- Is it realistically possible to boycott Chinese products? In this video, I explain how it can be done by individuals, governments and businesses / companies using the backdrop of US-China Trade War. Firstly, I explain what was the impact of US-China trade and how it led to companies moving outside China and economically affecting both the countries. There was a loss of approx 1% GDP Growth rate. I bring the same example to India and explain the importance of Free Trade Agreements with other countries if India is to reduce its dependence on China. I also explain the over importance given to Made in China products vs products / services by Chinese companies.

China is using its economy and its “economies of scale” to further its expansionism by annexing other countries land. We common citizens of India can definitely help our military and government during these critical times by not giving China any business from now on. Many people are earning their living hood with help of smartphone/computer and internet. Not using phones is not a solution. Its like running away of the problem instead of solving it. if Chinese products are banned/boycotted in India, it can raise the inflation rate in India because Indian products are costlier as compare to Chinese products. The people of the lower-income groups in India will suffer a lot because they will not be able to purchase costly Indian products.

Dude about the leather Industry- I am from Kanpur, which is India's leading leather manufacturer, but the fake leather products and Raxine has overtaken as it is cheaper. Please guys buy indian made leather even if its a lil costly.
Chinese toys costs less than Indian toys because ccp gives rebate for dumping in other countries. Moreover, India is a price conscious market. So, we prefer to buy saste toys. So, Indian toy companies are losing market share and becoming bankrupt for that.

1. I think because India exports a lot less than what it imports from China, India can raise import tariffs to its advantage, because this will affect Chinese businesses more than Indian businesses - China stands to lose a greater amount of Business than India
2. To reduce dependency on China or for that matter on any country, India needs to improve is own capabilities. This is off course in addition to diversifying it's trade relationships that you have highlighted. As of now the reason why Indians don't buy Micromax is that its nothing in comparison to Xiaomi or One plus (not sure if these are Chinese or taiwanese, but you get my Point)
