Quinn-o! To my mind, and I'm a child of the late 60s nd 70s, he was among perhaps 20 or so actors and actresses who was a genuine Hollywood great.

Quinn was truly great in "Lawrence of Arabia." It was a great movie, with a great cast, but it all worked so much better because of Quinn's passion and strength.

Wonderful that Quinn is describing the Michael Chekhov Acting technique, for the transformational process of deeply connecting with the character and allowing it to play through your body. He went into great detail about his using Michael Chekhov Techniques in a one-hour interview I did with him in 1994. Wonderful for him to talk specifically about how he used Chekhov work to have these experiences.

Great film. Rooney, Gleason and Quinn had an incredible chemistry in the film.
      A classic.

I once saw Anthony Quinn in a 1940s Italian film, in Italian, playing a circus strong-man.
He had a much wider range than we would think.

And just as importantly, he had a sense of humility, something that distinguishes a real man from what passes for actors today.

Not just newer interviewers either. The much lauded Charlie Rose could have taken a leaf out of Cavett's book as well, when it comes to letting people speak.

Please post as many of the interviews you have from Dick Cavett's live morning talk show from 1968-1969. I know most have been erased but the more of these rare shows whether the entire show or just clips would really be appreciated

    Dear Dick Cavett show,
Can you please upload interview clips of the late, great Robert Shaw. He was such an interesting and engaging guest appearing on the show at least 5 times.
    E.g:
    Woody Allen/Robert Shaw/Beverly Sills/Jacqueline Wexler (29 Dec. 1969)
    Thanks in advance.

I think when one can be themself in front of the camera then that’s the secret to good acting. Since no two are alike there is no book or school that can teach you but only you know when your being yourself and when your not being yourself. So only you know how to teach you.

do have nothing against the other celebs that were on this show but is this channel ever going to show the Dick Cavett shows where he interviews Jackie Gleason or Art Carney? How about any Honeymooners actors that were part of the main cast? These are rare much like all the other Dick Cavett interviews

Cavett asked Brando about acting and Brando basically ducked the question. Quinn does the same thing here. Cavett is trying to get them to reveal how they do it, how do they get on character. And they just won’t tell him. Which is kinda strange. Like magicians who don’t want to tell the public how they perform the illusions.
