They criticize us for "not dancing" and other such things, but here, the significance of trust and honesty is virtually nonexistent. Colombian women are reputed to be among the most unfaithful globally, so one should think twice. AK's perspective, with all its "filters," is accurate. It is indeed an amazing and beautiful culture, but only feasible for the short term-a few months at most. For a long-term relationship, I fear it is unmanageable. The video is good, offering excellent advice, particularly regarding safety and education. However, I would strongly advise reconsidering any long-term plans. Overall excellent advice which I am totally in agreement with. A couple of things I might add - first, tying in with the ability to speak some English and desire to travel I would say it's best if they have some experience with or at least a desire to learn about your own culture. Even though you're here on their turf, it shouldn't be a total one-way street with the expectation that you embrace everything about Colombian culture absent any reciprocal interest on their part in yours (which after all, will always be a major and primary part of you). Next, even though dating apps if used according to the right guidelines might be useful (and in Medellín you have to be especially careful), I believe it's always best to meet someone organically through participation in an activity of mutual interest. That way you already know you at least have something in common, and there will normally be an opportunity to talk and get to know them better absent the innate pressure of being on a 'date'.
I agree with your points, but would say THE #1 Most Important factor is that the girl has a job/career... A REAL job 💯 That means none of these girls who do hair/makeup/modeling, etc. as a side hustle.... They need to have steady income that they receive biweekly. It gives them a sense of security and raises their ego and self-esteem, which is, despite appearances, in a fragile state after many years of dissapointment and failure in the West. There are, by the way, millions of good women from economically humble backgrounds (and tons of bad women from privileged backgrounds), but they're also not interested in what these men have to offer. So they're left with what they're left with.

Many men that visit Medellin aren't looking for girlfriend's man, they're looking for a fun hookup; just like if they were visiting Vegas, Miami, or Houston. I would also like to add some things to your list. If you know that you are going to live or going to date in south america. You have to learn spanish. Even if your date can speak english or is learning it. Even if it is not perfect but she sees you put the effort in, she will look at you way differently. Also the people in general. I am from germany and my appearance is like a typical german I would say. Blonde with blue eyes. I was in Colombia this year for vacation and the people just thought "another gringo". But after starting to speak spanish to them, you could see the the expressions in their eyes and face change drastically. And secondly I would never go on an expensive first date. Just go into a park or have a coffee together. In parks there are usually people selling some street food or stuff like ice cream, too. You could also go to the cinema. It is pretty cheap, at least the tickets are. Food is ok. If she does not agree to something like that and only wants to go to a fancy restaurant or something, she just is not interested enough to get to know you.
Yes you are completely right when you say "after starting to speak Spanish to them, you could see the the expressions in their eyes and face change drastically." Your social value increases 10x they realize you know Spanish. You're not just "another gringo" anymore.

AK, this video is long overdue. Maybe you hadn’t lived in Medellín long enough to have amassed the data you have now. I think you gave very solid & sensible advice. I was raised where my father was the sole bread winner & provider + I believe in chivalry. While I believe it’s my responsibility to cover the costs of a date I also provide opportunities to allow my date to reciprocate & look for signs of appreciation. For example, I love gelato so often after enjoying a meal together I rather go elsewhere for dessert. Most often my date will at least make an attempt to treat me to dessert. Another example might be me buying the movie tics & her offering to buy the popcorn & drinks etc. As you suggested it’s important to take notice & establish some sort of ground rules by which you guide yourself so as not to be taken advantage of. I’ve also found that introductions by others often lead to better quality opportunities based on the premise that good people know other good people. If you & I were mates, hung out a bit, your now wife gets to know me there’s a chance she might introduce me to one of her friends that she believes would be a good match. There’s no guarantee of compatibility & eternal love BUT I do believe intros by others also help weed out those who don’t necessarily have the bestest of intentions. I’m currently living in Manila Medellin and I have actually had a ton of luck dating in Colombia with tinder and bumble. I’m talking about women who know English, have visas to Europe and U.S., and have degrees and have good jobs. With tinder you have to be more realistic with yourself. Dating in the U.S. is far easier and I had way better results. But in Colombia it’s even harder with the language barrier, even if the girl is into you, at some point you two will become frustrated if you don’t both improve. Guys really do need to learn Spanish. I am good at talking to women in the U.S. so my superpower in the US does not work in Colombia. Also dating women in Colombia has actually saved me a ton of money. If they are interested in you, they will do try to help you

I agree with most of what was said. I don't want to be an ATM. But, the wages in Colombia are super low. I can make in one day what a typical Colombian can make in a month. Personally, I don't have a problem paying for Ubers and food. But, if she says "my grandma is sick," or "I need help with rent," I'm gone.
I've dated a bunch in Medellin. I never offer to pay transport off the bat. I will often if they ask about it. If they get there on their own, even if it's taking the metro, they are usually more genuine. Them offering to pay for little things, taking you on the metro with their civica, coffees or beer is also a good sign like you say. But I also lump acts of service in with that. My ex girlfriend took me to the hospital stayed with me for two weeks while I recovered, and was running around getting all my medicine and supplies after surgery. This was when I started dating her, without me asking and after Id planned to hire a nurse. I've dated other girls that want to cook for you, clean up, help you shave etc... With the gold diggers it's always about them or minimally they think giving you sex is enough.
Great advice for the deserving. And I couldn’t agree more about finding someone who is university educated. For example, I’ve met some incredible Medellin women who graduated from the University of Antioquia. They’re intelligent, confident, engaging and worldly-even when not well traveled. If I were in the dating market, that would be a major green flag (or a red one for the passport bros/whining Weses out there).
I like your videos my man! I speak Spanish and I say only get with a Colombian women that speaks English. If you think she will learn English, you can forget about that. A good place to to meet Colombians that speak English are the doctor and dentist office that cater to tourist. I go to international smiles and everybody speaks English. I agree with dating app but if she has self employed, unemployed, or student, pass on these women. Also if you're in your 40s, get a woman close to your age.
Overall this is great advice. I'd say learn spanish at a high level if you want to do well in Latin America. The pool of English-speaking people in Colombia is pretty tiny. Your time in any Latin American is going to be 100% better speaking Spanish. I want to make local friends and not just be hanging out with expats and I want to learn about the culture. Along those lines a girlfriend is one of the best ways to immerse yourself.
Great advice. I’ve been paying for women my whole life but I’ve found that I’ve changed in that I’m not interested in changing girls anymore. I’m just looking for a chemistry and companion. I’m not into nighttime as I go to sleep ridiculously early and do a ton of exercise , sports and diet. I’m hoping to find a travel partner too. As a Medellin girl married to someone from US that I met almost 9 years ago, I would say this advice is pretty good. There are a lot of fantastic and exceptional women all around Medellin, education in a country like Colombia is a privilege, therefore, sometimes your girl could be from a poor area of Medellin and still be a good and exceptional woman that just hasn’t have a lot opportunities in life. However, a lot good and local girls just don’t want to go out with foreigners because some of them have been really good on creating a bad reputation around foreigners and that they are only looking to go out and have sex with as many women as they can while traveling in Colombia. So best advice be mindful of yourself and use common sense and you would probably be fine and find a good girl in Medellin or anywhere in the world.
Hello AK, Mike Faca here. Just a comment about your video. First, there is an old saying, " stay in your lane ". What this means is that if you are 70 years old you should be looking for someone in your age group. I am 71 and my wife, who is Colombian, is 71. We have been married for 21 years. Second, when I was single, I did not have a problem dating women because I treat them with respect, I am honest to them and I never tried to change who they were. If you go to another country to find a woman because you could not find one in your country, maybe look in the mirror. Alot of your videos talk about making friends which I have commented on. Friendship is the foundation to a good relation. If you are a good person, you will attract good people. If you know what you want, you will see the bad people and can avoid them. GOOD WOMEN in Medellin are professional women and women who didn't go to university but are very business saavy and have established themselves with their work in general. You really don't find them on dating apps in general. You have to network. These womnen usally work for good companies like Nacional de Chocolates, ISA, EPM, etc.You have to really speak Spanish well enough to connect with them. Some of these professional women have some pre-intermediate to intermediate English speaking skills. These types of women are not interested in leaving Medellin and their comforts to go to some foreign land where they're far from family and friends. I know all of tghis because I have been here for 26 years now. I'm a teacher and that's how I have met so many good women and not the shady ones.

There are no statistics on the information you are giving out. Finding a women with a degree doesn’t qualify her as a good women. Most sex workers are using money to fund a college degree. So if you end up finding a women with a degree, you better be asking how did she pay for it.

It's actually common for girls to do this in order to finance their education or anything that is of great value simply because the money comes quickly. To be fair, it also happens in first world. I’m currently living in Manila Medellin and I have actually had a ton of luck dating in Colombia with tinder and bumble. I’m talking about women who know English, have visas to Europe and U.S., and have degrees and have good jobs. With tinder you have to be more realistic with yourself. Dating in the U.S. is far easier and I had way better results. But in Colombia it’s even harder with the language barrier, even if the girl is into you, at some point you two will become frustrated if you don’t both improve. Guys really do need to learn Spanish. I am good at talking to women in the U.S. so my superpower in the US does not work in Colombia.
Also dating women in Colombia has actually saved me a ton of money. If they are interested in you, they will do try to help you
I spent 18 months in Medellin and dated many girls in Colombia. Almost every girl i met needed money for medicine for there mothers. I was thinking to myself how unlucky could i be meet all these women with sick mothers 😂😂😂😂😂

I agree with most of what was said. I don't want to be an ATM. But, the wages in Colombia are super low. I can make in one day what a typical Colombian can make in a month. Personally, I don't have a problem paying for Ubers and food. But, if she says "my grandma is sick," or "I need help with rent," I'm gone.

I've dated a bunch in Medellin. I never offer to pay transport off the bat. I will often if they ask about it. If they get there on their own, even if it's taking the metro, they are usually more genuine. Them offering to pay for little things, taking you on the metro with their civica, coffees or beer is also a good sign like you say. But I also lump acts of service in with that. My ex girlfriend took me to the hospital stayed with me for two weeks while I recovered, and was running around getting all my medicine and supplies after surgery. This was when I started dating her, without me asking and after Id planned to hire a nurse. I've dated other girls that want to cook for you, clean up, help you shave etc... With the gold diggers it's always about them or minimally they think giving you sex is enough.

Great advice for the deserving. And I couldn’t agree more about finding someone who is university educated. For example, I’ve met some incredible Medellin women who graduated from the University of Antioquia. They’re intelligent, confident, engaging and worldly-even when not well traveled. If I were in the dating market, that would be a major green flag (or a red one for the passport bros/whining Weses out there).

I like your videos my man! I speak Spanish and I say only get with a Colombian women that speaks English. If you think she will learn English, you can forget about that. A good place to to meet Colombians that speak English are the doctor and dentist office that cater to tourist. I go to international smiles and everybody speaks English. I agree with dating app but if she has self employed, unemployed, or student, pass on these women. Also if you're in your 40s, get a woman close to your age.

Overall this is great advice. I'd say learn spanish at a high level if you want to do well in Latin America. The pool of English-speaking people in Colombia is pretty tiny. Your time in any Latin American is going to be 100% better speaking Spanish. I want to make local friends and not just be hanging out with expats and I want to learn about the culture. Along those lines a girlfriend is one of the best ways to immerse yourself.
Great advice. I’ve been paying for women my whole life but I’ve found that I’ve changed in that I’m not interested in changing girls anymore. I’m just looking for a chemistry and companion. I’m not into nighttime as I go to sleep ridiculously early and do a ton of exercise , sports and diet. I’m hoping to find a travel partner too. One who can understand or even partake in my fitness life along with sightseeing. I’m learning Spanish and plan on studying it in Medellin as well as pursuing my sports activities there. No more clubs man that’s over.

Even in the USA if I ask someone on a proper date I should pay. Internationally men have created what I call "the handout mentallity". It all comes down to who your dating. Money will create pleasures but are very short term. There some amazing in women in Colombia and others want and need money. My joke is I'll be your "Slendid Dad" and will also say Im not sponsoring anyone right now. They laugh, but someone will always try to out bid you. I have feelings and always want to better the people around me.

As a Medellin girl married to someone from US that I met almost 9 years ago, I would say this advice is pretty good. There are a lot of fantastic and exceptional women all around Medellin, education in a country like Colombia is a privilege, therefore, sometimes your girl could be from a poor area of Medellin and still be a good and exceptional woman that just hasn’t have a lot opportunities in life. However, a lot good and local girls just don’t want to go out with foreigners because some of them have been really good on creating a bad reputation around foreigners and that they are only looking to go out and have sex with as many women as they can while traveling in Colombia. So best advice be mindful of yourself and use common sense and you would probably be fine and find a good girl in Medellin or anywhere in the world.
Hello AK, Mike Faca here. Just a comment about your video. First, there is an old saying, " stay in your lane ". What this means is that if you are 70 years old you should be looking for someone in your age group. I am 71 and my wife, who is Colombian, is 71. We have been married for 21 years. Second, when I was single, I did not have a problem dating women because I treat them with respect, I am honest to them and I never tried to change who they were. If you go to another country to find a woman because you could not find one in your country, maybe look in the mirror. Alot of your videos talk about making friends which I have commented on. Friendship is the foundation to a good relation. If you are a good person, you will attract good people. If you know what you want, you will see the bad people and can avoid them. I went with my white gringo friend we had great time until he wanted to risk it more was trying to pick up women one day he met this Colombian woman and they arranged to have something to eat (I told him be careful)i normally never really stayed out late and took great care anyway that was the last I heard of him tried calling him not responding even went to the place they met nothing I later got wind he was drugged and killed and had his cards rinsed till this day it sends shivers down my spine I would never go back also majority of killings don’t make it in the media be careful guys when you go you only have one life.
GOOD WOMEN in Medellin are professional women and women who didn't go to university but are very business saavy and have established themselves with their work in general. You really don't find them on dating apps in general. You have to network. These womnen usally work for good companies like Nacional de Chocolates, ISA, EPM, etc.You have to really speak Spanish well enough to connect with them. Some of these professional women have some pre-intermediate to intermediate English speaking skills. These types of women are not interested in leaving Medellin and their comforts to go to some foreign land where they're far from family and friends. I know all of tghis because I have been here for 26 years now. I'm a teacher and that's how I have met so many good women and not the shady ones.

All your tips are spot on by the way - you're right that no high value established woman wants to leave Medellin. Plenty are open to going to other countries to study/work but they always want to come back home.

If any decent guy wants to have the chance of connecting with a good Paisa gal, they need to learn a good amount of Spanish, network with locals and establish good friendships so that they can get introduced to the right people. By locals I mean middle class or upper class folks because there's a good chance of not getting fooled or worse.

Tbh I see passport bros as legit people that want to find a wife and legit ones and im one of them but tbh I don’t really call them actually it’s just travellers that are not having success in your own country for whatever reason and trying another country just to live a better life and technically these women especially in Colombia are much easier to deal with than UK women. Where you have to go through the bullshit just to attract her and I don’t need to increase my bodies just to make her attractive to me. So the video is also for people like myself that need a quality girl that we can marry and have kids.

Dating good woman is NOT impossible in Colombia. However, to your points, you will indeed have to put in the work.
In my opinion, speaking english is NOT the best way, but speaking Spanish is. You are in their country , they are not in yours. The chances of getting someone of great character opens up when you can get them natively and not already Americanized 😒
Also, a degree while good, doesnt justify being a good woman.

Colombia, and especially Medellin, is not for the uninitiated. While Colombianas are very beautiful they can be very "mercenary". By the time you figure things out, you may be a relieved of a lot of your funds.
Is Medellín really the right city to be looking for that kind of woman in, especially considering the dangers of dating there? 🤔 You seem to be talking to higher value guys (so not most passport bros) who are pretty liberal. Those guys should be able to do well in Europe and probably even in the US in the first place.
I see that you’re passionate about Medellín and Colombia, which is great but dating for that profile of guy isn’t probably the reason for him to go there when compared with the safer alternatives.
I get your point and I'd say the main reasons for Colombia over Europe is: better weather year round, cost of living, same time zone as the US and friendlier people.

There are no statistics on the information you are giving out. Finding a women with a degree doesn’t qualify her as a good women. Most sex workers are using money to fund a college degree. So if you end up finding a women with a degree, you better be asking how did she pay for it.

It's actually common for girls to do this in order to finance their education or anything that is of great value simply because the money comes quickly.

Is she available for a meaningful friendship and possible relationships (no idea how old she is). She speaks English and seems not boring to be with at all. A woman like she is an ideal case.
