    He mentored the deadliest monster of that era. The crew made Big Paul untouchable. No one crossed the Gambino family. After Paul got busted over Roy’s racket he had Roy killed and that emboldened Gotti. From all accounts Gotti feared Demeo and his crew.

    I dig your mob bios....they have some info I haven't heard from their other documentarys. Appreciate you taking the time to make these.
    I'd love to see one on Tony Mirra. He was basically the one who brought around Joe Pistone into the Bonanno family right? Ok, so we see Sonny Black bios.. Ruggieroo bios... lots of info online about the "three capos murders"...Sonny Red...All those guys referenced in the movie Donny Brasco as well... But one important person is NEVER mentioned in the film, or anything. Tony freakin Mirra! His wiki page makes him seem like a very interesting/ruthless wiseguy. Rumor has it he banged/dated Goldie Hawn back when she was a dancer who got around.

      I've often wonder the same thing. It appears they can't escape the life. Also, many squander the money blowing it gambling and on other things. I was reading about Joe Bonanno last night how, even as a young man, he was faithful to his wife and children, didn't go out gambling, and always invested his money in legitimate businesses. He was there when the modern-day five families came into existences and he outlived them all dying at the age of 97 in 2002. He may have been smarter than most.

    Idk how they haven't made a movie about the Gemini crew already. Murder Machine and Gaspipes books were incredible. Unfortunately, I haven't read Sammy's Underboss yet. Murder Machine though was surreal, like,a solar eclipse,how did all these killers all find each other. Roy Demeo was straight up psycho.

    Interesting documentary! Does anyone know if James Eppolito, Sr. and Jr. were related to Lou Eppolito, the so-called 'Mafia cop' who allegedly had ties with the Lucchese crime family? I assume Eppolito might be a rather common name, but I was wondering if there was a family connection. I also noticed a Joseph Testa--any relation to Phil 'Chicken Man' Testa and his son Salvie out of Philadelphia?

    • @nitekilla
      @nitekilla 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lou Eppolito's uncle was James Sr. You were, correct they were related. Phil Testa COULD be related to Joey but it's a long shot, I highly doubt it, Testa is not very uncommon as a last name.

    Nino Gaggi held the leash of Roy DeMeo, whom led a crew of car thieves (to occupy their spare time), as well as the most notorious band of bloodthirsty murderers that made Murder Incorporated look like Sunday School... It was their killing talents that kept the heat off them during all of the he 70s and the early 80s, as their services were sought after by not only their own family, the Gambinos, but by ANY family within the Commission's realm (including the rest of the United States and their territories) that HAD a definite "problem", and were prepared to pay for a definite "solution"! When all the DeMeo/Gemini Crew's actions started attracting the attention of the Federal, State, and local authorities, it was time for Big Paul Castellano to shut DeMeo and the Gemini Crew down! I don't care if the present building where the Gemini Lounge was, is a church, and HAS been one for over the last 20 years, that place is still THE most notorious mob slaughterhouse and mortuary in all of the City of New York!

      Yeah the Gemini twins. That’s what I heard too, that would make sense because Gaspipe Casso admitted involvement and they joined up with the Luchesse family right after the Demeo hit and done the Vladimir Reznikov hit for him also so I it’s very likely it was in fact the twins.
