Hello MaCenna: Thank you for this early December decorating post! We just started pulling out our Christmas items this weekend---old and new---and have been struggling to get started with the actually decorating process....and I'm not sure why. Another gorgeous job, MaCenna! As a former nurse and mother-in-law of retired NYC firefighter, please purchase a fire blanket and keep it within arm's length of the stove. Also, a friendly PSA to all. Please do not use the disposable foil pans to cook turkeys. As much as I love the convenience, they are not built to handle the weight of a turkey. One of my daughters started a fire in her kitchen two years ago when she was removing the turkey from her oven. It tipped and started a grease fire. My other daughter started one last week. She was making a turkey and there was a hole in her foil pan that she did not notice. She also started a fire. I wish all a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season.
Right, buy a roasting pan…
Or make sure you put a sheet pan underneath and lift it by the sheet pan.

Michaels have those village houses 50% off. They're not cheap even at that, but they're real keepsakes and look so charming. I loved the bakery. Well, I loved them all but at 74 it's too late to start collecting....

The formal living room has me mesmerized. The banister, gallery wall, mantle and village are incredible.
A lot of nostalgia watching the way you decorate. When I had my house,my tree had pearls and I used the deep red ribbon on framed art as well. I also made bows with long streamers on the door frames and pinned Xmas cards to them. My husband took our boys to a tree farm and cut our tree. The fragrance was lovely. The artificial trees are so much nicer nowadays as well as the greenery is more life like. Now my tree is artificial and a table top. The pre-lit light burned out long ago. I keep a string of lights on it now. It is just me enjoying the decorations as I am alone. Your home and decorations are so very lovely. I just love seeing eager little Kinsley helping as much as she can. What joy with Caid. Looking forward to the 12 days of vlogmas.

Sitting here laughing as I watch her decorate the tree. Knowing that next year everything changes. Cade will be running around and oops there goes the tree. My little one pulled the tree right down. We finally have secured it so it wouldn’t fall and put most ornaments up high. She is extraordinary in her decorating. Cheers

@@jessicajordan680 they just use pool noodles to put on fire mantels so it will grip the edge and then you cover with plastic flowers etc. It is pretty handy but i appreciate she isn't doing that for the sake of doing it. She has a certain way of doing things. That being said if she does try it I'm sure shell hjave her own twist

That gallery wall was top tier! I love how it turned out with the garland on the stair rail.
The fireplace back to where you placed the Christmas tree Chef kiss, adding the touch of bows to the gallery wall with the garland of the staircase with the stockings. This is the most peaceful Christmas feeling great job.❤❤❤❤❤

Love the whole look you put together, it is all beautiful. My style has always been burgundy/cranberry and green, with an old world style, so everything you put together spoke to me.
I suggest you make sure your railing is always usable even with the decor, in case you or your mom need to hold on with the baby. I have RA and always need to use railings, but run into that problem at Christmas. I always decorated, just putting the decor to one side.

For the paper tape get 2 saucers, dampen a sponge or cloth place it in plate then put 2nd plate upside down on top after putting the tape through. Hold plates with rubber band.
