Darius Washington(Florida St,) Now Kyle has never placed a high priority on his offensive line to protect his QB, however, this is the Brock Regime.....and like Brady...he is ineffective unless he has an tough and very good offensive line. So, I think that Kyle will put high priority on the Offensive line. The 49ers really should not have cut Jarred Kingston. But OL, TE, RB, & WR will be a priority in the draft!!!
You can get a starter in the third round, but you get superstars (i.e. Trent Williams) in the first. Harbough/Balke teams were built inside out on both sides and they were awesome. Wish 49ers did the same with current o-line
A few things on the OL play this year: While I agree with you Matt that this unit is probably a little better than Niner fans realize in comparison to the OLs around the league, it is still a unit that gives up WAY too many pressures, and struggles to open up running lanes in the red zone. The reason Purdy's sack numbers aren't much worse is not because the line isn't as bad as other lower ranked lines, it's because he is great at navigating the pocket and escaping trouble most of the time. If it were Goff or another less mobile QB, our line would give up a lot more sacks
I think they need to address their training program and strengthen procedures, to many soft tissue injuries, you can only stretch a muscle so far before it will snap, to much weight lifting to build muscle and it is overloading the joints and tendons, just my thoughts.

What is your idea of overpaid...Bosa is arguably the best DE/ PR in the league. CMC was Offensive Player of the Year. Aiyuk got $5-6M less than the top tier of WR's. When healthy TW is still one of the top LT's in the league. Deebo's going into the final year of his contract which is nowhere near the top in the league. Hargrave was overpaid, but that contract will be revised in all likelihood.

Counting bubble teams, they're about in the middle. 9ers OL is 13th in pass blocking at 61% which is best in the division (Rams 20th, Hawks 19th, Cards 14th). Everyone talks about the Lions OL, but they're 10th in pass blocking w/ a 64% win rate & their run blocking is 16th. The Pack are good at pass blocking (7th), but bad at run blocking (20th). The Texans are 26th & 30th. The Bengals OL is 30th & 31st. Steelers 16th, 17th. Falcons 24th, 21st. Dolphins 23rd, 25th. And the difference? Bengals 31th rbwr at 68% vs Packers 20th at 71% vs Bears 6th at 73%. You do see more variance with pbwr, but losing teams are almost always playing from behind where the def. knows you have to pass & can tee off on the QB. Another thing is how long the QB holds the ball. Tua's avg time to throw is 2.3 sec. The fact that the Dolphins' OL is losing that frequently that quickly is bad... Goff is about league avg @2.69 sec. Brock holds the ball an avg of 3.01 sec. Obviously, your OL is going to look worse if the QB is not getting the ball out quickly. The 9ers OL would've taken less L's if Brock got rid of the ball as quick as Goff. That difference could be the difference between being 10th and 13th.

Bosa is a clear tier below the best DE/Edge rushers. He’s in the 4-6 range at DE. Not bad and I wouldn’t argue he’s overpaid IMO.
