As someone who doesn’t spend on the game and have many 55% units, int characters are my favourite because of the free dodge they get
I agree with 6:50 on stacking Def being worthless, It's only great if the card has a defensive ability to fall back on. (Guard, DR, Dodge and Etc)
true. have fun running str cooler for 45 turns just to get a decent level of defense

If a character is using raw defense we need either greatly raising def (50) or massively raising (100)

My take on #3, beastless Gohan was anything but "overhatted" on release. He was hyped up as being beast Gohan, going so far as to have them quite literally spell it out for us. We then got an Ultimate Gohan, which is actually a decent unit in terms of being an ultimate Gohan, who had massive ki issues. It doesn't matter that he CAN be strong when he has 24 ki and gets all his additionals, including hipo, and they are all supers, but when it takes an entire team dedicated to getting him that ki and he just normals instead of supers so he doesn't stack and gets 1-shot... hate justified, especially when you consider the beast that is Orange Piccolo.
Not to mention when they showed him off he was right next to orange piccolo in his giant form. So people can say the hate wasn't justified when dokkan themselves made it look like at first that he was a transformation instead of an active skill and that's it
Yeah there is no reality in which the backlash towards the way they handled Gohan was not completely and utterly justified.
@dull1831 He didn't even mention the build-up Dokkan did to Beastless Fraudhan, like there were 2 campaigns before him hyping up his celebration with the Cell Max event and the DFE Gamma's. Then they went out of their way to make the New Year's units into LR's which they never did before with Gohan's card animation literally having him transform into Beast. Like no shit people thought they where getting an LR transforming Beast unit lol.

I remember being a hater of INT units back in the day. "If only they didnt have the dodge id be able to get them 5 more crit/AA!" Now though its more like, "damn, They get to 20 dodge with a full dodge HiPo, that's most definitely what's up". Especially INT F2P characters. Makes the full dodge builds that much better.

Its a common thing to say about this game but i feel like theres hardly anything left they can do to keep the game goin except doin more crossover banners and events(aside from more ezas). If the game keeps going after year 10, I'll be surprised... and I'll be there when the servers close down.

My hot take is that I don’t want joined forces units to get categories that one of the characters in the card would have. Example I don’t want Goku and Piccolo to be on Namekians, pure saiyans or Goku family.
I like the blue bois BECAUSE of Vegito. They hit like wet noodles in base and you have 2 rotations of them tanking and then you have to pray you’re low enough on health to fuse otherwise its dodge or die

You say raise defense doesn’t matter in current meta but they can get clapped anyway turn 1 in hard content even after doing their super attacks. They are lacking defensively and it’s a fact. Even Gt Spirit bomb suffer from that turn 1. At least they have a better survival chance after supering.
I don't even know what his exact argument is supposed to be. He randomly brings up attack when the original person is focused on guard. He dismisses def raise because it "means nothing by itself", but again the person brought up guard, which would be a powerful combo. Like if he argued against gusrd because it might ruin the below 50% hp requirement for the standby maybe I would get it but I have two arguments:
1: the standby also has second condition so you're not gonna be locked out of using it
2: even with guard it's not impossible to fall under 50% hp, in fact the gt duo was given damage reduction despite also having the same hp condition.

Passive: 150% def and 170% atk, 100% def when performing sa, 250% atk gurabteed crit and guranteed hit on ultra sa (once only), 100% chance to dodge on the first turn, from turn 3 onwards great chance to dodge, launches 2 additionals each has high chance of becoming sa, revive the same, if hp is below 15% disable dodge (to self) and -120% to atk and def

Dmg reduction is so strong that they never make a character have more than 50% dmg reduction and good defense. The bigger the DR the lower the DEF
AGL Golden Frieza and STR SS3 Vegeta are still usable despite being one of the oldest EZA's in the game.

The same thing applies to any high level dodge characters.
Hot take: they need to bring back double linking.
Tbh ultimate gohan and ssj3 gotenks should get their own lr and both should eza their turs, maybe even have a majin buu saga celebration, 2 more lrs kid buu and buuhan are viable options, but they could easily make a base angel goku turns into ssj3 lr and base vegeta lr into majin vegeta

The buu duo are good but I would rather take trunks or super saiyan 4 goku and all of these 3 standby are mutually exclusive and they still take a little damage from normals against the big INT bosses after doing 4 supers making them basically defensively useless without thier standby. I want to love them because of their animations so I use them A LOT but I sadly am going to have to deem them aged out unless we get an update where we can have multiple charge skills up at once before thier defense without their standby is completely aged
I'm just happy we automatically get 30 stam on world tournament now instead of wasting time to build up. I'll gladly take that.
I hope we get beast gohan (who is strong defensively slot 2)and teq gohan gets an awesome eza to be his slow one

The othervideo was really cool, some takes that the guy thought were valid and were not that good, at least if he did it for clout he did well. This time Abu felt like he went against some of the most popular takes just for the sake of notoriety, he contradicted himself multiple times and some of the takes just made no sense on a objective standpoint, like the Broly one. Next time i suggest to skim through this stuff before, expecially if the person creating the thread asks you to review it

Vegeta 20% dr start of turn build up and extra 20% with each attack received (up to 60%). Goku gain and 10% chance to dodge with each attack dodged and increased defense when he dodges
i disagree global is such a big part of the community. i guarantee they are listening and a ton of global players hate chain battle in fact out of my 5 friends who play none of them even play the mode because they think its not fun. the reality is twitter is a small subsection of the community and the reality is global makes nearly as much as jp and in some cases even more from what i saw WWDC global made more money than jp. I think it was a lot of players not liking the mode. I also think it partially has to do with synching the games up as well.
I think people who want AGL UI Goku’s EZA to make him the number 1 unit in the game, just have fomo from Legends releasing 3 or 4 in the past 2 years. Keep in mind that game is younger than Dokkan so they need to spam those same characters. We’re going into the 9th anniversary sooooo 😂
I’d rather him be alright so whenever we get a new UI HE can be busted broken. People just want an excuse to run the old ones again because they’re a new player or a vet and have them rainbow’d 50 times or something. Eh with that thought, power creep ages units in 1-2 years, use your new units while you can. Gacha games don’t have them last forever obviously
He keeps saying fusion zamasu brainrot infects the community but I think datruth is one that perpetrated it by constantly saying it’s most relevant fight so every unit should be able to do it goin forward, I think judging off one or two fights isn’t good

Revive conditions can definetly change since they are written on the passive itself. Just remember that, for example, F2P LR Phy Roshi his hp condition slightly changes when EZAd.
So for the 6th Anni units they could surely work around and improve their conditions as well. I dont think they will change them entirely but at least reduce the number in the requirement

A couple of points and Truth wont even read this buuuuut-
They tend to make characters good that they like and the creators. For example super hero movie was meant to be a piccolo movie but they explained the fans love Gohan so Toriyama updated the story to include, so orange piccolo is busted. 23rd wt is dragonball greatness even Truth has been begging for them for ages so clearly were going to be amazing, basically is the Japanese showing respect where they see needed culturally and we get lucky sometimes where I genuinely think most units would suck 😂

hell no he is not is his numbers damage wise possibly better yes but hes a glass cannon who's so restrictive you can't count on his un- guaranteed defense. Im not slurping dodge I think high DR is the best defensive option in the game because its not rng based but statistically and due to the mechanics of the game 50% dodge will always be better than 50% guard its just how it is other than that whats the difference on super attack not much.
