QUESTION 2
Cost price is $ 60
Mark up is 40 %
60 X 1.40 = 84
SELLING PRICE IS $ 84
QUESTION 3
Selling Price $ 210
Mark Up 75 %
210 / 1.75 = 120
Cost Price $ 120
why is it 1.40 sir
can you please tell us why is it 1.40?
Because
C:100% + M: 40% = S: 140% and the decimal form for 140 is 1.40
@@latryces.2792 Got it, thankü 🥰

Thank you so much for this. I was able to solve one of my CPA review questions with this video.
On December 30, Year 1, Astor Corp. sold merchandise for $75,000 to Day Co. The terms of the sale were net 30, FOB shipping point. The merchandise was shipped on December 31, Year 1, and arrived at Day on January 5, Year 2. Due to a clerical error, the sale was not recorded until January Year 2, and the merchandise, sold at a 25% markup, was included in Astor's inventory at December 31, Year 1. As a result, Astor's cost of goods sold for the year ended December 31, Year 1, was
For question #1 it should be that it is 23/46 which means the mark up rate is actually 50%
And for question #3 there is another way, that way is you divide the sale price by the sale rate C:

Take a menu from any category of a restaurant (QSR, casual dining, fine dining, etc.) and choose 3 menu items to calculate the food cost percentage and contribution margin. To do this, list the ingredients you think they use and the amounts by using the cost of the food at GFS, a grocery store, or numbers that the restaurant will give you. You will need to figure out the price for just the amount of the package you are using.
In full cost pricing, the cost of 46$ per unit ..is it inclusive of production and non production costs or only production costs pls clarify..thanks
26 by mistake likha gaya hai but concept to clear hu gaya na ,bat concept ke the. thanx alot
oh thank God. I thought I was wrong. It should be 23, not 26
nice
Error! Markup is $23 not $26. Helpful, however. Thank you

Sir Can you please tell me the solution of this question "A variety of shirts that was bought for Rs 135 was marked up 21% of the selling price in
summer season. When in winters, they were marked down 30%. What was the Sale price
after the 30% markdown?"
Where do you get the 26?
Where did you get the 26 for markup in your computation if the number given for markup is 23?
What if the cost is more than selling price the answer can be negative?
an item supposed to be sell ($8 +35% = $10.80) but sell at ($8+50%=$12),so there is extra $1.20.how to calculate the extra($1.20) in percentage?
how to find the markup price?
You draw lines well how??
Thanks for appreciation
From where we got 26/46 as our markup i
s 23
If anyone didn't see this this is just a friendly reminder that the markup was 23 not 26 so just wanted to make sure you know that
Thanks for making that clear. By mistake I wrote 23 as 26 and then calculated the SP. Also, Here is the Playlist with many variations on this method: th-cam.com/play/PLJ-ma5dJyAqr-0pfGfVJHGaV12JaOuIpy.html
Hope the method is clear. Thanks
Sales Price= cost * (1+Markup%)
See my cost is 20 and I Need my cost percentage to be 40% for 20 so what is the calculation to find the selling price where my cost will be 40%
Wait how can I solve if the missing one is the markup price
In the first example, missing one is MarkUp price.
MarkUp = SP - CP
Hope that helps
Sir, markup rate will 50% in 1st quation
I think it should be 23÷46 x100
Mark up is sound a gross profit?
I came to the same conclusion in different matter and not sure if can be applied to all cases such as your example for question 3.
I did $210 ÷ 1.75 (175%) = $120.
Sir 26 apdi vanthu chu pls solluga
Sorry, question #1, why 26/43? Where you getting this number?
Kindly correct question number one you mentioned mistakenly 26÷46, instead of 23 ÷46=50%
Hi, there this videohas 2 mistakes, first calculation it should be 23. It is a typo.
Third calculation the result is C=68.57
How did you get $68.57 for the cost price?
The cost price is $52.50
I am impressed, but why do you use 26 as mark up in determining the mark up rate?
23 should be the mark-up

CORRECTION: Markup is 23 and so the Markup rate should have been 23/46 x 100 = 50%.
i agree, that 26, where is that coming from
Thanks, It should be 23 not 26. Thanks for pointing that out.
Where this 26 coming from🤦🏽♂️
It is his mistake must be 23
J KN I was wondering too !
Even though he made that mistake I still watched the whole video, still not sure how he carried on without noticing it🤔
How to get the mark up price if there's is no selling price? Just cost price? How?
Here is a link: th-cam.com/video/2BHhWkWqwKE/w-d-xo.html
Thanks
did you added those 3 dots to 23 to get 26?
26 is a mistake. It should have been 23 only. Answer is 23/46 x 100 = 50%
Bypassed that....
Hahahahaha
How about the cost is 465 and the selling price is 415?
You got mark up price 23 but on the equation you put 26. Result Should be 50% for first question
Why is it 26/46 if the mark up is 23?
Mark-up is 23 and Markup Rate is 23/46 (increase over the original)
Why Does it increases over the original??? I think you made a mistake Mr. Kumar.
yeah looks like it should have been (23/46) * 100
Ya this looks wrong
Its 23 you intelligent
Indian peps make math easier 😉
How did it become 26???
Where that 26 came from?
I was confused where did 26 came from
Yes, it should have been 23. Thanks
how is it 26?????
It is 23/46 x 100. Probably you are not able to see the correction on iPhone.
Thanks.
Is it 26 or 23?
23. Thanks
Anil Kumar ? Really ?tell me some else got that
Dollar Mark Up is 23 so the answer must be 50%
Sir it's 23 naa 26 naa sir.
Yes
Why did you say 26 instead of 23 as that is the markup price
You made mistake it's supposed to be 23 not 26
True. Markup is 23 and so the Markup rate should have been 23/46 x 100 = 50%.
Thanks
There is mistake....Sir
Yes, should be 23
True.
Sorry but the first calculation there was a mistake , it's suppose to be 23 and not 26
There is a mistake, should be 50%
It should be 23
Correct. I have added that in the comments as a part of correction.
Thanks for the feedback. Highly Appreciated.
There is mistake
1:18 FUNNY NUMBER
It’s 23, not 26 :(
Your solution is wrong why you take mark up as 26
True. CORRECTION: Markup is 23 and so the Markup rate should have been 23/46 x 100 = 50%.
