personal opinion: loki x sylvie isn't self-cest. reasoning: Loki and Sylvie are two completely different human beings. Sylvie in episode 3 says she doesn't want to be called a "Loki" because she isn't one. Loki and Sylvie have had two very different experiences and became two different people with some similarities. Originally, they were supposed to play the same role in two different universes, but that changed. The "self-love" bit the writers talked about is (in my opinion) going to refer to the traits Sylvie and Loki share. Loki learns to love Sylvie's mischievousness and wit, but also realizes he has that too and therefore loves himself more. Once he realizes it isn't a competition of "who is the better Loki" because Sylvie isn't one, he learns it doesn't matter because there is no band of Lokis but individual people. The nexus event was caused because Loki learns to care about someone other than himself and learns to love himself AS WELL AS another person. This is just my take on what I have seen and I cannot speak for the writers, but this is what I want to believe so don't attack me :D
the only thing that really stinks on this whole thing for me is that they have literally the same parents (or at LEAST father) therefore same blood, genetics. thats why id find it really weird perhaps wrong if they make them a couple at the end of series. plus i feel like theyd rush it too much, even force it for some reason. i mean come on they know each other (so far) for like 2-3 days. idk thats just how i see it.

So yeah they have parents by the same name, but were raised two different people by different people. In episode 3 sylvie says, "what was YOUR mother like?" which I think is a clear way of marvel saying these two are only "related" because they have the same role in their universes. I can totally see your side on the 2-3 days. From my perspective, they instantly had a connection but didn't know each other quite well. Plus they had spent at least 10 hours alone together on Lamentis-1 while in a life or death situation where they needed to trust each other. That's why I think their relationship became so strong so quickly. They legit had to trust each other with their own lives immediately.
Honestly, this series has slowly been becoming my favorite since I watched episode one! I’ve stuck with Loki since Thor and now this show has won me over! 💕
Episode 4 was emotional but exciting to watch, I wonder what happened to Loki in the world full of other versions of Loki. The guy who directed this says episodes 4 and 5 are his favorite and episode 4 was really good, so I have a feeling episode 5 is going to be good.
Loki from the mcu is by far one of the best made villains in my opinion because honestly you really do feel for him before he dies and i love that we get more on his true personality in his series
I thought the Loki/Sylvie thing was less about romance and more about self love. Like Loki learning to love himself and trust someone was the nexus event because in the main timeline he never learned to do that.
The only thing they have in common is that their titled as a loki. They are different independent people with different thought processes at least imo.
i think my biggest problem with them together is that the show-runners mention the show including loki learning self-love. so even if WE don’t see them as the same person, the show does, so if they do get together it’s basically self-cest if you view from the same point as the show-runners so i’m hoping they don’t get together so i don’t have to think about all the implications that the show-runners intended
