i used to but then i was hardly ever allowed to hang out with people i like... only at school, in fact i was only able to hang out with my best friend consistently till grade 5. All of my life before grade five outside of recess at public school was pure silence, the idea of having someone sitting beside me who i could talk to made me overjoyed. But my best friend was taken out and homeschooled at grade 5 which was the first time i remember ever crying for a reason other than physical pain (if you think i mean i have abusive parents, no i do not at all... they just arent very fun to hang out with socially because it usually results in chores or anxiety inducing situations within 1 minute). After my bestfriend was taken out i moved to talking to another friend who i said hi to occasionally and hung out with him for grade 5 - 8 but it was mostly just walking around the school yard and sitting on rocks daydreaming. He is now into vaping and that's all he really talks about now, *I don't have anything against vaping, I'd just rather not talk about it since i might think of using one again,* grade 9 was mostly me just talking to whoever was beside me making temporary friendships where i had to act like i was happy and had to fake laughs so i was still considered fun enough to hang out with during class. Guess what? Haven't seen her in a year... she probably switched schools. Now in Grade 10 it's hard to get my grades up because i want to throw up every single day, i go to the doctor and act like i don't know why but it's because i'm so anxious that i have cold sweats every night and can't think about anything without the paranoia of disappointment or losing more friends, now a friend i made in grade 1 who was like a brother to me is permanently moving to Saskatchewan only 5 days after my birthday, woohoo what a present. I've created this fake personality that i somewhat enjoy because i'm able to talk to two new friends and make jokes that are funny enough for the 3 of us to have genuine laughs, but the backlash of having a small friend group that i can laugh in is the fact that everyone else makes me out as some sort of weirdo because of this personality and so i just don't know what to do. People say to be yourself and not worry about how people think about you but what do you think i tried in public school? I wasn't planning on making comments like this on this account in case people debunk it in the future but i just cant after seeing this comment.
