Plus, this new trap and the continuous spell Freezing Chains will give the right protection for the Ice Barriers to play. It is actually pretty decent...
Also warlock of the ice barrier is an anti-spell fragrance, while revealer of the ice barrier (aka your normal summon) makes tribute decks like floow unplayable.

The new trap's cost of having to reveal 3 "Ice Barrier" monsters with different names from the Extra deck or this card will self destruct is such an interesting cost: it in a way, balances out archetypes, so you can't play just one or two cards of those archetype in a busted combo deck, all while not being too strict of a cost (because revealing three individual cards isn't really a cost in most cases). I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more similar cost related effects like that in the near future 😮 Great video, btw. Excited about the Synchro
This deck has one card combos now. You can use Revealer to summon Mirror for 3 tokens, synchro into coral dragon, and then Mirror can search Winds over the Ice Barrier to tribute the remaining tokens to summon 2 ice barriers from deck.
But what do you summon from deck? They have to be level 4 or lower. The only good option is something like Spellbreaker to prevent the opponent using any spells on their or your next turn.
I don't even know how to react to this. These cards so good that you have to start thinking komoney makes other decks bad on purpose. Like each card does exactly what the decks need, and in the best way. Can't wait to see what they do with dragunity.
These cards easily bring ice barriers to rogue, high rogue tbh. This deck when set up flat out wins duels unless you play kaiju and dark ruler. Wait until people try it out in EDO. To be fair they deserved the support though, they been made fun of for so long but now actually feels like a strong control deck.
I'm not sure. Ice Barriers prior to this were just that bad they probably wouldn't have been competitive even back at the start of the synchro era. These cards are insane, but a deck with like 12 good cards + handtraps is still a deck with almost 20 dead/shit cards.

Basically Ice Barriers need more. If you get a hand with all of these cards then sure, you’re slamming. But if you don’t, you’re just bricking. Every. Game.
Interesting to see Gishki Vanity and Mist Valley Falcon as Ice Barrier monsters. The new support is really solid. I hope to see Avance and Emilia someday as Ice Barriers.
These cards are insane and I love them. The synchro is crazy, Georgius is a great special summon with great effects, Mirror Magic can grab Medallion when it goes to the grave, and Domains puts a card on the bottom of the deck?! I'm so happy Konami gave them these cards because the archetype really needed this level of power.
NUTS support. There's so many powerful floodgate cards you can summon off Lancea. Also, Lancea is immediately seeing play in Swordsoul, as it can be made with Longyuan. Then you just summon Raiho and Spellbreaker from Deck in the opponent's turn, limiting them to 1 spell/trap, and discard to activate monster effects. And Trishula in the Extra Deck for when Lancea leaves the field to banish 1 from hand, field and GY.
Two things I figured out about about Mirror Magic Master are that: first you can send it with Swap Frog and then add Freezing Chains to reborn it and make Toad and second this card + any Effect Monster can summon a Graydle Dragon that can pop 4 cards
it feels like this is the next evolution of support cards. all 4 cards are so broken and ive never seen a balancing effect of revealing Extra deck monsters otherwise destroy this card. also leaving the field because of your oppenent or place one card on the field in to deck are such weird but powerful effects, also the infernoid cards are broken as well Oo

I am happy to have a new boss that pulls cards from anywhere to deal with opponents stuff. Ironically icejade does all the work at getting to level 10 so it's literally just scoop and score.
It's the fact people call this archetype boring... with all the stuff out there that COMPLETELY denies all interaction, this is all avoidable and negatable but it's strong enough prevent complete denial.

and yes, you can Kaiju the new ice barrier and it will still trigger its effect, cause Kaiju is still an opponents monster summoned on your side of the field.
i could be wrong but with the trap and the new synchro, when your opponent special summons a monster, you can chain link 1 the trap, chain link 2 the synchro, summon a random ice barrier maybe for follow up and the return that monster summoned to the hand to get rid of the summoned monster. would be cool if there was an ice barrier hand trap to bounce that back to your hand with the trap for more interruption.
It sounds ridiculous but I think I'd consider playing the Ice Barrier battle trap over the new trap. The GY effect is a foolish for a level 5 or higher water monster then a monster reincarnation for any water monster which would really help maintain advantage if the game goes longer and could help you splash in other engines, most of the powerful Ice Barrier floodgates are on small bodies so protecting your cards from being run over is actually relevant, and the new trap's effect bouncing your own Ice Barrier monsters is pretty bad anti synergy with the deck because all of the floodgate effects require multiple Ice Barrier monsters on the field. The new Synchro not being an Ice Barrier makes the trap worse too as it doesn't protect it's special summon. The new trap is powerful protection but I don't think it advances your win con or makes your endboard all that much harder to break.
Ice Barriers 🧊 These new cards skate. Weird thought, Ice Barriers were the 1st place voted support for structure deck just before Cyber Dragons received Cyberdark support. Wondering if Konami has more tech in the repair plant. These new Ice Barriers are next level.
I feel like this is going to be tier 0 support, not that ice barriers by itself will become tier 0, but that it will be an engine used in some tier 0 deck in the not distant future, by the fact that it gives ice barrier monsters a lot more teeth, without any kind of lock, doesn't even lock you into ice barrier monsters or negate effects of your summons anywhere 👀

@@JustNutzProd So what you are saying is the level 10 synchro monster can only special a Ice barrier but will not have any synergy with the ice barrier monsters, spell and traps. For example the new trap protects your ice barrier monsters from ash blossom. You make the level 10 synchro monster then flip the continuous trap card. Your oppent specials summons, then you chain the level 10 synchro monster and your opponent responds with ash blossom. If so then the power level of ice barriers will lower a lot more because all the level four and lower monsters will not even get there effects off because you need an "Ice Barrier" monster.
As I read these cards I literally kept saying "WHAT?!" out loud with every effect. You dont even understand... I think everyone forgot they have a NON-OPT rota. Literally old school 1 line of text. From the structure, they have a monster who foolishes and a monster who brings tuners out of the deck. Combined with the Icejade stuff (who also have a non-opt rota!!) this is legitimately a deck now!

Make Ice Barrier great again!...for the ??th time again. Jokes aside Lancea is a strong card, able to summon ED monster twice is no joke until you realize what you can only summon during your opponents turn for disruption when they or you summon an ED Monster. Brionac? Bruh, no quick effect. Dewloren? No quick effect. Gungnir? No quick effect. Trishula? Have to be Synchro summoned and the retrain needs to be Synchro summoned for its floating effect. The fusion also doesnt have any effectd if its not summoned properly if it can be summoned using Lancea at all. The only good thing to summon was the Brionac Retrain which can bounce a card. The strong effect this card has is its Synchro floating effect which makes Trishula banish really good punishing your opponents. Making this card having the ability to either floodgate your opponent with Main Deck Monsters, Break opponents board if they summon on your turn with the other Ice Barrier cards and can float to Trish making this an excellent support. Main Deck Ice Barriers. Magic Master is a combo starter that puts 3 Level 1 tokens as well as making it Level 5 for locking you to Water Synchros. Seems familiar? Yes, White Aura support time. And this time they can swarm better than Ghoti and Sharks but sacrifices for having no access to Xyz Monsters. The fact that it also searches any Ice Barrier is just really strong for the archtype. Making it a must have. Gergious is an extender but mostly useful as a floodgate to deny GY plays from your opponent. Another Konami classic of making a floodgate to make a deck relevant. Can summon itself and 1 other is a good extender but also can help prevent GY shenanigans like Tear. Frozen Domain prevents your opponent from responding to Ice Barrier Monster effects meaning cards like Draco Future and Appo cant respond to this. It also has a strong bounce effect when an ED monster is summoned in exhange for returning an Ice Barrier monster. This can recur cards like Trishula or Giorgios for plays in the next turn making this card an excellent grind game. The downside of the Trap really dont matter when your running Ice Barrier ED's as well as the ability to recur them from the field. Overall all solid support.
The new Brionac sadly isn't an Ice Barrier by name. Yeah it is really strange that it can summon from the ED when that is pretty useless at the moment. They should give them a Synchro that sends a card your opponent controls to the GY when summoned, with the ability to summon a Token and then Quick Synchro. So you could summon that Tuner first for the send, another Ice Barrier for the Floodgate effect second and in the end activate the effect of the Tuner to summon a Token and Quick Synchro into one of the Trishs.
It's more a tech play that a real play, but is still a possibility... Lancea can set more easy the condiction of Terror of Trishula summoninig more Synchro monsters, no? Also it can trigger the effect of the ice barrier trap without waiting that the opponent touch the own extra deck
It's funny people love the support but hate the deck by calling it weak even whenever we get this new support. Also funny when people aren't calling it weak they are mad that they are being maximized to do what they do best which is floodgate. My question is isn't most rogue or top decks built to either stop your opponent from playing and by constantly responding during your opponent's turn anyways?
With all this new support for either ice barriers or the ice dragons even for one copy per card! Konami and the people in charge of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s rule changes need to update the extra deck from 15 card space to 20 Max so it will be cool and epic + 5 extra card space is not much to ask after all, they finally gave us the ability to allow both players to play a field spell Back in 2014! Almost 10 years ago!
Not to mention a bunch of other decks need the five extra card space for 20 Extra deck Max! Like Playmaker’s Cyberse, The Salamangreats, The Signer’s respected decks, Heroes, Numbers, Pendulums or 4 Dimensional dragons, Yugi’s Decks, the legendary dragons of Claw/Fang/Eye, Goyo synchros, Vampires, SuperHeavy Samurai, the four dimensional Girlfriend’s Decks, All of Sylvio Sawatari’s Decks, Gladiator beast, The D/D/D & D/D, The Flower Cardians, All of Blue Angels decks, all of the Gord’s decks, Ancient Gears, Cyber Dragons and Dark cyber Dragons, Revolver’s Deck, AI’s Deck and Joey wheeler’s, Seto Kaiba’s, Mai Valentine’s Respective Decks Too! Would benefit from the 20 Max extra deck also 20 cards max for the side deck but you’re only going to use that during the official tournaments because you can’t carry around a Big old binder or storage box!
Can someone please tell me why ice barriers are getting the most supporting archetype in the duel terminal world. What have the ice barriers got that the other archetypes don't. But don't get me wrong I do love the support I just think that there getting too much of it compared to the others. An example is jurrac they barley get any support. I really think they all the duel terminal archetypes deserve support good or bad I don't care.
Two things. 1. They were the main antagonists in Duel Terminal and deserve good support. 2. They were the most shit on deck, even after support released in their structure deck. Now it's their time to shine.
Terrible card design and game management. No one likes flood gates or hand looping so why keep power creeping a deck that does nothing but those things? And I hate when Konami makes a bunch of the most heinous effects they've ever printed, thinks it's fine because "like, the deck is bad, so it's fine," and puts several of them on a single card rather than spread them out. Equally not a fan of insane punishment effects against your opponent that can't be stopped and are triggered by your opponent agreeing to sit across the table from you. It's bs. "Don't out my stupid boss monster that I spent 1 card on to make, lose the game. Do something about it, I get to replace it with another big chungus and banish 3 of your cards. Also everything is unrespondable and you are floodgate lcoked." And then Konami's like, "Where money? Why we no can get new players?"

Yeah. Kaiju effect isnt an effect but a summoning condition which can trigger the effect since it only says "Opponent" meaning any action.

I think the new trap can trigger its effect from both effects of the synchro, so you can activate the “place” effect 2/3 times with it

The GY effect is a foolish for a level 5 or higher water monster then a monster reincarnation for any water monster which would really help maintain advantage if the game goes longer and could help you splash in other engines, most of the powerful Ice Barrier floodgates are on small bodies so protecting your cards from being run over is actually relevant, and the new trap's effect bouncing your own Ice Barrier monsters is pretty bad anti synergy with the deck because all of the floodgate effects require multiple Ice Barrier monsters on the field. The new Synchro not being an Ice Barrier makes the trap worse too as it doesn't protect it's special summon. The new trap is powerful protection but I don't think it advances your win con or makes your endboard all that much harder to break.

I feel like this is going to be tier 0 support, not that ice barriers by itself will become tier 0, but that it will be an engine used in some tier 0 deck in the not distant future, by the fact that it gives ice barrier monsters a lot more teeth, without any kind of lock, doesn't even lock you into ice barrier monsters or negate effects of your summons anywhere 👀

Question can you bring out the new level 10 using its own effect? Just read it and said that you can special summon from extra deck one "Ice Barrier" monster.

@@JustNutzProd So what you are saying is the level 10 synchro monster can only special a Ice barrier but will not have any synergy with the ice barrier monsters, spell and traps.
For example the new trap protects your ice barrier monsters from ash blossom. You make the level 10 synchro monster then flip the continuous trap card. Your oppent specials summons, then you chain the level 10 synchro monster and your opponent responds with ash blossom. If so then the power level of ice barriers will lower a lot more because all the level four and lower monsters will not even get there effects off because you need an "Ice Barrier" monster.

As I read these cards I literally kept saying "WHAT?!" out loud with every effect. You dont even understand... I think everyone forgot they have a NON-OPT rota. Literally old school 1 line of text. From the structure, they have a monster who foolishes and a monster who brings tuners out of the deck. Combined with the Icejade stuff (who also have a non-opt rota!!) this is legitimately a deck now!

Jokes aside Lancea is a strong card, able to summon ED monster twice is no joke until you realize what you can only summon during your opponents turn for disruption when they or you summon an ED Monster.
Brionac? Bruh, no quick effect.
Dewloren? No quick effect.
Gungnir? No quick effect.
Trishula? Have to be Synchro summoned and the retrain needs to be Synchro summoned for its floating effect. The fusion also doesnt have any effectd if its not summoned properly if it can be summoned using Lancea at all.
The only good thing to summon was the Brionac Retrain which can bounce a card. The strong effect this card has is its Synchro floating effect which makes Trishula banish really good punishing your opponents.
Making this card having the ability to either floodgate your opponent with Main Deck Monsters, Break opponents board if they summon on your turn with the other Ice Barrier cards and can float to Trish making this an excellent support.
Main Deck Ice Barriers.
Magic Master is a combo starter that puts 3 Level 1 tokens as well as making it Level 5 for locking you to Water Synchros. Seems familiar? Yes, White Aura support time. And this time they can swarm better than Ghoti and Sharks but sacrifices for having no access to Xyz Monsters. The fact that it also searches any Ice Barrier is just really strong for the archtype. Making it a must have.
Gergious is an extender but mostly useful as a floodgate to deny GY plays from your opponent. Another Konami classic of making a floodgate to make a deck relevant. Can summon itself and 1 other is a good extender but also can help prevent GY shenanigans like Tear.
Frozen Domain prevents your opponent from responding to Ice Barrier Monster effects meaning cards like Draco Future and Appo cant respond to this. It also has a strong bounce effect when an ED monster is summoned in exhange for returning an Ice Barrier monster. This can recur cards like Trishula or Giorgios for plays in the next turn making this card an excellent grind game. The downside of the Trap really dont matter when your running Ice Barrier ED's as well as the ability to recur them from the field.
Overall all solid support.
The new Brionac sadly isn't an Ice Barrier by name. Yeah it is really strange that it can summon from the ED when that is pretty useless at the moment. They should give them a Synchro that sends a card your opponent controls to the GY when summoned, with the ability to summon a Token and then Quick Synchro. So you could summon that Tuner first for the send, another Ice Barrier for the Floodgate effect second and in the end activate the effect of the Tuner to summon a Token and Quick Synchro into one of the Trishs.
It's more a tech play that a real play, but is still a possibility... Lancea can set more easy the condiction of Terror of Trishula summoninig more Synchro monsters, no? Also it can trigger the effect of the ice barrier trap without waiting that the opponent touch the own extra deck

It's funny people love the support but hate the deck by calling it weak even whenever we get this new support. Also funny when people aren't calling it weak they are mad that they are being maximized to do what they do best which is floodgate. My question is isn't most rogue or top decks built to either stop your opponent from playing and by constantly responding during your opponent's turn anyways?
With all this new support for either ice barriers or the ice dragons even for one copy per card! Konami and the people in charge of Yu-Gi-Oh!’s rule changes need to update the extra deck from 15 card space to 20 Max so it will be cool and epic + 5 extra card space is not much to ask after all, they finally gave us the ability to allow both players to play a field spell Back in 2014! Almost 10 years ago!
Not to mention a bunch of other decks need the five extra card space for 20 Extra deck Max! Like Playmaker’s Cyberse, The Salamangreats, The Signer’s respected decks, Heroes, Numbers, Pendulums or 4 Dimensional dragons, Yugi’s Decks, the legendary dragons of Claw/Fang/Eye, Goyo synchros, Vampires, SuperHeavy Samurai, the four dimensional Girlfriend’s Decks, All of Sylvio Sawatari’s Decks, Gladiator beast, The D/D/D & D/D, The Flower Cardians, All of Blue Angels decks, all of the Gord’s decks, Ancient Gears, Cyber Dragons and Dark cyber Dragons, Revolver’s Deck, AI’s Deck and Joey wheeler’s, Seto Kaiba’s, Mai Valentine’s Respective Decks Too! Would benefit from the 20 Max extra deck also 20 cards max for the side deck but you’re only going to use that during the official tournaments because you can’t carry around a Big old binder or storage box!
It's very strong for other decks that don't have issues on ED space. Not to mention the pot cards.

Can someone please tell me why ice barriers are getting the most supporting archetype in the duel terminal world. What have the ice barriers got that the other archetypes don't. But don't get me wrong I do love the support I just think that there getting too much of it compared to the others. An example is jurrac they barley get any support. I really think they all the duel terminal archetypes deserve support good or bad I don't care.
Two things. 1. They were the main antagonists in Duel Terminal and deserve good support. 2. They were the most shit on deck, even after support released in their structure deck. Now it's their time to shine.

Terrible card design and game management. No one likes flood gates or hand looping so why keep power creeping a deck that does nothing but those things? And I hate when Konami makes a bunch of the most heinous effects they've ever printed, thinks it's fine because "like, the deck is bad, so it's fine," and puts several of them on a single card rather than spread them out. Equally not a fan of insane punishment effects against your opponent that can't be stopped and are triggered by your opponent agreeing to sit across the table from you. It's bs. "Don't out my stupid boss monster that I spent 1 card on to make, lose the game. Do something about it, I get to replace it with another big chungus and banish 3 of your cards. Also everything is unrespondable and you are floodgate lcoked." And then Konami's like, "Where money? Why we no can get new players?"
