From what ive seen with the stellar blade stuff is that it's a counter reaction to a bunch of journalists getting pissy about the character in the game.
No journalist is getting pissy about it, all quoted articles have at worst, been pointing out that the only depth and substance the game has is 80% porn and goon-bait. Which is true, and created a "counter reaction" from the gooners that want to play porn games.
nah. I've seen people with this way of thinking for years. there are porn addicts that seriously think that every female character in games and movies MUST be super sexual.
People complained that in MK1 the women looked ugly. you can tell these people have never spoken to a women in real life

I feel like the weapon + window shopper do need a nerf because that little setup can basically be splashed into any demon hunter deck and it's automatically strong. It's just like how wildpaw gnoll + maestra was super splashable and strong in any rogue deck and ended up getting nerfed
I mean you can’t put it in a demon hunter deck that focuses on demons when the whole combo of it is that the weapon pulls out your only demon which is window shopper
@@lrainwater1608 Fair, but that is the one style of deck in which you cannot and I feel as though demon hunter has access to enough cards at this point to run non - demon minions; even enough to fill a highlander list.
That doesn't just go for aggro package either, as the bigger demons from previous expacs that would want to be in greedier lists are easily cuttable because they just aren't all that strong of a payoff relative to their required investment (the exact opposite of window shopper package).

It is a bit more nuanced than that. The whole movement around it is just a natural artistic shift that happened multiple times throughout our history. Basically whenever an art style becomes the norm, there's always those who dislike it, these people often create an alternative style, often either improving the current style, or doing the opposite. So, since the current style is to make characters pretty, idealistic and perfect, the counter movement is to make characters flawed, realistic and ugly.
There's nothing wrong with it- provided that was where things started and ended, unfortunately that is not the case. The movement is being lead by people who believe they're in the right, thus instead of just doing their own thing, they instead want to shift the whole industry to do things the way they do. Which of course, results on pushback from those who are a fan of the current style.
This also puts a target on them, making anything they do, or don't do a cause for distrust from the consumer. Whenever they fumble and produce a bad game, or when they shame developers that don't follow their beliefs, or whenever someone who believes in the movement has reprehensible and hypocritical ideals, even if they are just individuals, the consumer will blame, and associate it to the whole movement, as humans are great at identifying patterns, but not the reason behind them.
Then we reach the point we are today, where people got burnt too many times by these developers, they do not agree with what the developers are doing and regard anything related to their "ideal," to be equally as bad, regardless of the quality of it.
TL;DR : This is a normal progression of art, but because people disagree with it, and the people behind it do things they disagree with, they feel more correct or justified to push back against it.

Like, I've seen some people complain about female characters being overly sexualized, but not one who complained just about a woman being attractive.
