40,000 subs are not enough for the amount of effort and passion that goes into EVERY SINGLE REVIEW. By far my favourite channel on TH-cam, and that's a guy whos obsessed with starwars, g1 transformers and marvel. Outstanding stuff!!!!

SwitchUp yeah I didn’t have a wiiu so I never played the first one so I’m excited to play it. This year is pretty packed for games so I’ve had to wait for a lot of indies to go on sale to just build up a backlog of ones I want to play. Eshop has been like steam lately with some crazy sales lol

After hearing what you had to say about it, I think I'll be picking it up--it does sound like something I'd enjoy. I love how your reviews always let us know how you _felt_ when playing the game--you're a very good writer :) I still think you guys could do without the numerical grading system, or at least could stand to simplify it. A single number will never capture the depth of your words, and I really don't like the underlying assumption of numerical scores, i.e., that artworks like games can be simply summarized as a single point on a linear scale between 'bad' and 'good'. Your reviews are way too good to be reduced to a numbers.

I pre bought this game on the eshop, been looking forward to playing it, I've only just started out but I think I'm going to like it. My only disappointment is the dlc isn't free it's 4.99, but hopefully I enjoy the game regardless

This is my favorite game 100% I love a grinding game makes you think ahead of what you want to do. Best graphics for the Nintendo Switch. Prefect game.
I tried this out for a few hours on Xbox earlier this year, and I started to enjoy the gameplay loop quite a bit. But that version was feature incomplete, and some 20+ patches behind the PC version. Zombies weren’t available, and yeah, after a while, having a workforce to do at least the basic mining and lumber work would be invaluable. So I stopped playing, hoping they’d finally patch it, but they never did (until recently, I think to coincide with the Switch release). I might go ahead and get the Switch version, because this probably feels better in handheld mode. I was playing it on Game Pass, but I’m currently not subscribed to that.
Ive had this preordered and this review solidifies a great purchase! Was wondering about the dlc. Is it included with the game or do you have to purchase it separately? Also, is dlc highly recommended in your opinion? It def seems helpful!
I prepurchased this last week because I’d seen some gameplay of it on a stardew valley channel I liked when I was into stardew valley. Maybe I got ahead of myself with the purchase because there wasn’t much reason to rush, but hopefully I won’t regret doing that when I actually get to play
I'm interested, but I will add it to my wishlist and wait for a sale while I work through other games clamoring for my attention. Also, the price went up to $19.99 here in the US, and the DLC is $4.99.
Fantastic review and some great humor about the various aspects of the game. I laughed just as much as was surprised at being how interested I would be in caring for corpses and graves. This game came out of nowhere and looks to be a hidden gem. Kudos!

I just feel like I don't know what I am doing. It is this aspect that makes me hesitate on Graveyard Keeper. Are components of the game introduced progressively so you get a chance to understand it or is it just all thrown at you? There is a part of me that really wants to get into it, but I am also just so heavily extended on the many games I have started that I need to finish for the stories sake. And Mark, your narration is great. Makes me think that you could easily do a Walkthrough series or tutorial series of games. Maybe consider that when you go full time (not as if you already aren't devoting full time hours into this channel). Happy to be a Patreon supporting your dream.

What I really like is how there are no time constraints - it means you can chill and learn what's happening. Its such a shame, the PC version is currently 10% cheaper (without steam summer sale). Why is it Switch games are so expensive? Is there a bigger tax on them? A higher Cut Nintendo takes from all the Eshop Sales?

You can't play the PC version on a bus or train unless you bring a laptop. Portability is what you're paying extra for unless you want to be locked to a computer or laptop.
If I had to define this game in one sentence it would be "It overstays its welcome". Make no mistake, I don't regret my time with it, but at about the 30 hour mark I realized I had enough and stopped for good. The grind was getting progressively higher while the story and technology advancement had slowed to a crawl. And this is counting the use of zombies. I don't even want to know how annoying the game would have become if I wasn't using them. I'd say I still got my money's worth, considering the price I got it for and the time I invested in it, but I think the value would have increased much more if the grind wasn't so painful.
Dude love your video! However, one thing I would like to point out in my opinion is that Grinding a game is exactly what this game is meant to be like just like SDV and that can’t be a negative when the devs made it this Much grinding intentionally. Furthermore, I completely agree the sound is missing from rain and sincerely hope they fix that since it just feels lacking. Love your reviews keep it up
Cheers dude!! I'd humbly disagree on intent being a disqualifying factor for a feature being negative. The execution just isn't perfect, your stamina drops too quickly in my opinion - which I guess is why they added the expansion with the semi automatic grinding of some more basic things. Great review as always, thank you. The one criticism I have is your use of the word “Oriental” when referencing some of the music. Personally, as an Asian American I don’t find it particularly derogatory (I’ve been called far worse lol) but I know that it’s thought of as a slur by some in the Asian community because of it’s racial undertones and use during WWII with the Internment camps. The word was often synonymous and helped to justify immigration exclusion, racial discrimination, violence, and segregation during this time. As a matter of fact a US bill was recently signed into law prohibiting the use of this word in any federal document. Again, I’m not offended by it and the context you used it in, certainly wasn’t meant to be a slur... just thought you might like to know the weight of that word and how it might affect some. Keep up the stellar work! I find your reviews some of the most informative when trying to decide if a game is meant for me and worth my hard earned money!

Has anyone come across the glitch in the switch version of the game where donkey just doesn't bring bodies anymore? I mean before you even get to the bit where you fix his cart? If the game doesn't have that glitch then I will buy a switch lite to play this game. Thank you anyone.
I have heard a lot about this glitch. I want to get the game on switch, but I'm hesitant as to get it or not. Apparently there also was some sort of save but where it would crash and even if you saved your progress would be set back a week (or something along those lines). I've tried to find a definitive answer but haven't found anything yet. I've decided that I will get it today and after playing for a while I can come back to you and tell you what I think.

Trust me don't buy this game its terrible and has shady devs behind it. Initially its fun... Until you realise what a boring empty slog the entire game is.

Hows the stability on the Switch version? I’ve only tried the iOS version for a few minutes before discovering its unplayably buggy - crash galore.
Its such a shame, the PC version is currently 10% cheaper (without steam summer sale).
Why is it Switch games are so expensive? Is there a bigger tax on them? A higher Cut Nintendo

You can't play the PC version on a bus or train unless you bring a laptop. Portability is what you're paying extra for unless you want to be locked to a computer or laptop.

If I had to define this game in one sentence it would be "It overstays its welcome". Make no mistake, I don't regret my time with it, but at about the 30 hour mark I realized I had enough and stopped for good. The grind was getting progressively higher while the story and technology advancement had slowed to a crawl. And this is counting the use of zombies. I don't even want to know how annoying the game would have become if I wasn't using them.
I'd say I still got my money's worth, considering the price I got it for and the time I invested in it, but I think the value would have increased much more if the grind wasn't so painful.
Dude love your video! However, one thing I would like to point out in my opinion is that Grinding a game is exactly what this game is meant to be like just like SDV and that can’t be a negative when the devs made it this Much grinding intentionally. Furthermore, I completely agree the sound is missing from rain and sincerely hope they fix that since it just feels lacking. Love your reviews keep it up
Cheers dude!! I'd humbly disagree on intent being a disqualifying factor for a feature being negative. The execution just isn't perfect, your stamina drops too quickly in my opinion - which I guess is why they added the expansion with the semi automatic grinding of some more basic things.

The one criticism I have is your use of the word “Oriental” when referencing some of the music.
Personally, as an Asian American I don’t find it particularly derogatory (I’ve been called far worse lol) but I know that it’s thought of as a slur by some in the Asian community because of it’s racial undertones and use during WWII with the Internment camps. The word was often synonymous and helped to justify immigration exclusion, racial discrimination, violence, and segregation during this time.
As a matter of fact a US bill was recently signed into law prohibiting the use of this word in any federal document.
Again, I’m not offended by it and the context you used it in, certainly wasn’t meant to be a slur... just thought you might like to know the weight of that word and how it might affect some.
Keep up the stellar work! I find your reviews some of the most informative when trying to decide if a game is meant for me and worth my hard earned money!

Once again, you just made me buy another game. Love games like this that you can be "free" but you have a great story, side missions and more. I do need more games like this type. So far I have shakwdown Hawaii, friends of Ringo Ishikawa, Assassin's Creed and Stardew Valley.

Actually cannibalism is totally optional, you can always catch frogs (easy) or buy them from Clotho for cheeeap, they give same meat (even more in quantity) then corpses.

Has anyone come across the glitch in the switch version of the game where donkey just doesn't bring bodies anymore? I mean before you even get to the bit where you fix his cart? If the game doesn't have that glitch then I will buy a switch lite to play this game. Thank you anyone.
I have heard a lot about this glitch. I want to get the game on switch, but I'm hesitant as to get it or not. Apparently there also was some sort of save but where it would crash and even if you saved your progress would be set back a week (or something along those lines). I've tried to find a definitive answer but haven't found anything yet. I've decided that I will get it today and after playing for a while I can come back to you and tell you what I think.

Trust me don't buy this game its terrible and has shady devs behind it. Initially its fun... Until you realise what a boring empty slog the entire game is.
So basically the devs of this game know that the game is broken mechanically so they cell u DLC to fix it. Fucking make sense to me.
