You know what, I might actually stick with the trusty Citation even though it's on the slow side. Just shot state target on the weekend and even the most horrible breaks were hitting the middle😂.
Disappointing to see a lack of a fully fledged anodised colours.
Good evolution of the EM cam to the M2 so it has that adjustable stop.

Looked like Dave Cousins was using this bow to win the world archery field championship a couple of days ago.
Hope to see a shooting review on this bow soon. I have saved up too by a brand new bow for the first time and can't really decide between this in 38 and the Elite Verdict, it really sucks not being able to try them out before spending almost an entire month salary 😕

I’ve decided to stick with shooting my version 1 Dominator of 7 years ago. Changed out my strings and got new ones, upgraded my sight / scope combo, and pretty much did a full on precision tune on it, and I have to say……it still shoots lights out. This puppy will probably compete for another 7 years before I even think about another “ Latest and greatest “ bow out there. Especially with prices of bows these days, I figure……” if ain’t broke, don’t fix it “. Personally, they should’ve just stayed with the original design. 😎🏹👍🤷‍♂️

I wonder if some of the design choices for recent bow releases are due to either cost cutting or trying to limit potential supply chain issues. We've seen that anodising caused big delays on last years Hoyt bows. Personally I much prefer a anodised riser over painted. The only time I'd go for paint would be for a custom colour.

I like the idea of the cam shim idea. Maybe it is better than the old LAS system of which I still use and like? I feel it might have issues and it bothers me. I really don't like the graphics on the limbs. I really don't like the flat painted finish on the riser. If I was to order one it be custom to get an anodized finish hopefully. I think you are right about the cable guard being a nice improvement. Converting it to opposite handed bow seems like a royal pita. I think I could like a 35 with SE cams, but it gains me almost nothing over my Shootdown in my opinion. That is based on advertised speed. Of which is one reason why I liked the Shootdown. I'd probably gravitate to the 38in M2 just for the Speed, but have no idea how an M2 cam will feel. I bought the E2 Levitate on a whim without any personal experience with one. It is okay, but not my favorite ever. I'm not going to do that with a target bow.
I absolutely love my Shootdown and thought if I was to try a shoot through riser it might be the Perform X simply because of the LAS system for the ease to tune. And I like graphics/finish better.

The ambidextrous feature has been done before, & handy for retailers I assume, but all the other cam selection decisions will override that benefit. Of course top archers & PSE pros will shoot with it & win, as with other bows, but from an archer bow buyer's perspective, there are other lovely bows out there to consider.

They're expensive in the UK: £150 less than a Stratos, but the fit and finish on the Hoyt is far superior. The Dominator Duo looks a nice enough bow, but there is nothing to wow you. No 1/4" adjustments, no adjustable grip, the shims are nice but hardly mind blowing. On top of this, the bow is a bit 'meh' to look at with very basic powder coat finishes. Well done PSE for getting rid of the junk cable guard assembly (which should never have been allowed on the RTX), but if you want to be the second most expensive bow brand in the UK after Hoyt, you need to do better. My guess is that the huge number of top PSE pros that they signed in the last two years has forced PSE to dramatically increase retail prices of their bows. Such a shame. The Supra series were good value and the RTX is if you can find a good price. Otherwise, at least in the UK, they're considerably more expensive than Mathews and Mybo, more than Elite etc. I just see no good reason to pay that kind of money for a PSE when they are not as nicely put together as the other brands and offer fewer features.

@@mariusventer6146 he’s talked about the archery business since this channel started dude. Clearly you haven’t watched much of his stuff,
It’s not politics btw, it’s business. Your assumption that the other business is small because he keeps low stock shows you know very little about business. He may only sell to order and keep 5 “show bows”.
He may have huge cash reserves he’s leaning on to push competitors out of selling PSE. In fact there maybe something there that archery supplies is stocking too much.
Steven is expressing that he bought a lot of PSE stock upfront and their loyalty to him as a distributor and vendor is nonexistent letting someone else come in and sell for below cost.
He’s probably bought millions of dollars of PSE and this guy who buys 5 likely for show bows then sells to order undercuts him and PSE just shrugs their shoulders.
In one case PSE get paid faster and the customer gets to take their bow home that day, it’s a better experience for both sides of Stevens business but PSE didn’t value that,
It maybe they don’t care much for the Aussie market period, I don’t know. But to dismiss it as “politics” is kinda silly not to mention definitionally incorrect.

For me it hurts my smaller dealers as they mainly sell PSE or only stock PSE and all of a sudden their line is done. When I first got PSE Pete demanded an order of 200,000 up front. That way your all in. You stock the bows you promote the products - you build a dealer network. When I loose a small dealer in the country, I loose archery in that spot. In Canberra I sold 5 million a year. Now Canberra has no store. Archery is not as big there now. Unless you can make Archery a viable business you will not create stores and build archery.
When I went through my Divorce I offered my business to her - I was more than happy to go back to the public service. Think about it I have a 5 million dollar a year turn over and Im happy to walk away from it and go back to the public service.
Because one guy can't do basic Maths and is going broke and he will be broke. He is sending many shops out at the same time and killing a brand. When I started with PSE I had not seen a PSE bow in years. PSE in Australia was so small a hand full of bows a year. So it is heart breaking for me to see my dealers close their doors. Peter in Wagga had a great business for 20 years, now he is brick laying. my 2 cents.
