Good on you for trying to help and educate the "busy", but I'm just gonna say it. If you can't put together your own kit, and don't use what you have in that kit, then your chances of survival if you ever need it are pretty slim.
Your right about using it! If you don't ever rely on it how do you know what your lacking or what you can cut out to save weight?
True but it’s a great start for people who have no idea where to start.
I think it would be interesting if they offered a build your own bag solution. Totals as you add items. Some of the items in the kit I would never use or keep in the bag.
In a perfect world.
Bought several items from One Thief Surplus per your reviews several months ago. Great stuff for the prices!
Keep up the awesome work! I’ll be looking for this kit as a next purchase
Good basic bag ... One suggestion is a couple of emergency blankets, they're cheap and I personally have used them to help someone who was hypothermic
Make a tripod of 3 sticks 6' long. I used acorns tied in the places that I needed to secure it to the tripod.put the back to the wind and light a fire a couple of feet away. Voila a reflector oven. It was after a front came through and dropped the temperature from 75F to 25F , and someone had forgotten their coat ... Bad planning on their part. You can use them under the tarp to reflect heat from the fire also.
good starter kit. but we differ on a few items. i'd get a single wall stainless steel canteen, not a fan of any plastic water bottles. no need for the strap cutter, especially if i've got a knife. the tool roll is nice, but not for me. i like what you added, but i would also add a bandana or a shemaugh , a Grayl or a Sawyer water filter. the price is pretty fair. just my thoughts.
Yes it's standard. On tarp. I have three. USMC
Okay, affordable is one thing but how sturdy and reliable are the items contained?
Have you been able to test them in the field?
Because you don't want to be in a SHTF scenario and have something vital break or be useless right out of the kit
I made a fire bellow out of an extendable mechanic magnet that was mess up. I would have never thought a strap cutter would ever be useful unless your in your car in a river, instead I have a magnesium pencil sharper so I can make shavings plus use the metal frame to make fire as well. Sub those gloves out for hard knuckle gloves for self defense purposes. Overall this is a very nice kit and yall for sure put some thought into it. You can get free maps from your local government if you search it out on the web. Also don't forget to add items into your EDC to make your survival bag lighter. You have to use these things though because if you don't your going to be lost trying to start a fire with a ferro rod if you have never gathered fat wood or used your knife to make shavings. Cotton balls with Vaseline soaked into them would help starter people out a lot but the key is to actually use and learn your equipment.
I love the name One Thief. There is only one thief in the army. Everyone else is just trying to get their equipment back.
I would love to see another video with you. Demonstrat everything that would be awesome.
I'm thinking about saving up a few months and getting that Kit
Good starter kit and yes it would be a good idea to show new people the basics to get them started right. You can build interest and start them down a path to success.
i just thought of another use for the bellow you can tie a knot in the end of few feet of fishing line and feed it up through it and have a make shift rod
Looking forward to the winter preparation videos
Great Video...
Best leuke Spullen zitten er in de Survival kit.
Good co-op project for a newbie.
Nice job...great kit...great video.
Better than nothing. Get something.
Awesome video
Who will going to teach these people how to use this equipment That's in the bag.
Who?
@@ThePreparedWanderer I learned all my survival stuff through the boy scouts, so that's the boy scouts are no longer available. They can go out and buy boys got books and learned that way but they're still gonna screw up on survival
We are really excited for the opportunity on this! Thanks for the kind words!
