James Toney is my all time favourite boxer, never ducked anyone and allways came to win in 4 different weight classes. Simply legend in his own time. Wish him good health and luck! would love to see him against wlad

Wlad would kill him???.... Wlad has NEVER killed anybody unless they were washed-up and past-it, like Mercer and Botha, or they were not a real heavyweight in the first place, like David Haye... If Wlad was fighting an opponent that actually had some talent, were a decent fighter, and in their 'better years', they weren't some washed-up fighter, like Ray Mercer, then Wladimir LOST.... Couldn't knock out David Haye... Klitschos were businessmen first and boxers second... Vitali, the better of the brothers, he couldn't beat an out-of-retirement, been sitting on his ass for over a year, an overweight, a tired, and an unambitious, done it all, Lennox Lewis... Vitali was in his prime, and still couldn't knock him out, other fighters have knocked Lewis down, knocked him out, and Vitali couldn't knock out Chisora, went 12 rounds.... David Haye battered Chisora... Klitschos were absolutely shite, total shit.

16:23 ..funniest part!! Had me rollin' dying of laughter. His reaction after being asked of Gennady Golvkin. Toney replies, "WHO!" LMFAO!!!! His comments about Bernard and Roy is same old, but still funny. And of course calling The Klitschko's bitches. This is my favorite interview of him and I'm glad it's not short.

James Toney is one of the most intelligent boxers the sport has ever witnessed...
I believe what he said. I think he would handily beat and embarrass in the ring some of the top ranked fighters today.

James Toney has a very deceptive reach, finds his way in with the jab as much as he basically wants,he has been sparring really tall partners for along time if only for a shot at the klitchkos! He fought 6'4 Lucas Browne who has more power than either of the klitchkos and rivals Wilder for sure.Toney won the first 6 rounds of that fight even to the people that hate on him & he certainly took a couple of the mid to late rounds, if I recall 8 and 10. Toney would ravage his body boefore KO'ing him.

Toney is right about canelo though, and the fact is guys are getting title shots to early or to late, very rarely is anything right in boxing from the past since 6 or 7 years. Promoters are making bad decisions as well as management of fighters/talent. when Toney isn't being too hilarious,I mean don't get me wrong,he is great to watch still but when he is relaxed and talking the real stuff,he is captivating and interesting to listen too. He just speaks the truth, and that is refreshing for me.

Legendary stuff.Regardless and Despite any haters arguments he is one of the greatest to ever tape up and lace up.I would train with Toney any day over any fighter in the world just for his words, just for his wisdom and inspirational words. He breathes confidence, he lives heart and speaks it. He knows defence like no other and is just so knowledgeable about the nuances of the science.

Hopkins would have been slaughtered by James at anytime, why you may ask ? Bernard is not a runner, he is a ducker, a chucker and he ties up. Toney eats guys like Bernard for fun his whole career, the only guy like that to ever beat him was Drake Thadzi, though not as skilled as Hopkins had great power and decent skill, now Thadzi got that gift decision though any real boxing guru knows Toney won that fight but that was around the time the negative agenda against Toney was well on its way.

I like the respect for Toney,No need to hate on Toney because he has weight issues and a minor speech impediment, some of these haters are so rediculous, but never mind them.Toney would have KO'd Haye and the Klitchkos when he was a cruiserweight.Like when he fought the last lets say 10 fights at cruiser weight,he would have slaughtered every heavyweight in that time frame. He was too skilled and his physical attributes where balanced; powerful enough but hands were more than quick enough as well.

I honestly think that Floyd carried Canelo the distance. He respected this young lion a lot. I actually like Canelo. He's humble with a pleasant attitude. Plus he's very talented. However, not on Floyd's level. Remember the Jordan era... No rings for Barkley, Ewing, Malone, Miller, and Stockton, and they were great.Too bad for Floyd's future opposition. He's gonna destroy them, and not give the judges the chance to rob him of any victories.

He was always a natural cruiserweight at least.
