On the farm, our cook toasted the coffee beans at 11:00 every day, and he knew that they had to be no darker than his chocolate colour skin, While having our lunch. he ground the beans, and made the coffee with an Italian Moka, ready for finishing off his wonderful meals.
WHAT memories of Tanzania. We loved going to Kikuletwa springs, the water was great, but was virtually unknown at those times.
Strange to hear the present prices in shillings, compared to what was the value in the fifties, with a dozen eggs or a bunch of bananas costing 1 shilling, and a packet of ten cigarettes costing "senti kumi".

Wow amazing. I'm visiting Arusha this Dec in 2 weeks. 7 day safari and 8 days stay around Arusha. I have noted down already some places to visit. Your video really helps. What's the name of the fruit market pls ? Taxi driver seems a nice guy. I love to hire him for day tours.

Thanks for the taste of Arusha. I notice a couple things about your video. How much of this is personal style, who you are interested in, cultural/legal local realities and TH-cam policy? Unlike in Southeast Asia, where women (and people in general) do not mind having their picture taken (and it is welcomed in some places, i.e. Philippines) I get the impression that this is not the case in Tanzania. Unless you know a person or you have a business relationship with them, most of your images are of people's backs, very brief and males. This strikes me as so different than all the videos I saw of Asia just five years back. And it is not just your videos. Am I correct in my assessment or did I get it entirely wrong? I am seeing so many videos of Tanzania that consists 80% of the narrator rather than the locals, with females and especially female children (and indeed old people) being almost entirely absent. Co-incidence?
Hmm I think I am following you... I will do my best to answer your question as I have also been to Southeast Asia. Many of my trips are solo, I end up on a lot of tours or adventures by myself (only tourist), so I always ask the local or guide I am with if they mind my filming, I have not had a negative answer yet. I know in some rural areas (Tanzania included) many of the locals and tribes believe the camera actually captures your spirit and they want nothing to do with it, that is why it is wise to ask. Not sure if that answered your question, but my main interest is to inspire others to visit these beautiful places, like Tanzania. I recommend very much.
