Beautiful work, but hopefully you cleaned that card with soap and all. You see, I watch these videos and shows about food and people who make them are more worried with looks than with hygene. I find that a disgusting qay of looking at food. Sure, nice looking food is cool, but I want my food ultra clean first. I've seen so many diagusting things on tv and yt that I already learned to dislike extra good looking food. I immediately ask: how clean were the hands that put this together? That's why I wax never a fan of going out to eat. Lord knows what hapoens in those kitchens. And boy do I know stories: hotels, fancy restaurants, fast food restaurant, you name it. Horror stories, really. So I can't admire almost anything that look slightly diety. That card on the cake is triggering. Sure, it's the ideal "tool" to make it smooth, but it better be clean.
The cards are used so they can be thrown away after each use. These cakes are not real cakes but artificial material, just to show the technique. Everything is disposed of after each one. I have a friend that does this all the time for teaching decorating
