  • This is how you decide whether a Better Employee needs to be Hired for a Company, or the Boss is at Fault...
There were 3 stone crushers in Europe in the Middle Ages... each of them was asked, what are you doing?
The first said, I’m crushing stones.
The second said, I’m working to earn a wage.
And the third said, I’m helping build one of the grandest Cathedrals in the world.
Clearly, every employer wants the third type - an Employee who has a grand vision for what the company is doing and finds purpose in his work - doing it for the joy of contributing to something that’ll give him more value than just the monetary compensation attached to it.
But unfortunately, if in a Company, less than 20% people feel like the third employee...
    It’s not their fault...
It’s probably the Fault of the Employer!
To sell a grand vision... convey the purpose of what is being built... how each person’s work will contribute to a bigger outcome...
Is not for the employee to figure out themself.
This comes from constant effort towards training, internal alignment, periodic feedback...
And giving employees much more than just monetary compensation... i.e. an opportunity to learn and be a part of a great culture of team doing something fabulous.
And unfortunately, most people who narrate the lesson from this story stop at the answer given by the third employee.
We’re no longer in the Middle Ages... Companies must take on the onus.

Thanks, Sarthak sir. Please continue making these kinds of informative videos. It's people with experience like you who can say these things, and hearing it from you makes more sense than hearing it from someone else.
