What i like the best is that you point out all the surroundings and lay of the land. Other shows dont do this well or at all. What it does is helps make me feel like i am in the tree nearby. Much better viewing experience! I often hear the clicks the camera attachments make and were surprised that more deer havent heard what the Doe heard today.

Hey how’s Rick like his EZ V sight? I switched to it and love it. Can see so much better in low light especially with my old eyes, plus no target panic
"Where the heck did they come from" is exactly why I do not hunt until mid October at the earliest. Time you see them they are in range and you have no time to even get the bow up let alone draw without them seeing or hearing it. My guess is most others do the same from you saying the parking lots were empty.
Dan, that look on your face when that small "roadside" buck came by your stand was just like a little kids smile of excitement. One thing different is not to many kids would pass him up, especially during archery season. I liked that spot. Good luck Dan. The State of California and all the US lands ie Forest Service, BLM ect closed on opening day due to fire. There is plenty of Public Forest lands, wilderness areas still unaffected buy fire that could have remained open. These are our lands with our tax dollars paying them to manage our lands, and all I see is "No Management". No fuel reduction work or plan in the works but they will post every road with signs. I see spoiled agencies being lazy instead of doing their jobs. Working for us?, Doubtful,(themselves)they spend every dime ignoring the problem while waiting so they can fight something they failed to manage. The State wont refund any Tags. They could care less as far as I can tell. Something really needs to be done. All the old school Biologists, Foresters and Rangers are retired. Who hired the ones we have now who cant see what they haven't done (failed to do). Failed me and you.

Dan I think your awesome brother I'm a 2 time combat veteran only been bow hunting for a couple years and have learned a ton from watching and listening to you and your hunting beast partners. Someone told me about you after I tried watching Whitetail Addicts with the DaQuisto guys I can appreciate Andrea building lone wolf from scratch and his son doing work for XOP but honestly anyone could kill a giant on expensive leases in the Midwest and Wisconsin those guys are zoo hunters, you sir are the real deal and actually show people what it takes to kill world class animals on high pressured public ground. Anyway I just wanted to say thanks for showing people how it really is and the work it takes for the average bow hunter. Thanks brother happy hunting
