or atmospheric and sound design styled beds

    Reminds me of what CROW HILL is doing.

    • @jonasfriedman

      I have yet to check out crow hill, been hearing a lot about them but I’m not sure they’re the same thing - emergence audio has also been putting this series out using their engine and sampling technique for quite a while - before crow hill began (I believe) so I personally feel the library stands on its own.

    Sounds beautiful, but how is this going to give me more than anything from Spitfire..like ALT SOLO STRINGS, BRitsh drama toolkit, etc. Just asking thanks!

    • @jonasfriedman

      I feel this library sort of stands on its own in terms of the personality it has and the emotion in the performance. The Multis I find especially great and different from other textural libraries I’ve used and own - it’s worth pointing out this library is also much less expensive than the spitfire libraries you’ve mentioned. I didn’t put this in the video cause I didn’t know what the price was going to be when I made it but I think the intro offer is like 65 bucks which to me is a complete no brainer!

    Great concept and unique sounds. However the basic instrument sound seems a little harsh; I am listening on a phone, is it just me?

    • @jonasfriedman

      Listening through a phone will definitely cause solo’d strings to sound thin and brittle aka harsh. These samples naturally have a more raw / Rosiny sound that is effective for using on their own as I have in my sample track or blending with warmer strings to add another layer of realism. I always recommend headphones when referencing audio files or music demonstrations🙂

    • @MichaelDowComposer

      I actually find the solo viola a really harsh sounding instrument often. They have a sort of scratchy tone to them.
      Perfect for darker underscore. But. Yeah listening on phone isn't ideal.
      Great demo I love all their stuff. I can't wait for more of the series. Oboe? 😀

    My question is can I get a normal sound out of this library as well? Or is it only effects?

    • @jonasfriedman

      It’s not a traditional library so no legato, staccato or patches like that. It’s meant to be a textures library so while you can get a very natural “normal sound” and use it for traditional compositions, it’s not mean to do things like play fast lines

    As Background or ambience feel its beautifully sampled. It can be use bg for xtra flavour may be... But leading/theme i dont think so. Sorry im old fashion musician, i want to control all scores exactly and predictably. i appreciate modern approacing, i like your channel but it is a reason why orchestral samples have their own sampling methods my opinion. May be as an musician im not 'there' yet...❤

    • @jonasfriedman

      You are correct, this is not meant for legato lines, theme writing or things like that…it’s not it’s purpose. Every library needs to serve a purpose and this one I personally feel had a very specific purpose of creating string textures that compliment my other traditions libraries with traditional techniques (legato, spiccato, pizz etc)
