This reminds me of when we were kids in the 1960's. Our uncle, who was in the military (and a WW2 vet) gave us some WW2 equipment like this and we were the envy of the neighborhood. We would watch Combat on TV and play 'Army' with the gear.
4:25 That's an M1 helmet with ear protectors so that a gunner or fire director can wear ear phones to communicate. Usually used by gunners in bombers, on ships, and antiaircraft artillery.
That one item with a waterproof interior appears to be a portable sink. I have a canvas one that can hold water for weeks. I still use a canvas sink in my earthquake kit my dad brought in 1950.
Hey, I have purchased multiple items from 1944 Militaria in the past and I was wondering if there was a building that you can go inside to make purchases. Or probably (more realisticly) Just a small private building that you ship from there.
I have a US life preserver belt the same type as was issued to troops on landing craft However it is a dark green colour not the tan colour usually seen in photos There is no date on the item just marked US Can you help to identify the belt is it perhaps a post ww2 item Thank you for your help
