Great vid Mike. You do make it look easy (though someone clearly holding you back on the second start 😆...) and your enthusiasm and open minded respect of other competitors (can't all be dirt demons...) is a great example, much like your last vid. That guy on the 890 Adv Rally was stuck to you like glue on the first session.. as you say - in awe of what people on some of the bigger bikes do and show what's possible. ..
Brilliant video, and well done you are rapid! I also make similar content on my TH-cam channel, however I live up north and have all of up here to play on. Maybe I'll see you at some rallies next year on my T7 or you can host me round the Norfolk lanes 👍
Great vid you certainly were making ground up on all the other riders what a bloody mess with all that rain now a lot of pressure washing and cleaning and polishing wand all your gear to clean must be 3/4 days work to sort that out but you certainly raced hard and got a Trophy so it makes it worth the hard work congratulations to you sir take care mate
@@nicholasjarrold8649 got so much jet washing to do, the bike, the tent, most of my riding gear which is so filthy you couldn’t put it straight into the washing machine - that said you know if you’re riding in Wales you’re gonna have one hell of a clean up job after 🤷🏼♂️😂 It’s all worth it tho for a weekend of racing 👍
@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 yes it looked it , I'm terrible in race conditions the competitive side comes out , been a while for me tho , you did well to keep it on the track , did you have any scary moments on bends etc , always frightening going into those scalping road bends too hot 🔥 . Cool vid tho👍
Hi, great video. Have you tried Scott Split OTG goggles? They're specifically designed for glasses. They have a bigger frame to fit over goggles & bigger air vents. I use them & find them much better than the Oakley ones I tried before....🙂🏁
good to finally meet you Mike - and a win too after a 2 year hiatus - PS I used your line down the bank into the start bowl after seeing you use that one by the way!!
@@twowheeledadventuresuk2739 safe and sounding , a bit of aching as you do 5th in my cat but pleased I’ve finished all 3 races 1st time .. that was my goal this time around 💥
@@ADEngineeringUK great result mate, well done - do ya know what I didn’t mind Sunday so much once I got in the groove, wouldnt have been so nice if it was any colder tho, I was soaking wet all race
Yes, I just didn't get on with them at all. I have chatted with quite a few guys at races who wear glasses or contacts, some guys have told be they've had them come out when racing at speed, one guy had to stop his race because he lost one mid race, wasn't sure where it went, one guy wears one in one eye only etc. At a push I can ride slowly without any glasses, I can see enough, but not enough to ride fast. Some have said riding in the rain with no goggles on but in contacts is daft because the dirt and grit get under the contacts and can cause serious damage. Also everyone was misting up, even those without glasses, so I'm convinced the solution or even a part solution is the goggles themselves
@@leehall5845 I wanted a 6 speed bike that was good on the road so I could do the TET, carry luggage and had useful every day things like an ignition key and steering lock so it wasnt easy to nick at the petrol station

Hi mike how does it work how come you were in the last group
What made you choose the Honda over a WR 450 was it just a preference for Honda or is the WR not suitable as a rally bike ?.
