What wonders these little engines are. For some reason I find them more convincingly realistic than Gauge 1. Perhaps it's because they are working harder. That Bullied engine has perfect valve timing and the blast pipe makes a perfect chuff. What an excellent live-steam experience. I also appreciate the ground-level layout and nice trackwork. Really something to see a steam passenger train whoosh by at speed. Very realistic. I also enjoyed the little 0-6-0 at the beginning, plodding about with its coal trucks. Also had perfectly timed valves. This is something I listen for and really appreciate. I have a 16mm scale live steam loco, but this video makes me wish I had done "O" scale. I love how the trains glide along.

    Excellent, 👍
Cheered me up on this, horrid stormy evening.
Now waiting for the uploading to finish, so that I can see it again in full HD 😉
    Thank you.

I'm glad to have been able to bring some cheer to your evening. And yes its frustrating that it takes time for the HD versions to be processed.

Nice I want one too I have 50 OO gauge locomotives all are about 40 years old and older my dad bought them for me before I was born. Good job I was a boy. But I remembered that I have run downstairs and I told my mother that my sisters were play with my trains again The trains also played with the t v signal and my mother and father would know that we were playing with the trans I do have some of the Hornby live steam I am also building a new layout with u s a locomotives and Walthers building and rolling stock. Keep on the good work Robert Bolton

Thanks for your comments. TV interference was also a problem with the HO layout my father built in the attic. Unfortunately it interfered with the TV of our neighbour (their aerial was in their adjacent loft at the time) so it did not get as much use as he intended. But I happily built an N gauge fold away layout in my bedroom. O gauge live steam does not suffer from EMI 🙂

Thank you for sharing, I had one of those some 55 years ago and regret selling it so much .

particularly liked some of the LNER locos and coaches. The coal trains at the start were great too with nice scale speed running.

I found this oddly relaxing. Interestig that they can pull a fair amount of tractive effort out of something so small,

I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I particularly like the sequence of Graham’s West Country slowly completing the loop while he sits down to admire her.

The only thing not totally visible on screen is the beautiful camaraderie that exists between the gauge o guild members
It has always been the same since I was 2 years old till now 32 years old
