- Hello!!!!! This video is proof....when my phone rings... I answer! 7PM JEWELRY RUN!!!!! A dealer friend of mine referred me to a WONDERFUL FAMILY selling jewelry that was passed down to them. The family had already kept the pieces and heirlooms and allowed me to purchase the rest...I'm delighted.... 14k gold, gemstones, diamonds, sterling silver, Sajen, antique cameo and nice costume! There has just been so much claim on my time between government and accountant, and banks, having my fridge and stove go belly up, arranging Richard’s funeral for the 22nd, and getting ready for my two Brothers to arrive on the 19th for a week. By the time a day is done I am ready for sleep. It will take me some time to catch up, and I miss my small pleasures of watching my favourite channels on TH-cam. OMG This video was so exciting for me! I really love seeing someone's collection unboxed, when someone's entire life collection has been purchased & getting to see it all kept together in one place. I already know that it's going to be broken up and sold into a million different directions and I'm okay with that but I just want to see it before it happens LOL is that weird? I'm Scottish, born from the Isle of Mull so this was fantastic seeing her box of pride in her heritage ♥️ hopefully I'll buy a piece when it comes up for sale.

Jason what a lovely storytelling of this woman's life! I share her heritage .Celtic jewelry has its own story to tell with symbolism, hidden and even mythical meanings. My grandmother had a very large brooch similar to the 2 in the box that she wore on shawls or cloaks. Love love love the acrylic, Pearl and sparkly brooch. Celtic snowflake? Enjoy your folks and your day off. Now I have ants in my pants and need to treasure hunt.

When you said that the more time you spend with someone’s collection, the more you feel like you know them, it really resonated with me. I was never very interested in antiques and vintage things until more recently, I only started diving into the world of it when looking for trays and dishes to display my crystal collection on. But then last summer in July my maternal great grandmother passed at age 96, and my paternal grandmother passed at 91 in August as well. Through the grieving process the feeling like I never had enough time with them really hit me. That was until I was assigned the job first with my great grandmother’s estate of helping to go through everything. My mom’s side of the family is very small, Grandma Bea only had one child, my grandma, and she only had one child, my mom, so with the two of them and myself and my brother, it’s just us that were left to handle it. Bea was born in 1926 and grew up during the Depression, and the ideals shaped from that experience were extremely apparent in her home. None of us expected to find all that we did. She had labeled boxes of costume brooches pinned in rows into a table place mat in boxes in her hobby room, saying where and when each piece was purchased. She kept every receipt for everything she bought, house in flawless condition frozen in the 1960s. I could go on and on but I wanted to say that after seeing and getting to spend so much time with her belongings she left behind, I feel like I know her better than I ever did in life. We were very close as it was, I saw her last in June of last year.
Then after gaining some understanding of the market for resale of vintage and antiques from her estate, my dad (who’s in charge of his parents’ estate and going through the probate court etc) asked me to help do the same for his mom, Betty’s house. She had 11 kids, my dad the second youngest, and when she passed she had 20 grandchildren, oldest being 51 and youngest being 9, with me right in the middle at 22 years old. Her first great great grandchild (born to the oldest great grandchild, who’s older than I am) was born the day before Grandma Betty’s birthday this year as well, so it’s a huge family. The honor of being chosen to be the one that gets to help find the special things to help with this is the most fulfilling experience of my life. I feel so honored beyond words, and because I have learned enough through your videos and through months of trial and error with grandma Bea’s things, I was able to immediately pick out jewelry from my grandma Betty’s boxes that ended up including solid 14kt white gold chains and the most gorgeous cross shaped pendant, 14kt gold with something like 16 natural diamonds in it. And an art noveau era gold griffin hat pin!! It’s gorgeous.
This was a lot of words and I apologize for that but truly your videos have made a major difference in how I view this stuff for identification, and it resonated with me so deeply to hear you say that about this lovely lady’s collection. Thanks for doing this :’)

Hello Amazing Jason! Finally my Britishness can help! The heart with a crown is the scottish "Luckenbooth Heart", strongly associated with Mary Queen of Scots but actually relates to the Luckenbooth permanent shops and gold smiths from 15th century. The cut out coins are pre 2017 British pound coins, not gold unfortunately. They can be bought as tourist items. The Leek in the Crown is Welsh pound coin. The large round brooch with the motto and hand is a clan brooch for the surname. "Glory is the reward of valour". Finally, the Scottish, "celtic" is pronounced "seltic" if it concerns football!
