I would’ve liked for the horse breeding to produce more unique variations (maybe the foal could inherit either parents color, pattern, mane, and even hoof color) but I can imagine that’d be hard to refine when you incorporate CAS

Sims 3 actually had the foals look different from the parents. I wish Sims 4 incorporated that
the first coat you had to do was super complex, and given you only used the brushes from the first page i think you did a great job! for coats with lots of splashes and spots, i do recommend you look into the other two “pages“ of brushes. there‘s sort of stamps which makes blankets and splotches way easier, also there‘s stencils for legs and sabinos and such, which essentially has you filling out only certain areas. still love how you used both games here, and foals are always cute no matter how they look hehe

I wish there was a mod that would improve pet gebetics...I hate that they are basically clones of the parents...I think only dogs can have random coats added in?
Sims 3 Breeding was way better. Not necessarily accurate but at least markings mixed with the other coats and you could have crazy things that way XD
Even with Sims 3 breeding, I always modified them to look like something that could realistically come out of that pairing. Them being naturally different than the parents doesn't really help if that "different" is "black spots on a brown base" insanity.

I love what you are doing here from Sims 4 and Rival Stars mixing the genetics. I am actually playing a game called Horse Isle 3: Infinite Wilds which can be found on whatever browser you are using. I taking foals born from there and remaking them on the Sims 4 then breeding them. I also use a random wheel generator to choose what colors the foals born in the sims will have. It Is by far the best way to get unique looking horses. 🥰
Love the way the babies turned out! Especially the first one! Just a heads up the thin marking on the Hoof is called a cornet band(no hate at all).

I liked this video a lot! I love Rival Stars and I love making custom coats on Sims 4 on my gallery! Both are fun for me so it's cool seeing both get integrated into one video! I would watch another one of these for sure!!

I agree the genes on the sims 4 horse ranch expansion is horrible, but there is 4 versions the mothers coat, fathers mane & tail, or fathers coat, mothers mane & tail, like you said, and, just a complete replica of the mother or father, also love your vids! you got me into Rival stars

Something that could help others wanting to get this pack, I added horses to my gallery before I got it then once I got it I wasn’t able to add them to my household
9:53 Household limit, there is a limit on how many entities can be in your household (8). However, there are mods to have more in the household / change the limit.

You could have re-made the horse with the opposite gender in the creator area and bought it in the game to breed, I would love to see more! =)
Just to clear this up, Rival Stars breeding is in no way genetically accurate

If you want to make more of these breeding videos and get double genders in rivals stars again, you could try breeding the same horses again until you get a foal with the right gender that has the same or very similar coat pattern (not necessarily the exact same colour).

Hi! I play the sims a lot, and i play with mods. I don’t know if you like play with mods but there are some really nice mods for horses that make them look a lot better, such as default “skins”, changing the horse model, and tack.

Could you please make more creating famous racehorses and maybe when the steeplechase update comes out on pc so you can race the horses that are jump horses sich as red rum and maybe tiger roll

When a horse is the wrong gender in rival stars you could re-create them as a coustom horse, I understand that the lineage wont line up but its better than nothing

My horses never even had moms coat and dads hair or other way around it was always an exact copy of mom or dad :')
Also next time the colour drop selector will help with colour matching 😊

lol To be fair, I don't think you did that bad! I will say, though, the Sims has a really big horse community. 😋And so there's lots of good horse related custom content and mods to make them look better, and that includes preset stencils people have made for horse coats, which make it much much easier and faster to create particular coat patterns so you don't have to do it all by hand. That might be helpful if you'd like to do this again

you could always recreate the grown up horse in the rival stars creator if you don’t get a mare and stallion!

I do think that sime 3 is just better then sims 4. Like the horses are cute but they are not on the sims 3 level of good. With that said, Why don't you make a video of brreding in sims 3? (If you still have the game ofc)

I feel like they could’ve done something with the breeding like Alicia online, you’ve played Alicia so I think you know what I mean lol.
The outcome would depend on the horses lineage, or they could’ve done a whole dice roll between the coat pattern and coat but higher odds to get the parents coat colour & pattern. I hope what I’m trying to say makes sense lol.
They could’ve done better with the genetic part of the breeding but overall it’s a great pack from what I’ve seen! (Haven’t played it, my laptop doesn’t have enough space for the sims 😢 made that misstake lol)
But I remember ts3 breeding with horses & etc being allot better with the genetics/dice roll in coat colour & pattern.
Rival stars is soooo inaccurate with their genetics system. Like dilutes do not hide except 1 cream gene on black… like it’s close to being the most realistic but it’s still sooooo inaccurate. But thank you for showing us this. My pc died this time last year then I had a baby so haven’t gotten to play it yet ❤
Also, in rival stars does now more than one breed. I’m pretty sure there’s now to breeds of horses.

Updates to HORSE TALES EMERALD VALLEY RANCH. I posted on the last livestream you did, but I guess you missed the message. Arabians are now available; new outfits, and horses will spawn in pastures; you can tack up a horse in pasture also.

I do like the sims 4 horses, i like the hair details on them but i wish their facial features werent as cartoonish.
Unfortunately my biggest issue with sims 4 horses is that you cant get them to breed. You can 'encourage' it but you cant just do it like you can in sims 3.
On a regular play through that would be fine but I really enjoy doing working/breeding ranches and the horse generation challenges.
Idk if there is one, but if someone makes a mod to change this then I would immediately download 🤣

Right!? Imo it was really disconnected that I can't control my horse (like I could in Sims 3) and they also removed basic mechanics like leading and jump courses 😔
