WOW. Now that was REAL. I loved every word. A great interviewer. She really set the tone to let him open up. His candor and reflection are so refreshing.
For Years I thought he was Italian then I thought he was Greek. VIVA!! Senior Anthony Quinn. Now I know why I adored him so much. A kindred spirit. Thanks for posting 😎
completely agree with you, must have been a wonderfull man, so handsome, so talented, so full of passion and humour ... comme on dit en Français "le moule est cassé" !*
I was wondering the same thing. He was from East Los Angeles, attended Belvedere High School, my Mom knew people, that knew him. Great Actor, he was a strong resemblence to My Grandfather. My Mother and her sibling's, owned a home and we'r raised, in the same area.@@raylenenielsen5943
If only I had been blessed to have met this fascinating, intelligent, amazing man !! Thank God for the films he was in especially - you guessed it - "Zorba The Greek" !!!
Anthony Quinn was the perfect actor and man to play Alexis Zorba. He captured the spirit of Zorba as in the book of Nikos Kazantzakis and brought him to life in the big screen. Forever one of the great actors and artists of all time!
@@georgemartinez8434 no, he's father was Mexican and he clarify that. In the yesteryears they use to make fake bios and backgrounds to make a movie star more attractive.
That was the best Anthony Quinn interview I've ever watched. There have been so many stupid interviewers, empty questions and in some cases demeaning this smart, gifted man Anthony Quinn. What great interesting questions. I wanted to know these types of things about this man. His honest heartfelt answers blew my mind. Thank you for doing it. 🙏🏽
Wow with all the admiration from fans, colleagues, women, children, family he has never let himself be loved. A brilliant man, with a zest for life, talent beyond measure. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE MR. QUINN ☮✝️💜🌹❤🙏💯
Now you see why only Anthony Quinn could play Zorba, what a wonderful actor full of life, and emotion, the lady interviewing was very kind and intelligent and extraordinarily sensitive allowing him to show his humanity, what a fabulous interview.
Everyone should watch his movie "Barrabas", and the one with La Magnani about the town folks hiding the wine. That to me is what good cinema , with great acting is like.
This is a very, very good interview. I think today we do not see such people of enormous character and achievement neither do we see interviewers who can respond to a guest with such intelligence and interest. Now, it is all about people with nothing to say yet talking incessantly, and stupid, flippant interviewers. Times certainly have changed. It is a vacuous age.
A mixture of Irish and Mexican blood made Anthony Quinn the impulsive hot blooded man he was and who's temper when roused was known in Hollywood as second only to that of another man of mainly Irish heritage the great Burt Lancaster. It is reckoned by some that it is only in the last thirty years or so that the Irish have finally thrown off the tendency to think and act with their heads and not their hearts. Of course with this the poetry of the nation has also changed and the unique Celtic character has almost completely disappeared. Anthony Quinn was a great actor with the heart of a poet.
i remember my dad was watching THE GUNS OF NAVARONE 1961,and there was a scene where he[quinn] was faking getting a kind of seizure and tricking the germans.and my dad said 'THATS GREAT ACTING' in that scene
And somebody defined Art in an even better way by saying : "Art is what humans do to not die of reality"...That is why artists who sold out to ruthless tyrants like under communism in places like Cuba, and the ex USSR and to Fascism in Europe betrayed and soiled the very definition of Art. And that also applies to many in today's so cynical Hollyweird.
I did not know this side of Anthony.....he kept it well hidden throughout his like......except maybe to those he allowed to come close......seems very few.
All points to real faith every religious book holds a message, one Lord . Islam,Jewish, Christian, Hindu Veda and Sikh. One Lord. Only he can give satisfaction through imaan ( faith) wish peace be on all . GOD be with you . As ww3 and anti christ ( ad dajjal ) comes to make his appearance.
Despite Nr. Quinn's ignorance about who is the Only One to pray to. I still would have had a life time blessing to have had 48 hours of his private time to talk heart to heart soul to soul and human male to human male. Isaiah 43-45:11.
i dont think he deserved the academy award and not kirk douglas in lust for life. and this is about the most pretentious insincere 2 people interview ever seen.
Anthony Quinn could act rings around Kirk Doglas and Kirk was extradordinary. He captured the attention and of his audience and held it. He was magnificent. .

Marlon Brandon. I just love watching him. They are both geniuses and love their acting..
It is nice when personalities like him are interviewed by whoever can really conduct an interview!
It is not always the case.
Kudos to this lady
Wow! This interview blew me away. Mr. Quinn is such an open and honest fella. I admire greatly all his talents but mostly his genuine personality.
This new generation of men don't hold a candle to this man. He is what my generation called
"A man's man "
Tony Quinn Was such a terrific actor and passionate man. Great interview you had with him at the time!

Katherine Quinn I'm reading his book "One man tango,"good read.
CATARINA🙂
Are you related to him? Sorry if that’s a dumb question.

My Mom played tennis with "Tony" for a long time.
@doreekaplan2589 Wow ... like we used to say way back in the 60's, "Groovy baby, gruu-vee!".
Excellent interview with a fascinatingly complex individual
One of my favorite actors.

Excellent interview -- reflective and likely more meaningful to "older" individuals able to relate to the thoughts past a certain age.
Now you see why only Anthony Quinn could play Zorba, what a wonderful actor full of life, and emotion, the lady interviewing was very kind and intelligent and extraordinarily sensitive allowing him to show his humanity, what a fabulous interview.
Ty for showing this interview
A true human being.
My God I loved him and I always will...... Really a PERFECT MAN at least in my pinon

Barabbas is amazing
I never knew that i had so much in common with this man and out of all peoples it’s Anthony quinn....😳
Wonderful actor
Not surprising he was complex
Playing all those roles over the

You NEED to watch this guy in La Strada (1954) BEST ACTING of all time.
Yes, a must-see! With an equally brilliant Giulietta Masina (Federico Fellini's wife in private life).
All the actors and artists when they get old they get crazy, complicated and they says the truth. It's a fact.
He realised he did not have long
THANKS
I really loved Anthony Quinn after seeing him in 'The Message'. I always hoped that that role had a profound effect on him, I know it did me.
Great acteur.i love watching him. RIP
Complicated? Or rather complex. With a mind that juggles a multitude of variables beyond the formal.
One of the greats
Wow just wow
I like hes way of thinking
Very articulate man!
Le plus grand acteur du monde ,une legende
"I ve loved mostly men" well it takes a REAL man to say this! One who's not afraid to be misinterpreted and one who can NEVER be misinterpreted.
Great man great actor

Legend
He was a very intelligent man. Although he did not have a college education but he reinvented himself.
Intense and complicated, i prefer this type of men

He is my idol.
You shouldnt have idols :) Just listen to Quinn in The Message :)
i watched his movie The Message even yesterday
'you have to earn it', too right
What is the name of the woman doing the interview?
Lion of the desert
Umar Al Mukhtar and also as Hamza Prophet Muhammad's uncle in The Message.
I love Anthony Quinn -,ZORBA!!! I pray he planned for the after life by asking Jesus into his heart before taking his last breath!! 🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️🙏✝️

Sounds like a very uncomplicated man who has lived a long, rich life.
nice guy
Here is a man who didn't meet many of the right / well informed and critically minded women in his life.
He was excellent in 'Gotti'

Nothing she’s bringing up his worst memories. Hunger. The dark side of life. Why ?? Hollywood was jello’s of Tony.

He is not the Creator of this world and beyond. He should have read Isaiah 43: or the whole chapter.
Oddly enough he was of Mexican-American descent.
3/4 Mexican1/4 Irish but moved to USA in infancy.

Anthony Quinn could act rings around Kirk Doglas and Kirk was extradordinary. He captured the attention and of his audience and held it.
He was magnificent. .
he wasnt competing with kirk Douglas in that award: Kirk was nominated for best actor and Anthony for best supporting actor
