Thanks Avik, the most important is to practice our eyes to see dark / light / dark / light. First on simple object, then on more complex subject. It's a wonderful concept and I hope more artists use it :) !

However, as a native english speaker I must question the speakers utter neglect of basic english pronunciation whereby the charactetistic th sound is willfully and shamelessly replaced by a ze sound. This really cannot be so hard to correct. It is actually quite disrespectful. Non-native english speakers all over world seem able to pronounce this sound. So please, make an effort.

Actually, "scuro" it doesn't mean "obscure", it means "dark", as was stated in the video. Please look at a dictionary.

idk man. Caravaggio's works just have a dark background in the entire painting, whether the subject is dark or light.
