- Do all you can to be great at your job. But you have to be honest with yourself. - Be someone who reduces the stress of the people around you. - Be honest with yourself about whether you're a stress creator or stress reducer.
"Reduce the stress of the people around you" has been, without having said it in those words, kinda my motto. I read about not thinking you'd know better than the people in charge, not complaining just because you feel entitled, and enjoying seeing other people's lives looking better cause you're there... it's paid off every.single.time. And not necessarily regarding money.

I started a vending machine business last year as a side job while I am employed to a corporate world. Now I rely more on my earnings in my vending machine business. Such a good idea to start one
KamariFerrari what about small businesses? Like I understand companies like amazon and Walmart can afford to pay $15 an hour but what about your local shops? Won’t this just wipe out the small business and allow the corporations to grow as a result? I’m genuinely curious and I really want to hear other people’s point of view
@@mitchelll3189 It would be a huge boon to small businesses. Maybe not in the first or second month of paying those hourly rates but relatively quickly local businesses will thrive under that. The thing that local businesses have to compete over the cheap prices of big stores is quality that usually comes at a slight cost premium. Most people don't want to pay less for a worse service or worse products so once they start getting paid more and get some debts out of the way they will go to those local businesses much more frequently than they otherwise would
Mitchell L small businesses can manage themselves better. Countless times I see local businesses with far too many employees on duty doing nothing and wasting time just to get paid 7 dollars an hour. Higher minimum wage can encourage employing only what is necessary for a wage that will influence the employee to demonstrate effective habits while on duty
It is bad business to pay for 15 dollars an hour for a task that should only cost $7 dollars an hour to complete. Example, cashiers at fast food restaurants, were demanding 15 dollars an hour, they are now getting replaced with automatic ordering machines that allow customers to put in their order. Operating cost of those machines are less than 15 dollars an hour. If you force a business to pay 15 dollars an hour for a low skilled worker, a business will do whatever it can to reduce that cost. Raising the minimum wage will not fix the issue. Those jobs are meant for low skilled high school students, not to support entire families. Continued increases to the minimum wage, will cause everyone to be pay $20 for a fast food burger. . . who is going to pay that?
Mitchell L Walmart, target, Amazon want 15 an hour min wage. They can afford the 100k point of sale and inventory systems that eliminate jobs. Small stores cannot. Local Walmart had one attendant to 10 self checkout registers last time I was there. That’s what 15 an hour looks like
bugz1591 everything seems great when you only say the positives about a law change, but there’s always a hidden backlash. For example store prices will skyrocket
Store prices will skyrocket and all those jobs that will get paid $15 an hour will be replaced by robots. It's happening as we speak. No point of that wage if there are no jobs
@@Claricio People in Norway pay much higher taxes and prices are generally higher than in the US, yet quality of life is great. Even a janitor will be able to send his kids to college, has access to good medical services and can at the very least pay the rent for a decent household for his family. High prices wouldn't be an issue if purchasing power, in the form of decent wages, kept up with them. And yes, I know a 7 million population makes implementing those standards easier than a 300 million one but incremental steps could be taken instead of treating employees as used tissue paper and feeding them scraps.
Yeah, but here's another solution: theres already government jobs that pay over 15/hr that dont require a college degree. Those departments are always short staffed, too, so they'll always need workers.

He's talked about it before, whether or not he's serious tbd
He recently said he strongly considered it, but then talked to his kids and they said no.
Not going to happen. All 3 of his kids told him no
Despite being a billionaire, Mark Cuban is such a down to earth guy!
I feel he's a little aggressive the way he talks but yes he has excellent advice. I agreed upon everything he said. He does seem pretty modest and frank for being a billionaire.
lmao, if he only know whats hes actually attitude is.
He is self made. That’s why
Down to earth?

Omar Khan he’s running for presidency, he went viral and his numbers keep going up check him out for sure
He’s not an idiot, so no

This was actually surprisingly insightful. Great advice!

Who didn’t tell him to fix his tie?
It's the only thing I see....
He doesn’t need to impress anyone. He’d rather say “idgaf” and be comfortable lol
Ur mother. 🤣🤣
He hates suits and ties so I think his intention was to look like he DGAF.
@@particle_wave7614 Probably that was the case lmao I love mark, but its a shame because its a nice tie, would looked great if he fixed it
Honestly I can see Mark Cuban running for President in the near future.
He was floating the idea last cycle as well
- Do all you can to be great at your job.
Customer service is so important to me. If a store has amazing customer service, I'll definitely come back, and I'll definitely recommend it to other people. It makes me want that business to succeed. Likewise, if the people working at a place are super rude, condescending, or impatient, then I'll never go there again-- even if their products or prices were really great!
For this 13 minutes I felt like I'm somebody. Thanks Mark, for increasing my self esteem temporarily.
Better title: Mark Cuban wears a suit, and he wasn't going to court
I have a lot more respect for Cuban after watching this. He seems like the ambitious version of a reasonable human being.
He tells it the way it the way he sees it. Not always right or tactful, but direct and pragmatic.
"5a. The butterfly effect applies. We don't know what combination of big or little things will make the things better or worse until they happen." - Mark Cuban, 3 months before 2020.
Really hit the nail on the head there bud
The way he said “went 7 years without a vacation” makes me feel bad that i have not taken one vacation in my working life, of near 20 years.... i have not really thought of it before now lol
Thats your choice. I was working at mcdonalds and took a vacation.

As a Dem, I'd somersault over party lines if Cuban ran as a republican.
That’s exactly the thought that this video left me with. Sign me the F@ck up.
well not with his views, he won't
I third this notion… but is he even openly republican? Because it seems to me he would probably fit the ideals of a libertarian despite being to intelligent to associate with the people that actually constitute the official libertarian party.

When he talked about paying minimum wage. It makes you see how humble he really is and sees it as a form of service to give back to the community. He's a respectable wealthy person.
He seems so harsh and wreckless on Shark Tank but that person was only for the viewership.
5:32 "Could pay for UBI..." #Yanggang
I just searched on google how much people make working for him to see if he was just all talk about the wages and just as an intern they get payed 16-18 dollars an hour and he’s straight forward also he’s great speech person with how he just reads the questions and didn’t take 5 seconds to answer them. I am amazed 😃
*Appreciate your videos! I’m 54 and younger generations should know there’s no shortcut to acquiring wealth, but there are ways to go about it. So rich that he doesn't care to straighten his tie.
he's well known to hate suits and can't stand why people wear them
I think he mentioned that he wanted to become so rich that he doesn't have to wear a tie/suit. And he became that rich.
Recycled comment.
@@Icrine I'm just like him,but broke.

People think Mark Cuban is arrogant person. Not at all, just a Pittsburgh guy who made it and went, “well… FU&@ this is awesome”, and getting money doesn’t change you, it just brings out your inner yinzer
No inner yinzers are just crotchety terrible people, I'd argue that you have to shed the yinzer persona if you wanna make it anywhere outside of pittsburgh

End 2019: No one knows when a recession is coming.
Begin 2020: Coronavirus.
11:20 Perfect reply to the whole minimum wage issue.
But the insanity of the whole issue in the U.S. is the constant fear of medical issues bankrupting citizens, even with $15 minimum wage in place.
Also insane student loans on people who haven't even started working yet. That's just nuts. Just so many layered issues that keep the people under the boot and in fear for their future. Add corruption on all levels and you have the mess that is the US of A atm. Next recession will be super ugly.
Esa Edvik The government has to stop guaranteeing loans to students. That will drive the cost of universities down. End student loans.
Mark Cuban should become the new US president. (beside Mark Cuban always had a rivalry against Donald Trump in the past)

The part about the wages was just like wow I never thought of it like that
KamariFerrari what about small businesses?
That’s what 15 an hour looks like

sad, youre a fan of a billionare?
SO MUCH VALUABLE CONCEPTS HERE! I had to watch it 5 times just to absord all of them. Thanks!
It sounded pretty nice what he said about minimum wage
bugz1591 everything seems great when you only say the positives about a law change, but there’s always a hidden backlash.
@@mappybc6097 Norway also doesn't outspend other nations I'm military spending by far, doesn't have to make interest payments on tens of trillions in national debt, maintain the largest prison population, and have the most expense college and medical systems in the world...
