    Mandatory vasectomies is a very viable concept.....
    In terms of the big picture:
    1. Stops unchosen pregnancy
    2. Stops mental and physical life long scars on female children from unchosen pregnancy.
    3. Stops young men from being held accountable to 18 years of child support by an unchosen pregnancy.
    4. Stops fathers from going to jail for failure to make support payments.
    5. Removes the need for social programs.
    Which, in my opinion will, over time, result in every single child being a chosen child and the return of the family unit with fathers in the home to raise their children and to give their sons a hands on role model.
    Or....... you know, the government can give women's bodies back.

    Lots of women are ordering misoprostol from abroad. Also, miscarriages can be induced safely (but inadvisedly!) via supplements available at any drugstore. An early abortion (the vast majority) are indistinguishable from miscarriages, and nobody has to give medical staff any particular details, and nobody should ever talk to the police without an attorney.
    None of this is ideal, of course.

    6 week ban is a cop out. Either you are against abortion or you are not. A fetus is a potential person at conception, so if you are anti abortion the 6 week ban is hypocritical I can see rescue missions happening for these women with people volunteering to take legs of a car ride to get them someplace for an abortion. .It's what they do in animal rescue. I also believe people will find them a free place to stay.

    • @ronaldking1054
      @ronaldking1054 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Firstly, the 6-week ban is a complete ban. They are just pretending by throwing a very small bone to women.
      Secondly, there is a reason why one might want to put in restrictions, but it has nothing to do with what the Republican legislatures are saying. A fetus is assaulting in order to live. It has stolen an organ. No other human being has this right. For some reason, anti-abortion people think fetuses do. I do not understand it since they are claiming they want to pass fetal personhood bills. Apparently, it only gives privileges and ignores disabilities. I, on the other hand, think the fetus should enjoy all the privileges and disabilities of being a person or human. One of those privileges is once someone has helped me to live through CPR is that I get rights that they not injure me through gross incompetence. If the person doesn't give me CPR, I don't have a right to demand they do so. The time period is simply when we assume the woman decided to be a mother, and it has nothing to do with how likely the fetus is to become a baby.

      People are also leaving MS and LA. CA (and to a lesser extent NY) are victims of their own success. They rank very well on the Human Development Index (measures of well-being), although not as well as New England. They've become very expensive as a result. CA's damned NIMBYs have done so much to prevent housing construction; it's infuriating. The lesson here is that neoliberal capitalist parties are unable to address these human needs.

      As for tax on unrealised gains it only applies to assets which have not been taxed for 90+ years so that would be at least 3 generations of tax exempt asset holdings - unlikely to be an issue for the vast majority of people and I am someone who is strongly against the concept of taxing unrealised gains because history shows that type of wealth tax is nearly always counterproductive
