I swear Ralph looks just like he did on the Arsenio Hall show in 1989... same facial structure, same build, just a slightly older version of himself.
Ralph always seemed like a real down-to-earth brother. The best part is there's no showcasing here. No trying to portray a young guy's persona. Just an honest interview. He could have left New Edition many times and left those guys out in the cold as the lead singer, but he was a true team player and a professional. I believe him when he said his portrayal in the movie was the absolute truth. I think he probably put in the most work in terms of keeping the group together.
AlexanderNevermind maybe because when they did their own thing Ralph's was the not as successful as BB, and BBD.
@@Mr_JRH The timing was probably what messed things up for him the most. When he had the first chance to go solo, he held off for the sake of the group. By the time he did it, Bobby was already starting to get some traction. Ralph definitely took one for the team. If anyone had any reason to be bitter, it would have been him. But the brother always seemed to remain mellow about it.

If Rickey could dismiss RT so easily, no he was not sincere. BBD will drop RT, when they want to tour. They don't give a damn. He should have made other streams of income. I just "Love" Ralph/Rizz, he is very smart man and he's a leader, he's not just a singer with his own albums and he's not just a lead singer of New Edition, but he turned himself into a serious "Business-Man" and a "Star"and the ladies love him everywhere. He makes women feel very special everywhere he go. And he created his own style & swag, even his dancing stands out, and he's still going strong, no wonder his net worth is eight (8) million dollars. And he continues to create things in the group and out. He really stands out in the group N.E, and he makes them shine a little more brighter. Even though they all shine on their own. Y'know, Ralph Tresvant was ALWAYS MY FAVORITE member of New Edition! As the group's LEAD SINGER, I always thought that HE should've been the BREAKOUT solo star out of NE. I completely got it when I saw the movie, totally get feeling some type of way. You know, people can talk all day long about "the group," but if the movie reflected Ralph one-thousand like Ralph says, his heart was all in...his heart was NE all day, all night - every day, 24-7. And at the end of the day, talk is cheap. He stepped up and showed his love for NE through his actions and remained humbled throughout. That said, the behind the scenes producers/execs - WHOEVAH - did not make good on their promises to him, they did not deliver and he obviously feels he missed his "pie in the sky." Rightfully so. From a fan who has followed NE from the beginning, I have to agree with what the man said here. All of the guys together are NE and I love them all, but Ralph is not just the lead singer in NE, Ralph IS NE. Ralph is the beating

Met this young Man in Memphis and he was extremely well mannered. He answered questions with Yes Sir and Yes Ma'am and this was around 2007 after he was well established. He even joked and said his name was Bobby when an older lady recognized him but couldn't remember his name. I then said to him stop lying everybody knows your name is Johnny and he just laughed. No ego tripping just a very nice young man. It was very refreshing to see.

ralph to me wasn't just the lead singer but seemed like a leader of the group. Always "seeing the bigger picture" and making sacrifices for the group. He was offered a solo career and to be a star at 12 without the group and he said No.. "take us all or nothing". I mean... at that young who acts that mature, loyal and responsible"? Ralph is a seasoned professional (as are the other 5 members). New Edition was one of my biggest teenage influences. They are blessed to be over 50 while remaining healthy and relevant. My wife and I have two all time favorites.....New Edition and Prince. I hope they get back together to do what they do so well. Ronnie, Bobby, Ricky, Mike, Ralph and Johnny.....#NE4Life

I'll tell y'all this..I went on the Tom Joyner cruise I believe it was 2006..I only went because New Edition were on the cruise.. they performed twice and Tom Joyner telling us "if you already went and saw New Edition please don't go the second night and let the other people go see them"..I said to myself he must be crazy if he thinks I'm not going a second time..I paid all that money just to see them and went the second night too..I say this to say that BBD performed late that night and i could not get up to see them..but I did go to a Festival in Miami to see Heads of State (Ralph, Bobby and Johnny) in concert but have not motivated myself to go see RBRM. I loooove Ralph, so if he's not part of it I'm not going. Love you Ralph, best wishes and pray your album is banging. I will be supporting you.
