This session was AWESOME. I agreed 100 percent with what Nick was saying, he brought up important points. Overall, I believe you definitely have to be careful with what you say & do because everybody is so hungry for attention and money, they will sell you out in a heartbeat. My personal opinion, it sounds nice, but having some drama & fighting & tearing each other down is something that I don’t think the black community really wants to fix. It’s like they need it to survive.
This goes directly back to Nick's comment in his session w Franklin of him embracing the role of villian. This notion that if something goes wrong in AA male-female relationships it is always the male's fault. Even if the women "misbehaves" by breaking some societal norm, it's still the man's fault on some level. It's insulting to say that it's idiotic for men to ask why are women so masculine. People wonder why men don't talk more about their feelings. This is why. If women were to ask why men are so feminine there would be a long, detaled, serious discussion about what's gone wrong w men. I love how people always tak about creating safe spaces for unprotected groups. I hope that Nick uses this platform as a safe space for men to talk and be themselves.

If women are becoming more masculine bc men are becoming more feminine thus creating a power void, couldn't it be that men are becoming more feminine bc women are behaving more masculine thus also creating a power void? What power void came first, men's or women's?
