The first two tunes played by Richard are not King's Reel and Jenny's Chickens. Ashley starts King's Reel @ 3:18, and BTW the only place it is called King George the IV (which is actually a strasthpey) is on the album Island Angel by the Irish group Altan -- clearly a misprint or misattribution since it is often played with Old King's Reel and King's Reel by Buddy Mcmaster (not McIsaac), where they learned it from. Jenny's Chickens, with both Ashley and Richard, starts at 3:54. What Richard is actually playing at the beginning is a good question. They sound like Dan R. MacDonald tunes possibly though.
This is enough to rouse the ghosts of Winston Scotty Fitzgerald, Jerry Holland, John Morris Rankin, and let us not forget, John MacDougall! ....I'll bet they were all dancing in heaven!!! Slainte! ; )
in his day Gerry could dance the feet of anyone ...still see him in west mabou dances and holds his own with any of them ........always takes time to talk to me and the wife ..
I love how Ashley loves the music & makes it a party with everyone included. The music is primary for him.
❤ I love your tenacity, your mom and dad would be even prouder today than ever… congrats on the stomping Tom award…much deserved!😊
I remember this! This is from Rita MacNeil's tv show. I used to work on her show!
Hmm? I might be related to him.
I saw Richard Wood many years ago in Bury and he was amazing
Also Cindy Thompson Butineau on fiddle and Cara Butler Irish Dancing :D

That's the Old Dublin Pub, in Charlottetown. He plays at the Old Triangle regularly there too. No cover at the door!
You’re still awesome Richard…xo
Fantastic!! Thanks...
So cute, you were so young Richard … ;)😊

I can't think of the first, but the second is a John Morris Rankin tune, "the Weasel"
right, the Weasel. good tune. not sure why I would Dan R. for the first tune. duh.

Awesome fiddling...I am still trying to figure out how Ashley plays the fiddle backwards (from 5ths to 4ths)...
in his day Gerry could dance the feet of anyone ...still see him in west mabou dances and holds his own with any of them ........always takes time to talk to me and the wife ..
.. you can tell they love the music they play.. even if it is choreographed.
