Saw her live in San Diego and i will forever be altered to my core. She is the embodiment of magic, ancient primordial magic in its purist form. Much love to my fellow Warriors and Weirdos! 💜

I saw her play in Toronto this year, and was brought to tears. She really is otherworldly, magical as you put it. Everyone should see her live at least once in their life.

Well said! The song is beautiful and the message important. To me there are no real sides in this discussion. We all are here for a short period of time and hopefully will do our part to leave the world better than we found it. Ignore the radicals on both sides and find solutions in the middle through moderation and ingenuity.

True good sense. Extreme positions only lead to wasting energy on politics when we need to become simply sensible and husband what helps us all to live and thrive

    • @dmwalker24
      @dmwalker24 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You are undeniably correct that in the end there are no sides, and eventually we'll all share the fate that we've made for ourselves. You would probably call me extreme, but my side wants a planet that operates in a way that is sustainable, and that cares for the well-being of the maximum possible number of people. The other side wants to burn the world down for the profit of a tiny minority. Both ends of the spectrum are not equal, and our enemies don't care about your 'moderation'.

  • @Geralt26
    @Geralt26 ปีที่แล้ว +20

Great reaction. I liked it a lot. Song is amazing and I love video and her interpretative dancing. You made some very interesting comments about colors. I also think colors are important for Aurora (at last, I noticed that colors have role at some of her performances ). And yes, this song has very important and strong message. This topic is very important for Aurora and she is very passionate about it.
I also think we should have a balance between nature and technology. But we organized world in the way that this balance does not exist. It is also general problem with humans as too many people does not think/care about future only about "now" and maximal comfort/profits. Politicians should be theoretical responsible for this wider view but also does not think about future - only about support and the power/authority. That is why awareness of this topic is very important as of course we can do small things ourselves but we can also have some influence on politician's who cares about votes.
Ps. Also sorry, I think my English is not good enough to discuss such topic easily (at last I would like to better discus complex topics ;) )

Amazing and important song! She never disappoints! Great reaction and comments, you are 100% correct. Change does need to be made but it has to be done with common sense. Society and the Infrastructure has to be ready for the change. We are not there yet, so we cant simply jump into the deep end and Pray that we can swim. However we may not be as far away as some think.

    yes YeS YES❣❣
    Thank you Rosalie 🤗🤗
This has is my ABSOLUTE FAV amongs AURoRAs amzn collection of songs.🥰🥰
And yes, Rosalie, there should be room for everyone. BUT if everyone made a change for themselves regarding enviromental 🦶print and the way we live. Things would change. If we stop'd being fearful and were consumed by "me me me", our personal and enviromental future would change momentarily, I think Gandhi talked about this.
On the other hand, the notion that "whom am I, I cannot make a change alone. Well look at Ghandi, Mandela and other leading examples for us to follow (if we choose to...it all comes down to choice... and at core, very basic ones 😘)

The way you react as you are listening (even before you comment) is extraordinary.
This song grabbed you by the gut, struck a chord... and it's beautiful to see. Amazing. Admiring.
I think Aurora does that... many times, with many songs (and after a while, she does it just by being herself... besides, isn't she herself when she writes, composes, performs and directs?)
Regarding your introduction about the interpretations of A.'s songs: what A. prefers adores her own mouth is that her listeners are free to interpret her lyrics as they want.
She voluntarily leaves a lot of room for the imagination in her poetry and non-narrative lyrics.
Your shivers and goose bumps while listening, your excitement at certain specific points, almost force me to recommend you to see the LIVE version at HAIK of this song.
Aurora is so unleashed! The back vocals done by Silja are perfectly resonant... she's having a blast, she's a blossoming flower and a defending tigress... You're thinking about blowing your mind while watching this video? She'll make you feel like a being whole planet exploding... or singing in unison your cry of distress and rallying.
(That also leeds to inhale/exhale song ! )
.. And I'm only at the 9th minute of your reaction. I agree with you 100% with what you say about the different systems, the idealistic theory that collapses when confronted with the reality.
Two last words (and I go back to your reaction):
    LIVE; HAIK.
    :)

I got chills just from watching your videos emotional response to this. I don’t often comment, but I’ve been watching your videos for a while now.
I’m seeing Aurora live in Brisbane (Australia) in a few weeks. It’ll be my second time seeing her live.
Her music has helped me through a lot. I’m an autistic woman with treatment resistant depression, complex ptsd (childhood stuff and DV). I’ve spent so much time feeling alone in my life. And sad.
But I felt so connected to this human that I’d never met.. and the community of warriors and weirdos (like me).. that I somehow felt a part of something.
Her song (and music video) for Queendom.. possibly saved my life at one point. Knowing that people like her existed gave me hope that not everyone in the world sucked. I’d love your take on it, if you have time at some point.
    Big love. ❤

Great reaction again Rosalie! Aurora is the perfect messenger to make us aware for profound problems in this world. But she never only condemns or laments the situation, she always leaves a path for hope. In fact she has big faith in the younger generation that we will be able to make the world a better place. There are 2 other Songs that deal with Mother Earth I would suggest to listen to, Soulless Creatures (Live in Bergen 2020), very artistic and with orchestra, and Exhale Inhale - Vevo Studio Performance.

All societies struggling with that. We fight to get things better. But the better it gets we also forget the struggle and starting to take things for granted and becomes lazy and greedy to the point when it all crumbles down. And so everything starts all over. Aurora addresses so many important issues in her music. It's no exaggeration to say that this one has by far the most dire consequences. It's also a problem that humanity is failing to deal with, almost in any way whatsoever. Of course, that's because we have a system which is designed to seek endless perpetual growth/consumption, and this planet has finite resources. There's nothing political about that. It's just a math problem. Resource sustainability versus the rate of increasing utilization. Unfortunately, humanity fractured into thousands of different factions/nations/ideologies is (at least thus far) incapable of solving this problem.

I believe what she said about “the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven. That’s me. And others like her. She’s bisexual and can love anyone she likes. I’m straight but not narrow and love her. So, no worries. Just live and enjoy as much as you can. Luv ya girlie! Hugs and kisses and tickles and caresses to you.

Well some forms of socialism the government doesn't redistribute wealth between everyone, they only enforce rules that make companies redistribute their share profits between their workers. But that's not really the focus of the song anyways, it's more a message about how unchecked capitalism corrupts and destroys the environment because it has no method of seeing long-term consequences. That doesn't mean you need to go all the way to socialism, if every country just took on Nordic policies of social democracy (not socialism, technically still capitalism but with more government oversight) we'd already be a lot closer to allowing social pressure to force governments into action on climate change.

Aurora only offers us the potential consequence of inaction regardless of what we believe. Human history has proven that change is a struggle to achieve. For that, I would say that meaningful change will come but only when it's too late. We will, as we always do be reactive instead of proactive. Even when the cost is less in being proactive we will in turn pay more for being reactive. This is who we are as humans.

You actually hit it spot on for me.
I hold the same thoughts about all systems.
Right now where I live (the Netherlands) there’s a lot of noise about the government, the monarchy etc, and it actually is exactly what you tried to express, every system breaks at (not the same, but) some point and actually isn’t the system, but the people that aren’t working together or thinking about the whole picture, only themselves.
If people can see the bigger picture and talk (and listen) objective, it would the world - nature and humanity - a lot.
Yes humanity doesn’t fit in nature at this moment, so I wrote them separately.. but that’s my opinion 😉

Hello Rosalie, I call this song AURORAS "Earth Song".
AURORA's songs always have a strong message. But mostly only for a certain part of her fans. Often the messages are not very clear either. This song has the strongest message. A clear message. And this message is addressed to all people on planet earth. That is what makes the song so different.
By the way, the melody is fantastic. So soft in the part for nature and so hard in the part with the message. Very impressive.
Masterly. "We are burning our fingers - but we are learning to forget". Usually when we burn our fingers we learn that the fire or the stovetop, are hot. Aurora sees it differently. Is she really right? Then humanity is lost. It's a powerful wake-up call.
Exhale Inhale - th-cam.com/video/hJcIVes-6r4/w-d-xo.html - strong lyrics - This is "The Seed 2.0". Just as impressive in the lyrics as in the music and her singing.
I can recommend a very different song:
Would you like to hear a completely different AURORA? Then check out this song. AURORA songs are somehow always different from the others, but I think this one is special.
You wouldn't expect anything like that from AURORA. At least I think so.
    - Apple Tree - th-cam.com/video/AvPzwKQKZTc/w-d-xo.html
"Apple Tree is about the potential that hides in all of us. We can all save the world if we put our minds to it. The world won't listen to scientific proof that the world is dying, so maybe it will listen to the dreamers, the children. In a bleeding world the power of the individual is our only hope. Let her save the world. Let him save them all. Believe in us, and maybe we'll be the generation that saves the world, rather than the one that killed it." (aurora-aksnes.fandom.com/wiki/Apple_Tree)
Channel Rob For collects quotes from AURORA. Through these little quotes from AURORA, we can see a little more of who she is.
    AURORA - Quote 026: „…. I forgot the lyriks again ….“ (2015-01-15) - th-cam.com/video/8sfKR9uBxGM/w-d-xo.html
    AURORA - Quote 044: About „broken teeth“ and „... I’m a auto-cannibal ...“ (2018-10-19) - th-cam.com/video/GQBBba9MaS8/w-d-xo.html

Hypnotic, almost like a Balinese dancer, without long fingernails.
Brilliant use of high speed and slow motion photography.
Plants growing really fast, gently rocking back and forth (each day, following the Sun),
the traffic sped up like blood flow in arteries.
    Human assisted entropy.
We can see the results in China, russia, India, the disparity between rich and poor.
China had ideas to control fertility, now they are facing a population deficit,
not enough workers to support future pensioners.

Ese mensaje de Aurora es de un chaman Dakota , Aurora lo adapto a su canción para el estribillo para dar el mensaje de que el dinero no tiene valor y no se puede comer si ya el planeta y toda su existencia se acaba.

I always love your reaction and comment and taught on Aurora. I don't think that she is against money tho, it's more about that for to many gouvernement the money become the leader of the deicision instead of being the tool to acomplish thing. We need money (no mather the form of it) to trade with other, the point IMO is more about the fact that compagny like oil and gaz can dictate the law even if they are killing the nature. In the name of so many job (?!?) they don't want to cut down the production, but those ppl can easely transfere in job that will provide solar energy for exemple, they will have a paied check, still got good job but without killing the nature, I think it's more on that level that we have to understand now that we won't be able to eat money. It's sade but sometime war bring good thing, with all the situation with Russia and their oil, Europe HAVE to change the way they heat, make electrical power and things like that, so they put fast forward on all aternative power source that is not produce with oil, why do we need those type of situation to make the move tho? Just so that you know, Aurora is not only showing off and singning for for mother earth, she is vegan, only buy second hand, make her close out of old fabric, and plant trees for each piece of march and album that she sels. But she always take good care of not growing anxiety on ppl about that, she want to bring awarness, not potting blame, another thing that I love about her. Take care and thank you.

America doesn’t have the poorest people. Even here poor people often still have stuff. Pushing around things in shopping carts. Shelters to go to for food. There are people here who consider themselves poor but still have an iPhone and a nice watch and shoes because they are buying the wrong things and using $ unwisely. You can get government support here (I have needed to at one point in my life). But I have also seen true poverty in Cambodia and in the massai land. Children living on our by mountains of trash. People living in huts made of dirt. American poor people are still richer comparatively

"Aye, man, know ye this knowing:
always beside thee walk the Children of Light.
Masters they of the SUN power,
ever unseen yet the guardians of men.
Open to all is their pathway,
open to he who will walk in the LIGHT.
Free are THEY of DARK AMENTI,
free of the HALLS, where LIFE reigns supreme.
SUNS are they and LORDS of the morning,
Children of Light to shine among men.
Like man are they and yet are unlike,
Never divided were they in the past.
ONE have they been in ONENESS eternal,
throughout all space since the beginning of time.
Up did they come in Oneness with the ALL ONE,
up from the first-space, formed and unformed."

Everyone is so lost to themselves and lacking of true inner purpose that they long for any external cause to fight for, but we are so easily manipulated by the gatekeepers of information no? How do we know what causes are actually true and just?
And believing that the responsibility to save the world (it doesent need saving, WE do. The world will be here long after we are gone.) is on any single ones, or generations, shoulders is dysfunctional; thats the way to depression, rage, negativity; wich in turn actually is how we make the world a worse place.
The best way to change the world the to the better is simply to be the best version of yourself as you possibly can; your dreams and aspirations are beautiful, and your effort are inspiring to others. Be good and kind and loving. Be forgiving, to yourself and others. Smile a lot, because a good smile spreads like rings on the water. After all we are all imperfect, but together we can create something better than any individual piece.

Yes sometimes it can work but it also comes with limitations. Same for Germany where I grew up. The benefits of a welfare state def exist however they also come w limitations in my opinion. Every system has pros and cons

@@rosalieelliottofficial I can honestly say that I rather live in a country where scool is free..healthcare free..every worker has 5 weeks paid semester every year..kids taken care of wwhile parentes go to work for almost free..Yet we have the higest increasing number of billioners here in Sweden. So capitalusm and socialism goes hand in hand here in Sweden. Its not perfekt..far from it..There is no such thing as a perfect society. I respect your standpoint.. in this matter. But thats it. I truly like your reaction videos so thank you.!👍
