Bruh I remember watching these videos over and over again cause I found them so entertaining 8 years ago when me and my mom were struggling financially
@@superstarchris3925 for the 20th anniversary of pr back in like 2013 Bandai made a legacy line of toys which were recreations of old power rangers toys like the dino Megazord, dragonzord, white tigerzord, ninja Megazord, the falcon zord, and the Morphers and the dragon dagger, etc
Oh man, do I love coming back and watching these videos from time to time. So nostalgic. When I was a kid, I had a really weird collection of the Thunderzords - I had the Deluxe Tor (the only version as far as I knew then), I had an incomplete Deluxe Tigerzord that I'd traded from a friend, and I had this weird 'cheat' Mega Tigerzord where the Lion Thunderzord was pre-sculpted onto Tigerzord (which was stuck in MT mode), the Firebird was dummy'd up into its gauntlet mode, and the Unicorn and Griffin could still separate and operate on their own. Craziest part about it is that Tor was either my first or second favorite Zord ever made (second only to/closely followed by the Dragonzord) - and yet it was a part of what was probably my very least favorite season of Zords outside of Turbo (and easily the WORST Ultrazord formation of all time). Just never liked the Thunderzords much - especially the toys. Wasn't thrilled with either Megazord of the season and, in fact, I thought Mega Tigerzord was ugly as sin LOL. I did, however, LOVE Tor. I don't know what it was about him, but I thought he was awesome. I definitely thought he was grievously wasted on his own season. So much wasted potential with a Zord as tactical and powerful as Tor was.
I remember actually HAVING the Thunder Megazord set but not the other ones. Honestly, I loved the Thunder Ultrazord's finisher; to this day, its ability to crush its enemies still one of the most unique and unconventional finishers in the history of the PR franchise.
35:10 - Yeah, since Beetleborgs was discontinued after they got control over all the weapons and everything in the second season (not like the villains could do much anymore), the costumes were recycled for that one episode. It was more than the villains of Beetleborgs, though, because they used the green outfit for one of the heroes as one of the villains in Forever Red.
+CalamitasDeus actually Beetleborgs suits were recycled a lot more often than that Forever Red was just the only major instance of it being so obvious due to them using Shadow Borg as Venjix, the Green Hunter Beetleborg as Gerrok, Dragonborg (minus the antennae-like things) as Steelon, Ladyborg as Tezzla and of course the last one was mostly Lightningborg but without his head since he had Fireborg's head. Beetleborgs suits were seen in scenes such as Countdown to Destruction and also during Onyx scenes... additionally 1 was reused for a Mut-Org piece and they ended up using another suit for a monster in S.P.D.
Wow, so much nostalgia. I had all the S2 Zords, though finding Serpentera was a bitch. I must have dragged my parents through dozens of toy shops (they're awesome for putting up with me). Ended up becoming my favourite one despite the toy not doing much. If I recall right, first time it appeared, it was actually pretty badass. Gave Tor a good beating, then destroyed a whole city and/or planet on its own. Only after that it was demoted to just flying about menacingly.
+Neakal it was the Deserted Planet that it had destroyed, the Rangers went there to get the Sword of Light for the purpose of transferring powers from Zack, Trini and Jason to Adam, Aisha and Rocky.
I freakin love the thunder zords XD i was in hospital for that entire series when i was a little kid, kept me sane and happy XD best year of my life XD
Nice vid. You explained everything very well to great detail! It really brought back some nice memories from my childhood. I had all of these toys except for serpentera which I do not remember. Grtz from Belgium!
Power rangers really should have tried to use the backstory from Dairangers to actually make sense of tor and Serpentera. Serpentera aka Daijinnryuu (great dragon god) was an enormous neutral god that appeared when the balance between good and evil was out of control. Tor aka Daimugen was actually a Kiden beast from 6000 years ago that helped the ancient dairangers against Daijinnryuu and hid in a human form until present day.
+Andy Perry I agree with some of that but they probably didn't want to use all of that. I personally would've kept the part with Serpentera being a neutral God though.
I remember having the Thunderzord Assault team when I was a kid. My mom wouldn't buy me the red dragon zord for some reason so I could never complete the transformation. :(
I love your old videos they have that original TH-cam feel. I have watched these MMPR zord videos a few times over. My question is any plans on reshooting these videos? i think it would be neat 2009 was a while ago
I've thought about it off and on, but I'm not sure if it'd ever happen. There are aspects I left out during some of these (Titanus' sleds for instance) and as you said these do have that "original" TH-cam feel, but who knows!

Oh, my god, THANK YOU!!! For saying the name "BeetleBorgs"! I have been thinking about that show for literally a decade and I never relearned it's name until I watched this video!! I came here for a review and I got it and more!! Thank you again!
First off. Me and you would get along famously with your sense of humor and mine being so similar. To clarify a few things; yes the fire bird's feet came with the tigerzord and also the tigerzord in warrior mode fit inside Tor wonderfully. That aside, I loved the review. I have pictures of me as a 7yro on Christmas morning with a powerrangers sleeping bag in powerrangers pjs and the whole Thunder Megazord, fully decked out in stickers by my mother the night before. I later got the Tigerzord for my 8th bday on 2/7 and bought Tor for 40$ after saving my allowance for 2 months, which as I'm sure you remember, was hard to do with toys and everything everywhere. They remain the only full set of zords I own. I idolized Tommy as a kid. (Finally met the actor at an anime con in 09, on my bday no less!). Lots of fond memories with those toys. Still have em all in the garage.
Fun fact: Red Dragon Thunderzord warrior mode was modeled after a mythological deity called Sun Wukong. Thunder Megazord is modeled after ancient Ming Dynasty Warrior. Fun fact, these zords and the white ranger actually belonged to another PR series, called Aura Rangers in Japan, but it was never made in the US version and they for some reason just added these zords into the Might Morphing franchise
The blue megazord is actually a pegasus n the yellow megazord is actually a kirin... if u dont know what a kirin is, is basically a chinese mythological creature that is half dragon and half horse
+JTMitchell87 Yeah, in my opinion, megaforce was the worst season of all time. The only thing making Super Megaforce slightly better is that it was an anniversary season. Megaforce essentially tried to copy Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, with Gosei, a head of a mentor who claimed to be a student of Zordon, a robotic-aid who's goofy, accident-prone, and uses out-of-date slang, a calm and cool red ranger who knows karate, a people's-person black ranger, a smart and nerdy blue ranger, a cool and pretty but smart yellow ranger, and a fun-loving, pretty, pink ranger. Plus, their hangout was ERNIE'S FROYO!
I envy you for having these toys in such great shape! I have all of these, and mine have been destroyed, to a degree, by a little kid (me) who wanted them to look like the zords on the show as much as possible, and by a little ankle-bitter dog that HAD to chew up everything it could get its mouth on. So yeah, now mine are worth nothing. Just chewed up memories of childhood. :-/
Sometimes I imagine what it would be like if they released a scale-replica of a Legacy Serpentera. You know that episode where Tor was literally in the paw of Serpentera as he was crushing him? We're talking a 10 ft tall toy here haha.
This almost has everything I want in a toy review good quality all around but a lack of swivel jokes also stickers!!!!!!!!!!! No paint no water slides this is madness!!!!!!!!!!!! #swivelhere
This might be just me, but I think it would've been nice see Serpentara combine with the other the other ThunderZords letting Zedd taking control of them... it would've been a nice touch if you ask me.
I don't know that the other zords would have fit on serpentera in any way that didn't involve just attaching to the side. Lest we forget that Tor itself was just barely smaller than one of serpentera's feet and that sumbitch housed the tigerzord.
I loved the original Megazord for having a simplistic design, but I always loved the Thunderzords for being a bit more badass. Especially the Red Dragon Thunderzord. I love how it moved like an actual Japanese Dragon and was still able to transform into a pretty awesome Zord by itself. Though one thing I never got was, why does Zedd just leave Serpentera sitting there when it had the capability to destroy PLANETS!!
All these lucky guys in the comments talking about their zords growing up... I never got a single one. This series was my absolute favorite of all time. The Thunder Megazord just looks so cool and then it had the Tigerzord AND Serpentera on top of it. I STILL want these zords!
Serpentara's counterpart in Dairanger was DaiJinRyu. And it hated war, so it caused even more chaos in the process. Hippies tend to frown upon that. Anyone who hates war tends to frown upon that, especially Tor's Sentai Counterpart, who was actually a hippie.
If I remember correctly, the Machine Empire Generals didn't look like Beetle Borg enemies, they looked like the Beetle Borgs themselves. I think it's because they had the costumes lying around set and thought "Sure, they'll work". Either way, I am truly jealous of you. You have all these awesome toys that I wanted as a child, and still want. Also, your reviews are awesome.
thats exactly the toy zords i also had 2:47 ! :D funny to see them again, they were one of the coolest toys i ever seen so far until this day 2019 they still are not defeated from their coolest toys rank.............. they looked exactly like miniature versions of the real zords and the transforming and assembling was so epic :d
I remember on the show the Megazord only being the height of Serpentaras Foot! Serpentara was HUGE! I had the Serpentara toy as a kid just because Ithought it was so badass looking. The chrome chest and Chromed Gold. And it just looked sick for the time.
I threw my red dragon from the top floor of my house to make him fly. The head broke off and I asked my dad to make a whole new dragon completely out of red legos and expected it to look perfect, with the stickers and joints and everything. He tried.
I had all of these, however they all still didn't make up for missing out on Dragonzord and Titanus.... But now as an adult, I have all 3 (Mega, Dragon and Titanus) sitting in front of me now in their ultrazord mode. :) Childhood regained.
you take me back to my childhood. Never was able to get the Zords, but luckily had friends with most of em. Lol. I had forgotten Tor even existed until watching this video. Always wanted the Serpetera Zord, but only cuz it was such a huge bastard of a toy. But it didnt do much, even in the show it kept breaking down, lol. Nice review.
Ooooh white tiger Zord...I remember the Christmas I got that toy, I was seven years old. It was my favorite thing ever for like, two years. Even after the chrome paint chipped off in most places. Thanks for posting this!
Thanks to multiple viewings of this video, (as well as a replacement Red Dragon body to fix a broken arm), the Thunder Megazord I've had since 1994 finally looks right. Thanks JTMitchell87!
I had the original Thunder Zords. I remember getting upset as a kid because I was given the 4 zord set and Dragon Thunder zord separately on a birthday. The 4 zords were given first. And I was upset that I didn't get the Dragon Thunder Zord. But then was given the Dragon Thunder zord after. I never got any other Zords, but I was happy with what I got.
You are brilliant . I love mmpr . And you are very smart . I don't have any of those zords but my birthday is coming up and I will be getting all mighty morphin power rangers megazords . Good job on the redos !!!😊😊😊
As a kid, I was so dissapointed with the Thunder Megazord toy. You could barely do anything without it falling apart. The Tigerzord however was a GREAT toy.
12:53 even though this is an old video, I still have my white tiger zord. Admittedly mine is much worst for wear than yours, but the legs don't fold in that way and the feet are attached to the lower portion of the legs. Maybe they changed the design for different regions?
Lol The sound effect for Tor is actually The Cry of Anguirus from the Godzilla movies. Anyway for the transformation of the Thunder Megazord, I usually rotate the the shoulder pads of the red dragon forward so that the tops are facing me instead of the stickers. It is A subtle change but it gives him a bit more extra movement with the arms and shoulders of the Thunder Megazord
30:34 I really don't understand how power rangers writers didn't know what a ultrazord was, this is not an ultrazord, because they are not conbine they are just on top of the turtle. Nice video
I found a 100% complete Tor with working batteries at a used store and paid two bucks for him. And I later found a battered Tigerzord lying around so I have those two.
For those of you wondering WTF blue and yellow are supposed to be ... as the toys don't really portray the look of a Griffon and a Unicorn. In the original Sentai series... it's actually Blue is a Tenma... or Japanese Pegasus Yellow is a Kirin... or a Japanese Mythological monster that was INSPIRED by a Giraffe
Man I used to LOVE my Serpentara Toy!!!! He was like the most BADASS dragon I had. At least I thought so. I wonder if I sold it or it's still in my garage somewhere???
I'm going to buy the assault team only because I already have the Red Dragon but my only question is do you need Red Dragons little tail thing/loin cloth to form the thunderzord? Mine fell off years ago.

I threw my red dragon from the top floor of my house to make him fly. The head broke off and I asked my dad to make a whole new dragon completely out of red legos and expected it to look perfect, with the stickers and joints and everything. He tried.
I could probably build one for you lol
I had all of these, however they all still didn't make up for missing out on Dragonzord and Titanus.... But now as an adult, I have all 3 (Mega, Dragon and Titanus) sitting in front of me now in their ultrazord mode. :) Childhood regained.
The second video I ever watched from you. The first being season one review. Good times. Can't believe it was three years ago.
Red Dragon Thunderzord is my favorite zord of all time. I'm extremely careful handling mine, too.
you take me back to my childhood.
Mighty morphin power rangers season 2 was a very spectacular power rangers series and the thunder megazords were just super spectacular
I remember having the White Tiger Zord as the only Zord I had as a child. Buying these now might costs a lot of money.
Thanks to multiple viewings of this video, (as well as a replacement Red Dragon body to fix a broken arm), the Thunder Megazord I've had since 1994 finally looks right. Thanks JTMitchell87!
Mighty morphin power rangers season 2 will always be an outstanding power rangers series
10/10 review, I knew that your jokes would be funny from the beginning.
season 2 toys were the best in my opinion. there was just so much hype around the the lord zedd saga at that point and white ranger
As a kid, I was so dissapointed with the Thunder Megazord toy. You could barely do anything without it falling apart. The Tigerzord however was a GREAT toy.
My childhood toys :'). They would do all the movements the 'real' zords could do.
It is A subtle change but it gives him a bit more extra movement with the arms and shoulders of the Thunder Megazord
when the turtles head fell I lost it. lol that was hilarious 😂😂😂
I love how the Pink Ranger's Zord caresses the Red's nethers.
Thunder megazord is awesome and amazing and sounds great
I can tell that you had a very happy childhood!
I love the Thunder Ultrazord because of how blunt and dumb it is. Yet strangely satisfying.
The funny thing about the T under Zords is that they came with tiny Power Rangers that rode on the Zords and placed in the chest.
30:34 I really don't understand how power rangers writers didn't know what a ultrazord was, this is not an ultrazord, because they are not conbine they are just on top of the turtle. Nice video
Always wanted Tor, mainly so my TMNT figures could have a Zord of their very own.
In the original Sentai series... it's actually
Blue is a Tenma... or Japanese Pegasus
Yellow is a Kirin... or a Japanese Mythological monster that was INSPIRED by a Giraffe
what i loved was the fact that serpenterra was so large that it could step on Tor..with one foot.
it was really funny when when tor was like aaaauuuuggghhhh and he was like yes i know u dont like being touched that way
These zords are the ones I remember playing as a child. We never had Terra or Tor.
Mine fell off years ago.
had these when i was 4 for christmas. 18 yrs later... these toys are still fucking cool man !
