  • The difference in latency between vsync and fastsync.
There is one with none enabled as a control.
Captured with the slow motion camera of the iPhone 6 plus
Vsync and fastsync is both free solutions to screen tearing.
Vsync caps your fps meaning that to get satisfying results, your PC must be able to push out more fps than your monitor's refresh rate.
Fast sync requires less frames to be put out than your max refresh rate if not stuttering will occur.
V sync does come with some negatives, that is increased input latency as shown in the video.

    I like this test :D

Did you realize you mixed up "no sync" and "fast sync"? Ther is no any tearing in no sync and v-sync, but strangle there is teraring in fastsync and has the lowest input lag. :)

inconsistent tests, To do a good analysis, in your razer software you can put in Lightning tab the "Responsive" effect, wich will turn on the light on mouse click, but you first need to measure the lag of that led turning on. Then it's preferable to do an instant effect on click, like CSGO shooting on a wall or something similar. The UT3 link gun may not lead to accurate results

Capping fps in fastsync mode gives you more input lag ?? I oced my monitor to 86 hz

      capping is a input lag

If you use Fast sync, do you turn vsync on or off in games or doesn't it matter?

Bailey you only use one or the other. Not both at once

    RTSS Low Lag (60hz):
limiter 59.9fps (in game less lag)
    Scanline Sync (-60)
    or
    Scanline 2x (-60)
    Limiter 119.9fps (RTSS less lag)

are you sure¿. fast sync isnt making it more teary?

    • @fasttutorials2419
      @fasttutorials2419  7 ปีที่แล้ว

MrCazador123 yes. The point of fast sync is to eliminate tearing issues and I can say that it does it just as well as vsync while significantly lowering input latency. I will do a comparison soon in the future.

its a V sync that does not cap your fps

BrotherO4 vsync caps your fps at whatever refresh rate your monitor is

This isn't even close to an accurate test.

Try adaptative, that kick fastsync and win more fps
