Max Engelhardt good question! At the time I was running my looper/delay pedal in front of the mixer/preamp with an impedance matcher so I needed a dynamic and the SM57 was within arms reach 😆. Now I tend to run whatever mic I use to the board first and use Aux sends to incorporate stompboxes where I want them, then record the send path in addition to the dry track (probably the better method anyway tbh)
