it's a great game, if you helped to KickStart Massive Darkness there is a Black Plague cross over pack you could have got to combine the two.

Great review, I'm glad you guys are keeping up a good form. I am a big fan of Descend: 2nd ed. and I was looking for a fully co-op game in that vein for a while. I already tried Shadows of Brimstone (great theme and RPG feeling, but a clunky mechanics) and Galaxy Defenders (pretty good, but not quite what I was looking for) and after this review I will give Zombicide: BP a try ;-)

I play solo with 4 heroes normally and house rules that friendly fire is only on to hit rolls of 1. And also every hero can have a natural dodge on hits on a roll of 6 to try balance it a little 🤣

I'm so tired of people complaining about zombie themes. People will spend their whole lives playing fantasy games and trading in the Mediterranean... but they can't have two zombie games in their collection.

I enjoy a good zombie game now and again but it's become a lazy theme at this point, like the overuse of Cthulhu. (And I'm a Lovecraftian enthusiast, so that's saying a lot.)

Agreed, the zombie trend has died down

You can be tired of it but it is what it is. I like fantasy and space stuff, so you can't give me too much of it. I'm 'meh' on Zombies so the bombardment of Zombie stuff in the last few years wears me down. I think a lot of people agree with me, hence the hate on zombie stuff.
It's ironic that you're essentially telling people you're sick and tired of them being sick and tired. It's hard to say why, but isn't that just a little hypocritical?

For me, zombies are just a minor part of fantasy theme, and the part that never was particularily interesting. It was hard for me to understand why so many people started loving zombie games all of a sudden. But my feelings are not zombie - exclusive. Same goes for other "races", like a game about 10 different types of vampires or a game about 15 different types of werewolfs would both be pretty boring to me. Give me some variety, instead of giving me small zombies, medium zombies, big zombies, tall zombies, fat zombies, two-headed zombies, four-arms zombies, slow zombies and fast zombies.

You can find hypocrisy in anything if you look hard enough, but I think it's a big stretch here. My point is that people are saying that it's over-used and I'm saying we'd need a billion more games to reach the amount that fantasy has been over-used. Trading in the Mediterranean, and others aren't far behind. They freaking went half way and threw in fantasy characters fighting zombies. A mashup of two themes, how cool is that?! No. Everyone still groans. "It's great despite the zombies." If it was 100% fantasy, people would throw their wallet at them and be happy. Why am I the only one who gets tired of dwarves, elves an knights?

I would love to get this game, but I've tried to read the rules and as of now, it seems to be a lot to take in. maybe another time.

Can I play Wolfsburg with the core set even though it’s a different time period ?

Is possible to play zombicide as the last survivor wins?? Player against player? It looks easy to be done..

17:20 That is illegal. The middle slot can only hold an axe. Very specific keyword. Also, holy shit, are you kidding me? that is the most overpowered fu**ing character I have seen. Sure KS get so much shit and that sucks so much. Very poor. I hate it.

Wulfsburg is shit. And I start feeling zombicide is too because of it. Core box feels like you get cheated from content belonging to only precious kickstarters.
Getting eliminated, only able to watch from the side, is shit boring.
There are only 2 (!!!) vault artifacts, and items from wulfsburg are super imbalanced and the gameplay get super boring, because all the game is about is spending the first 5+ rounds bunched up inside one tiny building zone, trading to be able to get ways to defeat the wolfbomination in case he shows up.
The "torch abuse" is super lame and it feels like you are cheating (search, spend an action to give the torch to another player, that player activate, search, and pass the torch on)
    That is super boring.
Wolfs also make it super lame as they can easily make you lose just taking one wrong step and get overrun by them.
    Game flow is shit now.
Also, how the hell do you even manage playing with 4 or 5 players? As 99% of the quests require 6 characters?
How fun is it if 2 players have 2 characters, and the other 2 players get only one character...? WHY are there NO official words on how to solve this? No official rule twists to balance this?
The game doesn't blend well with wulfsburg at all. The much required variety of items and more quests with more characters, I love. But the imbalance in difficulty is laughable. It's either super duper easy, or impossible. It can easily change from one round to another from either. And that doesn't feel very good.
