    Interviews are like dates. They like you if they like you. Most of my managers picked me for personality, the resume was secondary. And no one---that's right, NO ONE--cared that I had a degree or great GPA.

    • @chirciusimona4315
      @chirciusimona4315 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      True, they pick personality and after resume.

      The resume and degree gets you the date, the personality gets the 2nd date

      GPA no. But Degree absolutely makes a difference.

    The "why we should hire you" question is redundant,I'm here to work my ass off so I can support my very expensive addiction to air and life,and we both know there's a million other desperate people wanting to get in,
    I'm not here to sell myself like a used car,I'm here for a job interview,not a fucking garage sale.
    The video is great,but that one question always seems impossible to answer,
    *Uuh..I like moneh,that's why you should hire me*

    • @IwasUnknownUser
      @IwasUnknownUser 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      most interview questions are futile and redundant
      maybe there are just so many candidates they can choose
      i don't think she can get a job as applicant
      and most people working in the companies actually are the same
      they are just lucky to get the job

    Very informative but I take issue with her saying that it's less common for people to go into HR later in career. Experience in various areas of business and knowledge gained from course work provides a great pathway for pivoting into HR.

    I had 1:1 interviews with 2 VPs and on 1 senior manager on 29th oct, this was the last email from HR when I asked for the feedback:
    "Thank you for reaching out! I apologize for not getting back to you sooner.
    I met with the team yesterday to gather feedback and they had positive things to share. They thought your meetings went very well and were impressed by your strong automation knowledge. The team is still in the process of wrapping up interviews, however I did want to let you know that you are still highly considered for the role.
    After all interviews have been held, the team will debrief to determine next steps. I will keep you updated throughout the process, but please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like an update.
    Thank you again for your time. It’s been a pleasure getting to know you better!"
    not sure, what does that mean, and how should I reply or loose my hope on this? I really liked the opportunity and doesn't want to sound too desperate. Please suggest. thanks
