Your podcast on land walls prompted me to watch these videos on Hagia Sophia. Amazing videos. Good pace for someone whose English is not the first language, clarity in explaination and no information overload. Thank you! Love from Pakistan 🇵🇰
The most magnificent Orthodox Cathedral in the history of humankind. The epitome of Byzantine Greek Architecture, surrounded by splendid constructions. Timeless.
Great connection you kindly point out between Saint John Gold Mouth and base of the statue that once had porphyry column and a silver statue of Emperor Arcadius wife Aelia Eudoxia first of two burning down of Ayia Sophia in 403 and NIKA RIOTS What a great view from Seven Hills Hotel
Thank you for this gift of good education which has been very helpful to my little book. May the Lord Prosper and reward you amen. In my work I have found it hard to find this kind of quality in English about Islamic gifts - to be able to respond more intelligently and more highly to the gifts of Islam has been my constant wish but I have not been able to do so. My reason for wishing this is to enhance my educative work with a better quality knowledge of both sides - to promote a more advanced love and leave behind the everlasting recriminations and blame. Maybe you could do something like this? To help Christian visitors to love and understand the goodness of Islam. Time for such generosity is here. If a Christian says “I love you” to Islam, it might make a world of difference. We must live side by side = Greece and Turkey. How wonderful it would be understand more sensitively the meaning of the flowers and tessellation patterns of the Mosques.
