Much respect to you for doing this without even jacking up the W123! I'm a skinny guy, and it was still too tight under there for me to replaced my flex discs without jacking up the car on stands.
MJM’s Workshop after unbolting them I found there was a way to collapse the shaft but didn't have the tool. Being at the junkyard I ended up cutting the driveshaft as most the car was dismantled.

Pretty sure I had it jacked up but it’s been awhile and I didn’t rewatch the video to help me remember.
its best to have a bottle jack to hold the transmission so you can take off the transmission cross member and have more space to work with
Are there alignment mark on both side of the prop shaft? I have my 86 250d checked. Didnt notice he put marking before taking them off
There were no marks on mine.
I'm working on a 79' but bolts hold the shafts to the flex disks. How can I get it out
you should be able to unbolt them

In my case it was a 79' 300d with a manual
