  • SNOWRUNNER is an offroad truck driving game where you deliver cargo in challenging terrain. I'm playing hard mode for the first time, and recording my experience as my first ever TH-cam content. #snowrunner

Recently found your channel and love you're approach to this. Glad I have quite a backlog to work through! I've also just started my own playthrough of hard mode and it's always nice to see how other people handle things. Looking forward to watching the 125+ other episodes I have in my list now!

Hey, thanks for the comment, glad you are enjoying the series! I'm about 50% of the way through hard mode, just about getting done with Kola Peninsula. Still having a blast with it. :)

I actually think they made inredible job with NG+
the fact that I logged into Wreckfest after a year and suddenly had 12 DLC vehicles in garage was always pet peeve of mine.
I would probably play NG+ with Hardcore settings, the only thing I would change (if the option is there) would be to be able to sell empty trailers for, I don't know, 25% of their price?
I mean realistically, if you can sell stock suspension of a broken ass truck you just found in a swamp, you should be able to sell second hand trailer for at least something. I mean they can be useful to have on hand, but when you get to a point where you have five flatbed trailers, you probably can sell two of them

I've also found that just using your truck to haul multiple loads is preferable to pulling a trailer and your loaded truck to make just one trip. It takes longer but you can edit out the second run. That would speed things up a bunch because trailers are usually the main culprit of you getting stuck, and just being able to creep along.

Yes, there's definitely a point where trailers do more harm than good. As the series progresses into Kola Peninsula I do a fair bit of dual truck convoy running, treating one as a 'powered trailer'. Really helps on challenging terrain to have a second vehicle nearby to pull me back onto my wheels. 🤣
Also, later series I rely a lot less on cutting footage, because I don't like hiding hard mode content. I use more timelapes but with the narration over the top. My tools for video editing evolve quite a lot from series one. 😊

Dolly trailers are not intended to be reversed. In most cases they are designed to take the weight off your hitch. Most of the road trucks that use them for maneuverability two 27 foot trailers can turn in less space than a 53 foot. On the turnpikes they will do double and triple 53’s just to move a lot of stuff in one trip but relay them at the end points to the final destination.

That makes sense. :) I also find them useful in some situations where they can ride over rough terrain easier than a semi, because of the front set of wheels. I still love to hate dollies tho. :)

@@AtlayGaming I’m not a fan of them either. In game though if you disconnect and pull next to them and attach the side winch points you can back them up. It’s not super realistic but it’s a good workaround.

I just started a new game plus. after watching your hard mode. I felt the same that normal just feels easy after Smithville. and over rely on recover to not drive back. I felt like i was getting lazy. but with new game plus i wanted to mimick hard mode but tweak it. when I first started never liked that things are locked behind player lvl. instead of letting us pick what we spend money on. so I put that everything is open to buy from start and all trucks. I start with a random American scout. sell trailers for 50% and no gas at garage. I randomized gas prices so I seen up to 35 a gal. to off ser that I made contracts pay 150% more value . but funny how buying off road tires and mud tires for one truck makes you broke almost right away haah. if I was to flip both cars I would have no money to recover thats how tight money is. enjoying your playthrough!

Sounds fun, and I can remember at the start being in a situation where if I rolled a truck I'd pretty much have to restart the save, so that's exciting. I like your settings for New Game+, except that I personally would probably not randomise anything. I like order and predictability. 😁
