Faithful cover - "it's derivative and not creative" band puts own spin on cover - "original was better, this is blasphemy." You can't win. This is a good version.
While people will say this is a poor cover because of the lack of anything original (which, let's face it, that's kinda true), I must say they still sounded fucking awesome. For whatever reason, it felt like I was listening to No Surprises for the first time again. My heart absolutely lit up. What an amazing feeling. I'm glad they did this cover.
love this version so much. I love the feel of radiohead's songs in general but most of the time I had no idea what Thom's singing. This cover is what I wish how it could've been.
Bruv, just chill and enjoy the music. No need to compare to the original one. The Radiohead's is a masterpiece, this cover is pretty much soothing and enjoyable. As simple as that.

This cover brought chills down my spine. The atmosphere completely changed hearing this song being performed by one of my favorite bands. I love this song and I love this cover 😊🤘
I just like his voice and this song is not easy to sing. Not a lot of people can sing this song with control and to play the instruments as is also has its merits.
It is the electric guitar sound that is unique. We’ve seen Jonny use piano or even a set of bells common to any high school band. So I’d say this is a group of five that blends really well for a great cover. Mathematical terms creative.
I am very glad the guy who sings the "let me outta here" part does not have a hint of the pain Thom Yorke has on the original recording. Not being sarcastic.
As someone who likes Faithful covers over people who try and put their own spin on it, this is a great job. I'm shocked that Young The Giant tackled it.
I love this. Dude almost sounds like if David Bowie did a Radiohead cover. I wanna hear Bowie sing this now , damnit ! I’m gonna do my best impression and cover it just to scratch that itch 😅 👏
I mean, Radiohead fans are basically jerks, so I don't mind what they say. I would be surprised if they could really pull off a genuine positive comment on any cover of Radiohead tho.
@@MrShahid0072😭 they are easily my 2 favorite bands but ik YTGs favorite band is Radiohead and they say they never went up to Radiohead at the festivals because they were scared of Thom!!!

This is the most faithful cover of No Surprises because there are no surprises.

No idea why this comment didn’t go viral but I guess it doesn’t surprise me

So true
It's blasphemy to cover a song, change nothing and keeping it as original as possible? First you trash it then you give it compliment...

The Dog Man YOU KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS?
THE DAMN LEAD SINGER
David Cordova Santibañez bro... chill lmao wtf. the lead singer is fine.
hi
I was about to point out that the mixing is kinda horrendous...
@@davidthomas961 I thought the singer was the most original/best part. No need to mimic Yorke's voice, and he adds the band signature flair to it.
I like that they sang their cover just like the original. I've always felt that a cover should sound as close to the original anyways.
Such a great voice. I was hooked in the first 30 seconds, keep doing the great work guys

When your favorite band covers your favorite other band's song
waitt.....
His tone and use of dynamics are just awesome. Very simple and very beautiful
Thumb up for these gentlemen
Such a beautiful composition.. Oh man I feel so alive listening to this!
Favorite band and one of my favorite songs from another band. Beautiful.
you are so beautiful...
Great Cover!!! and Great Voice!!! I always liked Young The Giant, their vibe is amazing!
Great drums sound. Good cover guys.!!
I like this version of this song, because it's clear and easy to understand the lyrics. Good job!
Take me back to the night they preformed this song under the stars at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Fucking magical ❤️
So sad I wasn't there. I bet it was out of this world
It was amazing
Paulina Arce It was incredible. Red Rocks in general is always a good time, but even better when it’s with a band like them :)
Flintosh The Overseer Hands Down, one of my top favorite shows I’ve ever been to. :)
It was the most out of the world experience I have had one of my fav Radiohead songs I can’t believe how well they do it
Years ago, there was a cover compilation CD and this should've been on it
What a great voice
Listen to this with a good speaker or great headphones. Holy shit
Different guitar tone in riff, voicecolor..so beautiful cover. Breathtaking...

So well covered! Absolute best!
Young the Giant always kills it live
So beautiful
What's up with that E. Guitar's sound? It sounds so dreamy and soothing! Love it!
I think he's using chorus
A very aggressive chorus, slight background delay plus a very subtle reverb. Probably a compressor aswell for the smoothness of the overall sound.
Hmm... interesting. Thanks both of you; I might try this effect someday! (I dream of being a musician, so it's nice learning techniques.)
Is to much chorus.
It's called reverb and flanger
A pretty straight cover, which I usually don't like but then again, it is absolutely beautiful and reverential.
As someone who likes Faithful covers over people who try and put their own spin on it, this is a great job. I'm shocked that Young The Giant tackled it.
So fucking beautiful my brothers ....straight to core chilling all the way
I hate the fact that people will always compare to the original's. This is an absolute amazing cover.
I come here almost every month just to feel sane.
I am back.

Fantastic cover!
Young the giant wt the beautiful band and great voice
Awesome! Great work all around!
One of my favorites covering my favorite.
Waited for the drummer to go off in a solo tangent, as the band wanted to isolate him
sometimes its hard to keep the simple stuff simple. good job
love this cover
Sweet guitar!!!! Bloody hell!!!
so clean
Great cover. Love the guitar sound and the slightly different vocal phrasing. Love it but it could have done with nice harmonies

so so good. One of their best chuuuuuunes. Radiohead cover of "Everything in its Right Place" on this page :)

Thy could also do the doors extreamly well!
Maybe the vocalist could do a good Jim but I feel like they don’t have the fiery sort of energy for Doors covers. Not saying that in a bad way either.

Listen to Young The Giant’s first album. They definitely have the energy
